Once we got the invoice, we checked the cost of parts, estimated a reasonable hourly tech charge and came up with a cost of 1,100 instead of the 3,100 charged. Attempts to negotiate were unsucessful. After posting the above, management called and we successfully agreed on the work requirements, tech hourly charge and parts pricing. Management took 40% off the original invoice, and we were pleased with the outome.

I am a local, and while their expertise and reliability make them a little pricier, one visit from someone else just to give me an estimate on a boiler service, that left me with no heat or hot water during the single digit nights, then wouldn't return my call to undo whatever the guy did, makes the cost of better service worth it. Paul from Ben Franklin knows my wacko high efficiency system and all of its issues when others have just scratched their heads. They are awesome! We stated working with them when they replaced our previous boiler and hot water tank. Andy (the owner) did phenomenal work on this, and our new system has worked perfectly for years now. Additionally, they've fixed a handful of plumbing problems, again without issue. Most recently, they installed wifi thermostats for us on common makers, a tricky install that allows old two-wire systems to host powered digital thermostats. The new thermostats were buggy and kept shorting out, but Andy and his team were tireless in their efforts to troubleshoot the problem multiple times until they identified the problem and found a solution, all while honoring their original installation at no extra charge. Their rates are also reasonable and fair. I can't recommend Ridgeline Mechanical enough.

I called for a simple routine maintenance check on my working furnace & when the guy was done, first it sounded like a jet engine in my house, it started going on & off. Stay away from this company or you'll find yourself with a bad outcome. Update- they came & took apart the furnace & said they would order the part. After a week of calling with no return calls they finally answered the phone on Friday& said they weren't ordering the part. They wasted 2 weeks of my time besides breaking my furnace during a routine service call. Stay away from using this company for anything- very disreputable!!!!
