There is good potential at this place, but it will still be at least another season before things are starting to come together. My biggest complaint is their snowmaking and grooming, which pales in comparison to their neighbors at snowtrails. Even with the addition of a massive fleet of TechnoAlpin fan guns this year, there was still sparse coverage on 2 of their main hills (off the double chair) after plenty of cold temp days. The groupon deals, and the lack of the crowds right now are both reasons why I would give them 4 stars. The staff was also generally happy, seemed like a "family run" kind of place. The potential lies in the terrain. They have a good glade run cut, and a natural snow trail that runs along a narrow ridge that is fun. If they cut more trails into the trees they would have a lot of variety fast. Watch out for icy sidewalks and parking lots for now. read more

Great Potential! This place will be a great little Ohio Ski Resort. Keep in mind, we dont have Mountains here , we have hills. New equipment is great but the food is horrible and only one lift open on Christmas break. Under new ownership and breaking ground for a ton of timeshares to be built in the next year I could only expect for this place to give you something fun to do in the middle of what the heck is there to do in Ohio! Will definitely be returning! My family and I stayed in the orchids loft last saturday, a two bedroom and two bathroom beautiful suite with an amazing view over the balcony! We also were a part of breakfast with Santa, which was an awesome time for the kids and adults! The food was amazing, and the staff was so friendly and made everyone feel at home! So much hospitality! Lets not forgot about the tube hill! With very little snow we still had a blast! Must try! And not heavy on the wallet! read more

I went because of a cheap deal through Travel Zoo...I wouldn't pay full price to go here. They had one lift running with 'excellent' conditions, so I did the same hill over and over for two hours and got bored and left. The other hill I could've hiked to looked like I'd have to take my board off at the bottom and walk to the lift so I opted to not try it (if I were a more advanced boarder this may have not been a problem). Next time I drive an hour to ski in Ohio I'll be going to Mad River or Snow Trails. I would consider this place to teach a beginner since it seemed less crowded than other places.
