Great experience, lots of fun and definitely a highlight of our trip! After mid October, they get the grounds ready for snowmobile.

There was only one other car parked there, though the lot looked like it could hold 35 - 40 cars. The hike from there was then a minimum of 0.6 miles (rocky and occasionally steep) to a lookout tower (25 feet tall, maybe). The summit was another 0.1 miles but probably wasn't even as high as the tower. We took the Slot trail up since it appeared to be more gradual (but was a bit longer). On the way back, we opted for the other option: the Slab trail (which was steeper but had steps cut into the dirt or fashioned from large stones, in spots). I would classify this hike as short but moderate. The tower views were pretty nice. It probably took us a bit over an hour to hike up and back.

The prices were reasonable, and you can't get closer to the reservoir without jumping in. The kayaks were clean and in good condition, not the fanciest, but more than adequate for a daylong paddle. Much…read moremore of a traditional hike (as opposed to climbing the ski trails on the resort), the path is well-marked and well-maintained. It is approximately 7.5 miles round trip to the summit and back. It is marked with blue blazes that are easy to follow. To find the trailhead, you must turn down Wheelerville Road off Route 4... keep in mind that this is an unpaved road. After approximately 4 miles, you will reach a sharp turn in the road. There is a turnoff to the left with a decent sized area for parking. The trail begins here and remains relatively flat for almost 2 miles. It follows Brewers Brook for some time, with a couple of bridge crosses over its rocky waters. After the initial 2 miles, the trail begins to climb more steeply until it joins the Appalachian and Long Trail (follow the white blazes for this section). Along this section is Cooper Lodge, a refuge for backpackers... built in 1939, it is the highest shelter on the Long Trail. Unfortunately it was covered in graffiti (I mean really... who brings spray paint 4,000 feet up a mountain?). To end the hike you scramble up the last and steepest part of the climb, emerging from the treeline to a panoramic view of the surrounding Green Mountains. It took about 3.5-4 hours of actual trekking to complete the hike. I am not a fast hiker by any means and took several breaks along the way (especially as it got steep!). Beware of the black flies that swarm in the spring/early summer. Overall, I was very pleased with this hike. Waterfalls, rivers, bridges, panoramic views. Doesn't get better than that!

About 30 minutes from the Queensbury Outlets, 45 minutes from Lake George Village, Adirondack ATV was well worth the drive. My family has had a vacation home in the area for 15 years, and I had been searching for a place like this the whole time. We showed up as a group of 8, and spent the next three hours with Chris and Lynn tearing up the 170 acre trail system they offer. All of their machines were brand new, meticulously maintained, and fast as hell! Their trails were well suited for beginner level riders, but also offered challenging courses for the experts as well. We came back after our three hour trip and warmed up in the lodge, which has a roaring wood burning stove, pot of chili, and fridge stocked with waters and sports drinks. Service like this doesn't exist anymore. Needless to say, this was an amazing experience. We will all be back next time we are in the area, and thanks again to Chris and Lynn for the amazing time.
