First, the instructor who led our tour, Geoff White, was amazing. He was funny, very knowledgeable of the trail system and how to operate the snowmobile - he was the perfect tour guide and would highly recommend him. We've been coming to Mount Snow for almost 10 years now. Skiing, segways, Oktoberfest, Food & Wine, and now for the second year New Year's Eve. This trip we were looking for something different and came across Snowmobile Vermont in our search. They have four locations, one right at Mount Snow. They offer 2-hour day and night guided Snow mobile tours. We booked a 2-hour tour at 3pm for three people. The company's email receipt and reminder confirmation the night before our trip were professional and welcomed. They gave us information on what to wear, where to be and how early to arrive. We arrived at Mount Snow around 2:15 for the 3pm tour. There are signs guiding you upstairs to the tour center. When we arrived we were invited to sit around a cozy table in a room with a roaring stone fireplace. We signed wavers and waited for others to arrive. The safety demonstration by Mark was informative, and provided us with the confidence we needed to have a great experience. He was interesting and professional with some welcomed humor sprinkled in. Once we walked outside we were met by our guides. They spilt the groups up and our guide, Jeff, was waiting for us outside. He immediately got us on our snowmobiles and had us off and running. Our group of three were the only people in our group making for a great experience. Jeff had us stop from time to time to check in, wipe off our foggy visors and make sure we were ok. He even took photos of us and chat with us for a bit during our half-way break. Jeff was professional and personal. Our experience with Mount Snow Snowmobile Vermont was incredible. Helluva a good time on this tour! Great if you need a day off of the mountain or have some peeps in your party that don't like to hit the slopes. Everything was pretty much seamless; the booking (call even if it says full. They'll make another group at any designated time), the check-in, the info session and the ride itself. For two beginners, we had an amazing time. The snowmobiles were in great shape and easy to maneuver. You start off heading up some trails and then into the neighboring state park. Super cool straightaways where you can really open it up and fun scenery along the way. Our guide, Justin, was rad. Cool about stopping and letting everyone switch (if you ride as a duo), taking pics, and not being too conservative. We were cruising for about 1:45 before coming in and there were smiles all around the entire time. Would love to do this every weekend! Great time with Snowmobile Vermont. Kudos! Such an AMAZING experience. This was our first time snowmobiling and I felt extremely prepared with all the tips that the guides gave us before we got on the snowmobiles. Two hours was the perfect amount of time. Our guide Mikey was awesome - so fun and friendly. He made sure everyone was good along the way and made sure he was going at a pace that worked for the whole group. Once we warmed up he could tell we were doing great so he took us through a super fun and challenging path that opened up to a beautiful lake where we hit 63 mph bombing across the lake. Our tour guide and everyone we interacted with were great. But that is where it ended. We had forgotten our gift certificates at home, so after speaking with the employee checking in the guests. He said that we contact the manager and send our gift certificates and get a refund. We got in contact with the manager and he refused to refund us at all. After several messages back and forth he agreed to refund us after he received our unused gift certificates. So we send them out and haven't been refunded. We have tried to contact him since but there hasn't been any answer. read more

I did a snowmobile ride at 1 PM with a group of 5. When we were greeted at the door it was a very family oriented place and I was very happy with the service that we received, everyone was smiling and very welcoming. However, when we went on our tour I was very upset with the service that we received. The moment we started, the tour guide was very unfriendly. There were two moments when he stopped on our tour to personally yell at my family. I'm extremely upset that we were yelled at and not properly spoken to like adults. We were never doing things that were "dangerous" it was just us simply learning the trail of the area such as being able to keep up and staying together. I'm truly very upset with our tour guide and the way we were spoken to. He exactly said at one moment "If you do that one more time I'm throwing your keys in the fucking woods". That one member of our group was just not as close as he should be. I understand that his number one priority was to keep us safe. However, we should be spoken too, not YELLED at. This truly changed my feelings of our tour and I'm upset that we spent a lot of money on our tour that just led to us getting yelled at. Took the snowmobile tour last night on Mt Snow. We were their first group of the season. What a blast!!! It was so much fun for people of any age.
