I have mixed feelings about this organization as some was good and some was bad. Pros: wasn't overly crowded, abundance of parking and friendly staff. Trails/slopes were well maintained. Cons: frustrating as I was trying to teach someone to ski on the bunny slopes the magic carpet kept shutting down repeatedly for 5-10 minutes at a time and it was already at a crawling pace. Basically it takes forever to get to the top of a hill using this method. So you better have a lot of patience. The ski lifts didn't have safety bars to secure you from falling out. I think the worst thing was the rental locker room where it's a complete free-for-all !!!! Talk about chaotic. Basically everyone has to find their own ski boots and there is very little room to move around and try them on, making it extremely annoying. I didn't see very many seated areas out side for those who need to take a break. The main large area was very outdated in the bathrooms needed a complete overhaul. Standing water everywhere you look. So, be very cautious. But, all and all it not for from home, staff is friendly and slopes seem reluctantly kept up. read more

The slopes might not be the largest but the maintenance and effort of the owner is noticeable, and the lodge is a cozy place where you can relax, have a drink and enjoy good food, the staff and snow patrol reps are magnificent. Snow trails was sooo much fun. My husband and I got some promo tickets from here during an auction. The tickets included a group lesson, rentals, and all day ski lift. I wound up paying for two more tickets for my kids so we could all go skiing for the first time. We showed up a bit late but were still able to get the group lesson and more than enough skiing time. I tapped out not long after the lesson but the kids had a blast on the bunny hill they have several good options and a bar deli called Lands End. We wound up eating at the bar for lunch, American food, not bad not good, just fine and prices are decent. Overall it was a fun experience and we will definitely be going back this winter. read more

Showed up for the first run of the day. Place was nice and the even had a fire going. Lines were manageable and dodnt have to wait long to go down the hill. The little snack shack was nice and had some good item to munch on. Next time we will bring our own and post up at one of the tables. With this being our first time we didn't know but seems like alot of veterans being their own snacks and grab tables. We will be back but not sure we can make it this year. read more

This local gem an hour south of Cleveland is fun independent ski area. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Nice lodge with plenty of lockers & cubbies for your stuff. Nice cafeteria & pub. A nice variety of terrain with a really nice terrain park for boarders & those who like aerial fun. The runs were nicely groomed and they had plenty of snow. Quite the crowd for a Monday. Brought our kids tubing for the first time and we absolutely LOVED it!! Snow Trails is one of the few tubing hills that has no height restriction and allows all ages. My daughter is 3 and while taller than most her age, is not yet 48 inches (average requirement for tubing hills). Snow Trails has adult and child size tubes. My daughter fit perfectly in the child size tube. We had no issues going down the hill with our kids. We were able to hold onto their tubes and at no point was I nervous that I would lose hold of their tube. We always felt safe. We definitely went fast though! The ride down is exhilarating! I would definitely come back! It was also quite affordable, $128 for 4 people for 2 hours of tubing. I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

We really enjoyed the lessons and the instruction. The teacher was nice and helpful and encouraging. The place itself isn't like the Colorado resorts, but for being in Ohio it is great! It's expensive but so is every other skiing place. We ate at the restaurant there and the food was decent bar food. read more

Okay, I took my family to the sledding hills on snow trails this past February as a birthday gift for my son. Now I say this, full-well knowing that this review is going to sound as mollycoddled milquetoast as I can sound, but that being said, I want to illustrate to other parents who wish to take their children here that it is a tad bit DANGEROUS. Okay, YES. Many of you are now scolding me for condemning a sledding hill as dangerous as this is entirely the point. Many of you might assume I am a helicopter parent who has never allowed my children to walk outside of the house with a helmet on. However, I can tell you that I have raced cars and jumped out of airplanes in my life! I just feel that this sledding hill is a wee dangerous for little ones. First of all, the hill is rock hard ice. It is not snow at all and each sledder hurdles themselves down this ice slalom on an inner tube, reaching speeds of 40 mph while holding onto nothing more than the rubber handles on an inflatable while possessing no helmet whatsoever. I never gasped when skydiving in my life, but this sledding hill really took the air out of my lungs. I kept thinking "All it takes is for the correct mismatch of weight and lack of friction and a major catastrophe is imminent." Of course, it happened three times during my two hour visit. I witnessed three small children clotheslined or harpooned and catapulted into tears. Not surprising, an entire crew of Paramedics had to service these children. Now, you might assume that this would warrant a One Star Rating. However, this thrill might be EXACTLY what you're looking for. Thus, I rated this a two-star merely for the parents who are unknowingly leading their children to this car crash. Sorry to Snow Trails for this ridiculous post, but I wish someone had warned me before I spent the money read more

Great day hitting the slopes!! It was my first time at Snow trails and we got season passes for this year. When we walked in, Scott greeted us and said he was a host on the property and asked if he can show us around. We got our passes and he took us on a tour of the lodge and helped us with our rentals. He was really helpful and made for a great first impression! They have a beginner bunny hill and a larger bunny. There are many different runs to choose from. The staff was all very nice and helpful. We stopped in Joes Cafeteria and had a burger too. It was delicious!!! I can't wait for this season! read more

We love Snow Trails, especially if you're new to skiing. The atmosphere in the lodge, quality of the hills and flow of lines getting on lifts is the best in my opinion. We drive 2 hours from Dayton, even with 2 other ski resorts closer to home. We ate lunch inside the lodge upstairs, where it is a sit down restaurant, at 11:30am so beat any crowds and felt very safe. Glad we maybe spent a bit more to avoid cafeteria style. I have been trying for 3 seasons now to go tubing with my family. Ever since they made it so that you have to schedule in advance we are not able to schedule. This season, I have been on EVERY morning (no exaggeration!) to try to schedule as I do not know when they put out the next month but nothing is open. My entire family has gift cards to use up and I feel they are a complete waste of money. We might as well throw them in the trash as we will never get to use them. We have tried calling in to get more information but the staff are very rude and refuse to help. You raise the prices, which is fine, we can afford it but the fact that we cant even schedule is ridiculous. At this point I will never refer anyone to Snow Trails and until something is changed, I will make sure everyone knows this insane policy and to not waste their time or money. read more

This was my first time at Snow Trails, the conditions weren't the best so I'm sure the slopes are better when there are better conditions which was honestly my biggest complaint. The lifts do seem small and there isn't much room for getting on the lifts. It's nice that you can get your lift passes and rentals in one spot rather than have to walk somewhere else to pick up rental equipment. The lodge is awesome and has great ambiance. I haven't had any food or drink from the lodge or really spent a ton of time here but I look forward to coming back and getting to know the place better. read more

Would recommend NEVER scheduling with snow trails !!! first experience ever and it was terrible. In summary, I scheduled 2 days beforehand as required. Perfect day lots of snow. By the time of our scheduling, my car was not going to be able to make the drive from home. I called to see what I could do and was sent to request form to reschedule (great!!!). I chose three dates and received a reply email today stating I didn't give them a two days notice for canceling!!!!??? Yet the associate on the phone knew the booking was for the day spoken of and did not tell me this!!! I'm livid. My booking was over $100 and no refund is being issued . With COVID-19, I wasn't sure how this place was running their business; however, I believe I liked it better how it is ran now than it was before, which is hard to do. Went Friday evening tubing. I don't know how the skiing is but the tube park is a great value with a super friendly staff. I will begin by saying that I am not from Ohio originally. I am from California and I grew up skiing Vail, CO every February with my extended family. Spoiled, right? Anyway, my husband and I moved out here about a year and a half ago and a few weeks back we found out that we could ski right here in Central Ohio. Being the outdoor adventure folk we are, we could not pass up an opportunity to go skiing an hour from our house!! We never had that luxury in California! Snow Trails is awesome. We had so much fun! There aren't many runs and you can see clear to both ends of the park from anywhere on the mountain, but it's a blast. Now, I cannot fairly compare Snow Trails to Vail. The Snow Trails black diamonds were comparable to Vail's blue squares, and Snow Trails' blues are comparable to Vail's green run. But that's OK! Snow Trails keeps their mountain face beautifully groomed, there are six(?) lifts which means little to no wait time on any given one, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We rented our equipment, and the process was quick and painless. They have some decently high end gear, and for us casual (though fairly skilled / experienced) skiers it was perfect. We also hit the lodge for lunch, and though it was crowed, they catered to my vegan needs, which wins them mucho brownie points! The hubby and I are definitely looking forward to hitting Snow Trails again. What a way to get out of the daily grid in CBus and feel like you are on a winter vacation! read more

If you're looking for a friend, go to the slopes. If you're looking for a brother, come to the bar. Evan makes you feel like you're at home, and will make you the finest drinks in town. The service from the bar crew is out of this world, definitely the employees that can turn a bad night around. The slopes aren't too bad either, slightly weak. 12/10 recommend Evan, 7/10 recommend the slopes. Danielle (AKA Sassy Pants) is pretty tight too. She'll light a mother fucker up. Since Clearfork closed, Snow Trails gets 5 stars by default. Where else are you going to ski? Of the two, I preferred Clearfork because it was less crowded with bratty little kids. I'm on the fence about giving this 4 stars. I like Snow Trails, It's where I got started. And if you are looking for a hill to really learn the basics, its a fantastic hill. But, that's just what it is, a hill. There really aren't any amazing paths, its like a open hillside with snow. Not a whole lot of challenge, unless you go to the terrain section. The Lodge is really what sells it for me. They have a nice fireplace that seems to always be crowded, a nice bar, and tons of places to sit. I guess I just like lots of different paths on my trails, and I don't feel like Snow trails provides that for me. But like I said there are plenty of other reasons to find yourself here. read more

Ok....I know we don't have mountains here in Ohio, but it's a GREAT place for beginners and I can get my fix every weekend, as it's only an hour away from Columbus. The staff at Snowtrails (from the bartenders in the lodge, to the lift operators, instructors, etc) are as friendly as can be! Oh...and Justin (a snowboard instructor) is the absolute BEST!!! He's super patient and had me riding like a pro (ok..pro is a bit of an exaggeration!) in no time at all. They also have a fabulous kids ski program (Cricketots and Cricketeers) the staff is friendly, accomodating and wonderful! I can't say enough great things about Snowtrails!! read more

I took my kids here for an evening of snow tubing. We all had a great time, we went during one of their glow tube evening sessions. Even though it did get a little crowded, it was all well managed and smooth. The staff at the top of the hill was great, giving push-offs and getting everyone linked up to go down together. The hill is nice and long and some lanes are very fast. Easy uphill with a moving carpet style lift. A little pricey at $25 a head, but we went on a premium night. I would definitely recommend, great fun only 1 hr from Columbus. read more

Loved snow trails but were extremely disappointed in the staff today. We went snow tubing... go to the top ( morning so they were still slow) and all the instructors were messing with a drill and a water bottle ( I'm not sure what they were doing drilling it into the snow for fun?) instead of pushing anyone down the hill. I get they are younger workers but we paid a nice chunk of money to be there. We were already nervous about sending our kids down. They took their main run, to build big ramps on half the main hill, seriously limiting ski-able terrain. No one was using this jump - except young kids who can barely ski. Most disappointing, in that they keep building more and more jumps - ruined the fun run under the Westwood chair. Very little wiggle room now - with folks crossing over from Alpine Run- If you want to ski that Westwood run, you are fighting for your life, it is so very narrow. Why so many terrain parks? Why so many jumps. Seems like half the area is terrain parks. read more
