Even if you don't hit jumps, riding the lift over this area to watch the pros is a show in itself. When to Visit Go: Late January through early March for the best snow. Mid-week is the "pro move" to avoid the Epic Pass weekend crowds. Avoid: Holiday weekends. The lines at the Bluebird can get brutal. The Logistics: Fireplaces & Live Music The Vibe: For that classic lodge feel, head to the Grand Summit Resort or the Fireplace Lodge. There is nothing better than thawing out your boots by a massive stone hearth. The Party: You haven't truly "done" Mount Snow until you hit Cuzzins. The staff at the mountain were all very helpful, friendly, and professional. The mover vans were convenient, taking us from the lodging to the mountain. They run every 15 minutes like clockwork. --Speaking of sticker shock the food at the mountain is very expensive, like ridiculously expensive. Six dollars for a 12 ounce bottled water! $8.50 for a waffle with some chocolate syrup on it? Even the 'authentic' NY pizza is $10 a slice and the slices are small and don't even really look like NY pizza. --The saving grace with the food would definitely be the macaroni and cheese, and they have many versions: like Pesto!. It comes out hot in these giant skillets. Definitely the winner if you're eating on the mountain, but I would suggest bringing your own food and water or else you're going to get fleeced. --Although the skiing and food were very expensive, the experience was worth it, and we will definitely be returning. --FYI-People from Vermont are super nice and helpful. Their website boasted of offering accommodations for small groups of 15. When I called, I was told that our group was too small for a group rate and even if I had extra attendees because the weekend we chose was a holiday weekend, a group rate would not be available. I then called a popular ski resort in the Catskills, who were less helpful than the resort in Massachusetts. I finally called Willard. The lady I spoke with walked me through the entire registration process for my party. When we arrived, we found very helpful and friendly staff. One staff member even helped me convince my daughter's very reluctant dad to try snowboarding. The staff distributing the rental equipment were equally pleasant and helpful. The snowboarding instructors went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. They quickly individualized lessons according to how quickly our snowboarders grasped concepts. My group left the mountain, with the hope of returning! Thank you staff of Willard for an amazing time and making my daughter's 16th birthday memorable.

New lift is nice, quick to top so can certainly can get a lot more runs in than previous years. Would like to see two feet of snow over the mountain, I feel like tree runs have improved and there are more of them now. Always the pitfall of coming here, which is why everyone who knows the history here knows that it's icy! Breakfast burrito was delicious for a quick grab and go in the lodge.
