Beware unreliable and don't pay with Zelle only visa read on to know why. I called for a road side…read moreservice on August 7th, 2026 (10:24 AM). I googled road side services and found Saavedra's close to where my truck was down. The service person arrived (12 noon) and diagnosed the problem as the starter ($75.00 charge viz Zelle). this is where things start going wrong. The mechanic left and said someone else would come to install the starter (arrived at 2 PM). I was told the job would be completed by 3 PM. It took to long to get the starter (from Pinon Hills about 45 to 50 miles away $589.61 via Zelle), I offer to pay for the starter from the parts house. The facility was closing @ 3:30 PM. In the mean time they had to get my out of the facility it was in ($150.00 charge). The mechanic (no sure he was experienced) couldn't get the starter off the truck, he claimed the bolts were to hard to remove and left to get a torch. When he returned, his boss showed up with the starter. Because the mechanic couldn't get the starter removed his boss want me to take the truck to his shop in Pinon Hills, Ca (45 to 50 miles away), apparently his doesn't understand the cost of fuel for tractor (International ProStar). He wanted me to leave the truck at his unsecure shop. They got the truck started so I could have it return to my secure yard. The boss complained about loss wages, which I covered ($350.00 via Zelle total $500.00 ), I told him to give the starter to my driver and give the driver the receipt for the starter. The next day at my yard my mechanic got the starter off and was going to replace it with starter I paid for. It was the wrong starter, I called and asked for the receipt which they did not give my driver. I was told to bring the starter to Pinon Hills and he would take back to the parts house, I asked where the started was purchased he said Cruz Truck parts, I went to Cruz truck parts in Fontana and was told the didn't sell the starter to anyone on Friday. After several phone conversations and being told how he was doing me a favor by going to the road call to help me out (he forgot it's service which he couldn't complete and still got paid for). He finally admitted he bought the starter form some shady parts dealer. Claiming there was a core charge (new starter doesn't have core charge), I bought the correct starter for International in Fontana ( there is no core charge). In the end this failed road service cost $1,164.61. I own a delivery company and have used over 100 road services and never had an experience like this. Lesson learned never pay with Zelle or any other form of payment other than Visa, you always dispute the charges.

My work van ( fully load with work materials) was stranded on a very difficult side of the road with a flat tire, i didn't have the proper tools & I had an injury to my left arm. Previously I called AAA but they refused to help me. They told me I had to call someone else because it was a commercial van. So I called MFC Roadside Assistance. He literally got there in 10 minutes. I ain't going to lie at first I thought what's this guy going to do because, He rolled up in a little white Toyota RAV4. I was expecting him to pull up in some kind of service vehicle. He then proceeded to charge me for services rendered before Services were rendered. I thought to myself what if he just gives up and leaves saying that he couldn't perform the services but he didn't. He's stuck it out and finished the job even though it was extremely difficult. He did it all in a timely manner. I am very appreciated with his services. Thank God He put Miguel in my path.
