LOVE the specialty matcha lattes, the atmosphere, service and everything! They open the campstore to the public and the campground is also fun to stay at. Their apple fall carmel matcha was so good with the cold foam...even better! Perfect place to wind down, relax and enjoy nature.

I had an amazing glamping experience during the springtime and was fortunate that the weather was great this time of year. I went with a large group and we split up between two large campsites. The campsites are a long walk from the parking lot/gatehouse but they provide wagons to wheel your gear over. Each site has a fireplace. The washhouse has around seven bathrooms on one side, showers on the other, and large sinks in the front for dishwashing. There are also camping chairs and tables to grab available at the washhouse. The facilities are incredibly clean and each bathroom is quite spacious. The ofuro spa was another highlight of the trip. I recommend changing into your bathing suit before you get to the ofuro spa as there are only three shower/changing rooms. It's also recommended to go back to the washhouse to shower so you don't have to wait for a shower in the ofuro to free up. The showers there do provide shampoo but there are no hairdryers. There's the ofuro spa, a sauna, and cold plunge located in the facility. They provided small towels as well. The camp store has seating area inside and outside, a cafe, and small store for supplies. I personally tried the chai latte and specialty matcha- the chai was my favorite. Overall, it was an incredible glamping experience and I would certainly come back again.

We went from glamping to camping in a matter of minutes. Def wouldn't recommend camping as much during the wet season unless you're using the boujee snow peak equipment/cabin. Facilities were spotless, workers were helpful in setting up equipment and the spa was refreshing. Only complaint is that they gotta enforce reservations time for the spa cause it was mad crowded when we booked our slot for 8 and there was only supposed to be 12 people max per hour. Sh*t was more crowded than the EDC bathroom lines. Def a nice weekend getaway to the coast if you upset the girlie

The park is clean, there is a laundry and bathroom/shower facility, as well as a soda machine. Close to town and the beach. I couldn't be happier with my choice of a place to stay. Also VERY dog friendly, which is a huge plus for me. I love dogs and my dog loves everybody here, and everyone is so nice to him.

You're close to the ocean, surrounded by trees, and there's this constant sense of spaciousness that lets your mind open up. It creates the perfect conditions for artists to think, feel, and make work. What makes Arts Week truly special, though, is the people. The group of artists is diverse, thoughtful, and deeply engaged. You're in conversation all day long, whether that's over shared meals, spontaneous collaborations, or late night talks that somehow become the most meaningful part of the experience. It's rare to find a space where people show up this open and this willing to connect. The programming strikes a great balance. There's structure when you want it, like readings, performances, and workshops, but also plenty of unstructured time to follow your own creative instincts. There's also a real sense of care built into the week. The staff and organizers are thoughtful and attentive, and you can feel that they want everyone there to succeed!

My husband and I drove by the Sou'wester over a year ago when we were visiting Seaview for a day…read moretrip. We thought it looked like a fun place to stay considering we love all things vintage and staying in a vintage RV sounded like the kind of nostalgia we would appreciate. A few months pass and we decided to book a 3 night trip for our 12th wedding anniversary. We arrived on Saturday afternoon right at check in and we found the staff friendly and attentive. After check in we drove down to our camp site. They leave the doors unlocked after check out/"cleaning" so the key was sitting in the unit. This also means anyone can come into your unit before you even check in. The outside of the RV was, as expected, worn down but that's a part of the charm. Upon entering, we were hit with the smell of mildew/mold and a extremely warm trailer due to the heater being left on and it being late June. We turned off the heater and attempted to open up the windows, but alas they were'nt all fuctioning. Our 3 dogs couldnt even be in the unit without over heating so we set up their playpen outside. Half the flooring was either peeling up or gone all together. The walls had'nt been cleaned and had a film on them. The seating area did'nt fold down into additional bedding (another broken item), the toilet was dirty and still had urine on it and the bathroon walls were peeling. We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel but for the price we were paying per night we expected more. We settled in for the evening and tried to make the most of it and chalk it up to a new experience. The next day, after waking up and taking the dogs for a walk to the beach we decided to relax at the campsite and decided we could set up out tent (other camp sites had tents on them) to add additional living space. As we were lying out the tent in our area a woman approached us. She didn't introduce herself just started making comments about the tent, and the dogs, and the playpen. Again, no introduction, no pleasantries, just came in HOT. My husband tried to deescalate the conversation however the woman kept interrupting him and talking over him. He reached out his hand to introduce himself and thats when she finally paused and offered her name, Mary. She let us know if we wanted to put up a tent we would need to pay an additional $35.00. We explained to her we weren't expecting additional guests and that the tent was meerely for additional outdoor space. Again, she was coming in hot like we were trying to pull a fast one over on her. I explained that no where was I told tents were additional. I was not paying them any additional money due to the price we already paid and the comfort of the unit. Mary contiously spoke to my husband ignoring me all together. She was telling him what to do and how to do it and she came off extremely aggressive. We said we would speak to management and that's when Mary let us know she was the manager but was off duty so we could take it up with another manager. My husband is a POC and Mary presented as white and while the lodging advertised itself as diverse and inclusive we did not have that experience with Mary. My husband asked Mary for some space and it took asking several repeated times for her to finally leave. After she left, we decided this was not a place for us to stay. My husband started packing and I went to let reception know what had happened and that we were checking out. The staff at reception was very accommodating. I told them what had happened and they were confused as to why a tent would be such an issue with Mary. They tried offering additional things for us to stay and I refused. They asked if I wanted to speak to Mary again, and I said no. I did not want to speak to her ever again. The staff said they would talk it over with a manager but I let them know we were definitely leaving. We drove the 2 hours home. On our anniversary with cancelled dinner reservations and hurt in our hearts. Do better. Understand how you come across as a person of privilege when speaking down to a POC. I hope this is a learning experience for Mary. I checked my email today and she refunded our entire amount.

This place is not good: the caretakers live on site and are miserly rednecks who will blame you for…read moretheir mistakes. And the facilities suck if you're tent camping. We checked in and had to cough up a $50 cash deposit for a group site. It was in direct sun with no trees, which is deceptive on their campground map. It was full on sun, so we asked if a nearby shaded campsite was available during our stay before we set up camp. The older lady, who seemed somewhat mixed up, told me our group could use a nearby shaded site during the entirety of our stay. Another camper would arrive at the adjacent site on our last night, so "No problem," according to her. We could use the shady site; just expect a neighbor on our last night. We were fine with that and were grateful for the shade. Well that wasn't the case: While we were out of cell phone range for the day, she calls and says we must break camp immediately and move back to our sunny group site with no shade. We had to move 3 tents, kids, and lots of camping equipment quickly before the next customers arrived in the shady spot. The reason? The old lady mixed up the campsite numbers and didn't want to admit her mistake. She forgot that the shady site we were allowed to use was actually already booked. When I asked why we had to move suddenly, she said, "That's not what I told you!" which was a lie to make her look good in front of her crotchety husband. Then she said she was "doing us a kind favor "by offering a shaded site, and that we needed to go immediately to the group site, in the full sun. Her husband became angry at my question and yelled, "Then just get out now!!!" in a very mean way. I told them we'd kindly move back to the group site but I just wanted to know why things changed so suddenly. What a jerk the caretakers are! they both made us feel like crap for their own mistakes and mix-up. Facilities here are sub-par, lacking effort and craftsmanship. Everything's been built on the cheap: Showers only run for 5 min before you have to put 3 more quarters in. And no: you can't load it with 6 quarters for 10 min.; only 3 quarters go in at a time. You have to step out from the shower into the common area (naked) to put 3 more quarters in for your next 5 min. The shower changing area is too small , and there's a family campsite directly behind the bathrooms, so you can hear children playing while you're in there. Cheap faucets and fixtures. Probably a bad septic system too, because you have to hold down the flusher for quite a while. Toilets don't flush strongly and there are no locks on stall doors. The water source for tent campers is too far away and and there's a gross "sink" to do dishes in up near the bathrooms. We had a portable toilet near the group site, which was cleaner and more convenient than the actual bathrooms and sinks were. Overall, stay away from this place and these people who run it. There are better people to give your money to for some decent facilities. I'll never stay here again and hope to never see the caretakers again!
