I paid in good faith when they said only "finishing touches" were left. When I got home, several spots were missed -- old paint still showing, areas clearly needing another coat. I sent photos, and the painter promised to return when the weather allowed. Weeks passed with vague updates, then he showed up without notice, painted one strip, and left the rest unfinished. Messages now go unanswered. If I had withheld payment, I believe the work would have been completed. Poor communication, unfinished work, and no accountability. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

It began flaking immediately. They touched it up 3 times, but it just kept on flaking. I gave up, but now we wanted to sell our house, and it looked awful (see photos). The Final Coat told me it was out of warranty and was not their problem. I offered to split the cost with them in some manner, as I realize it's been 5 years now. They told me they would only redo it for full price. I had Deck Rescue redo it, it cost $1800, and our deck now looks fine. If The Final Coat had told me it would cost $3600 to redo and they would split it with me, I would have paid them the $1800. I also think that after retouching 3 times in 2019 they should have checked back with me to see if it was alright. If you are considering using Final Coat, I would think twice about it.
