Last minute trip to the beach. We have a new walker just under 1 and a 4 year old. Our spot was next to the pool. Concreted area; kept us and the trailer clean. It was in the low 60's but the pool was still great, used both days we were there. For a RV place it was nice and had trees in some spots. The spots are close together. About 5' of grass btw each spot. There are some spots with large grass areas, I imagine those are the premium spots. Reservations are best made by calling and leaving a message. Annie is very nice and a great host while there. Beach walk isn't too long, hose off area back at camp entrance. read more

Too much to list. RV sites is way outdated and not for current RVs, especially towing vehicles. Staff is lazy and rude. Be careful of the weed stickers. We have been going to Pacific Holiday for around 8 years now and have never had a bad experience! We have a large group with most staying 10 days. Annie does her best to accommodate us so we can all camp in the same general area. The campground is always clean, including the pool area, restrooms, showers and laundry room. My extended family, friends, and I have been going to Pacific Holiday RV Resort for many years. Annie, the manager of the park, is most accommodating. The park is neat and clean and the laundry room is spotless!. It is a short walk from the park to the beach or a short drive to Cranberry Approach if you want to drive on the beach. The park is very pet friendly but please clean up after dog. I highly recommend this RV park. read more

We stayed here a year ago and enjoyed this place. However, this year, we needed to pay an extra car fee of $2.22. Not a big deal at all and we were happy to comply...except their hours of operation did not work with our plans. We were here to help clean up the beaches and we started at 8:00AM and did not finish the day until after 5:00PM. During the day, I got harassing phone calls from the person who worked in the office demanding that she needed her $2.22!! I offered to have her put it on our card, but she wanted the cash. I explained it was not possible for us to drive all the way back just to give her $2.22. I even told her she could charge us $20.00, but she wanted the cash, insisting that we were "taking money out of her pocket"! I told her what time we would return, and she never showed up. She also had said we could pay in the morning. We go to the office and no one is there. A note says to go to Space 1 if you need help, and no one was there. There is no envelope drop or any way to leave money, so I open d the screen slider and left $5.22 for her. Then left a voicemail saying where I had left the money. There are PLENTY of RV parks in Long Beach and next year, when we return for the beach cleanup, we will be sure to stay somewhere else! Also, be aware that there are sticker plants in the grass, so be careful of your pets feet and your feet! read more

With fresh air, quiet, and the sound of waves crashing against the coastline, this park is a great destination to get away from it all! Birds, eagles, and some squirrels greet you every day here. Deer even roam through the park from time to time. The park's grounds are constantly in upkeep mode, so it's clean and well groomed any time for visitors. Its location on the peninsula is right in the middle of everything. Stores are short distances away in either direction, gas is right around the corner, in either direction, and Ilwaco is a short drive away for fish markets, picturesque views, and a walk back in time for that quaint feel. If you're into Rod Run, this park is constantly full during that time because it's directly in the middle of all the action! make sure to book well in advance because they fill up quickly here; even though there are many spaces available! Because the contract for cable in the park went through the roof on costs, if you've visited here in the past, or are thinking about coming for the first time, keep in mind the cable is gone. If you love clams, the Long Beach razor clams are to die for; they're huge and super meaty, and freely available to pluck right out of the sand just a short walk down the path. Check digging schedules before you go down there though! This is a really quiet and secluded park, so if you're wanting to get away from it all, this is the place! read more

This park is very safe, super clean and maintained by the managers (Ed and Annie) as if it was their own. I can't tell you how helpful they were in getting me, an RV newbie, set up correctly. Ed is a wealth of info and the friendliest guy you'd ever want to meet. When I had to leave for several days, I knew everything would be safe because Annie watches so closely. Big laundry area and machines that work well was a huge plus! I don't think you'll find a better spot on the peninsula! read more

We planned a family camping trip near the beach to just get away and relax so we chose the Long Beach location. We wanted to stay in cabins so this worked for us. I was told that my cabin was a studio and could sleep 6 adults. I personally disagree with this. When I arrived I felt this was a little small for 6 but a family of 4 maybe 5 and that would need to be with kids. The studio did NOT come with a stove. There was a microwave, sink, small refrigerator, table and a bathroom with a small shower. I guess this isn't really a complaint because it beats tent camping where your outside on the ground and walking to a public bathroom. There is ceiling fan and the cabin had 4 different windows that could also let air thru. There was a heater in the cabin as well. The Campsite was fairly full but it was clean and a quiet place to unwind. There was a couple fire pit areas, a small playground area where the kids played and a swimming pool that was actually open. I only stuck my foot in and the water and it was warm. I just preferred to spend my time at the beach that was within walking distance. I did not go into the playhouse but was told there's showers and a bathroom inside. It was about 8 to 10 minute drive to town which I loved being so close to everything. My biggest complaint is the cabins had picnic tables but there was some sort of equipment on them so we would not be able to eat outside on a table. I also didn't like being near the propane filling tank/station. I guess it has to be somewhere on the property right? Overall I'd recommend this place and I will be coming back to this location. read more

This spot is to tight, RV's on both side so you can't use your outdoor space, had to move BBQ out by the street so that the smoke wouldn't go in neighbors window. Plus laundry room was clean but why tell quest they can only use 2 washer at a time? It's a laundry mat, first come, first serve. No chairs out by pool, because you can catch COVID-19 from setting on-a chair, everything was closed because of COVID-19 but not the prices! Nice access to beach, for walking and a short distance from Canberry Rd for access to drive on the beach. Short trip to downtown and a fun 9 hole golf course. read more

I was hesitant with the reviews but our friends booked this place for the annual Rod run in September. The check in was easy, very nice people and the grounds itself are well maintained and has everything you need. There is an on site clubhouse, laundromat,showers and an outdoor pool. On Saturdays they do a nice breakfast. The beach is with short walking distance they the back of the grounds. The only downside is if you have a large trailer with numerous slides the slots are cozy. This was built before the times of the fancy motor homes but it works read more

I only gave this RV park one star because I couldn't give it less! Where to begin... First, Annie was extremely pleasant and helpful with a mistake on our dates. We were coming for our family reunion and she made the switch and was awesome. But that's where the pleasantness ended. We booked an RV site, a tent site and a cabin. The cabin was supposed to be pet friendly. When we arrived, the RV site was next to the cabin, but the tent site was WAY down the road... and there weren't any other campers in the tent sites closer to the RV sites. We went to the front desk and met a horrible employee, "a peon employee" in her own words. I never got her name in our numerous dealings, but she had tattoos on her arms, which I'm only bringing up to identify her. She refused to move our tent site closer, even though no one occupied the sites the entire time we were there. Next, the RV site was supposed to be able to have a tent on it, but there wasn't enough room for our 17' trailer and a tent. We weren't allowed to put it in the site right next to us, even though that was never occupied. So we ended up renting another cabin next to us and my three adult children stayed in it. The rude lady told me I would be responsible for any damage they did. I said that's fine. Then she said it again. I said I understand. The third time she said it, I told her that my three adult children were very well behaved and were not going to damage anything. The pet-friendly cabin in our row turned out not to be. When we asked about that, the rude lady told us there wasn't one available The one that was pet-friendly was next to us. I found out the person renting it was leaving the next day. She then proceeded to tell us that we'd "better not sneak the dogs in. The cleaning staff will know and red flag you." What does that even mean? I told her we wouldn't and then stood there for 5 minutes while she was speaking to the cleaning staff and I overheard that the person had checked out of that cabin, but the cleaning person was given the day off. We went down the next morning to ask about moving to the pet friendly cabin. We were told it was a different cabin, in another row, that was the only pet friendly cabin they had and it was occupied. I explained the situation and asked if there was a deposit we could pay and keep our two 6lb Yorkies in their enclosed kennel at night. I was told in a very rude manner, "Absolutely not! And you'd better not try to sneak them in!". I told her I thought it was extremely rude that she kept saying that to me. I asked if I could speak to the manager to explain the situation and she said "Ask to bend the rules?? Absolutely not!!". I thanked her and left. So our poor dogs had to sleep in their kennel in the back of our SUV, in the cold and rain. It was so miserable for us all that we left a day early. And what we can't figure out is how did three of us, in the two cabins, get flea bites when our dogs (who do not have them) weren't allowed inside? In addition to the pet fiasco, we were given a single roll of toilet paper, the futon wouldn't fold out, the ground was so hard you couldn't Lund stakes in for the tents, and the clubhouse was not even close to what their site promised. Our family (all 16 of us) will NEVER stay there again. I could not believe how unaccommodating that woman was. How a place can allow someone to work there, who clearly takes no pride in serving the guests and calls herself a "minimum wage peon", I don't understand. Being a small business owner in a tourist town, I know how important customer service is... and this is the worst RV park I've ever been to. read more

Whe have stayed her many times in the past but they recently changed their dog policy. They no longer allow dog cages and dont wha they you to tie them up either. And yet they have a dog area. So are you to keep them on a leash the hole time you are outside or just lock them in your trailer. So we will no longer be staying at any of the camp grounds this company owns. read more

Do not stay here. The rv park is reasonably maintained and attractive. However, the manager is not professional. We pulled in after hours, and pulled in as directed by the after-hours instructions. In the morning, we pulled out at 8:23am to pull up to the front office to pay and check out. The manager came running out furious. He demanded that I pull back to my spot and wait until 9am when his wife would open the office. He insisted that I was in the fire lane and MUST pull back to my spot and wait. I offered to pay him on the spot. He said he was the manager and his wife handled all of the financial transactions. He then pulled out his cell phone and threatened to call the police if I did not comply with his demand to return to my site until 9am. My wife and I were aghast at his demeanor. Don't stay here. The manager is troubled. We drove by other RV parks in the area. You will want to stay at one of them. read more

I was very hesitant to stay here with all the bad reviews... but it actually ended up being pretty pleasant. The people who work there, were nice when we came and that's about all we spoke to them. Which is fine. The trail to the water is not long, and is well maintained. It was perfect to take the dogs out to the beach. It is about 2 miles from town. So you do have to drive back and forth, but they have taxis and buses if you are drinking. The spots are very close to each other, but from what I could tell from looking at other rv spots, it's nothing different then all the rest. We would stay again read more

I agree this is more of an RV park than a comfortable place for tent campers. They have tent sites along one row with no shade, I think they would be better making it another row of RV parking. I wouldn't want to tent camp here. We had a tent trailer and were treated very nicely. We enjoyed the staff, they were helpful, fun to talk to and gave us some great information on where to go. In the evenings everyone was out and about talking like a nice community of people. ( we were there during the annual rod run in September) The park is within walking distance of the beach, they have a cleaning station for your catch and during summer I believe there is a nice option for a pancake breakfast ($5.) on the weekends. We will definitely be back next year!!! Best fishing ever! read more

RV spots are so close together we couldn't put our awning out, hookups are right next to picnics tables so when you sit at picnic tables the sewer hookups are next to them. Also horrible, horrible stickers everywhere in the grass, which are bad for our kids and our dogs. Don't plan to wear flip flops and plan to track these stickers back into your RV every time you go in grassy area. On a positive note the trails to the beach were nice. read more

About the only positives about this place is beach access and a small but clean pool.... the lady that runs this place is down right rude we payed for 2sites and we're told they were reserved (1rv and 1tent) the map we were given when we arrived showed both spots clearly marked across from each other, then another person started setting up when we went to the office to find out what happened we were informed you can't reserve a spot just a space ..... none of the tent sites have picnic tables and this "resort" doesn't even provide DNR approved fire pits in ANY sites ... when you go online to their website the pictures must be decades old because the spots are so close together you can't put an awning out without touching your neighbors RV, their "clubhouse" has video games that are shut off and a pool table that is locked down and not easily useable by anyone ... there is only 1 bathroom for use by everyone and is also the showers Do yourself a favor and skip this one the headache of dealing with the manager whom is short tempered and the non resort amenities ... isn't worth the beach access!!! read more

Place is virtually empty maybe 10 spots filled out of all of their. They wanted to charge me a fee for early check-in or I can go down to town and park there for 2 hours. We were just there and they were super rude from the beginning. We aren't married and gave them two last names when they asked at check in and the lady says, "What you don't know your own name? WTF...is that a way to greet your guests? They shut the pool down because they didn't want to keep up with the needles. The lady manager heard me call her lazy through the office window which I didn't realize was open. She came out fast and yelled at me saying it's not about being lazy. It can ruin the pool which she didn't explain prior. I simply said ok and left. I don't do confrontation and certainly not as a guest that paid $58 a night and an extra $20 for a tent per night on our own spot!! Ripoff! It's always windy there so why would you close the pool because of debris? My kids were disappointed. Then this morning at 7:30, they hurried to put a closed sign up for the restrooms, as they saw a few of us were headed to shower and to use the restroom, so they clean it. As we approached them the two men shout "nope, nope"! What kind of way is that to explain things? "It's in the rules" they said. The older kind lady explained they lost their housekeeper. So which is it? Rules or you are so rude your housekeeper quit? What miserable people. You can't make this stuff up! I guess they don't need customers after the COVID shutdown. read more

Decent enough park. Friendly folks in park, good pancake breakfast on Saturdays - mostly RV types. Not a national forest place; I wouldn't necessarily recommend this campground for tenters. Extremely close to beach, which is its best feature. Like most RV parks, very little privacy. We've been here 3 times, left early once several years ago due to a hillbilly family reunion next to us, when there were plenty of other spaces (35 or more). So, the caretakers/managers back then could be considered to be unreasonable. All spots are level, paved and well maintained. The hookups are in good shape, not worn out. read more

This park was absolutely terrible. Every old person here would look at grandchildren like they were the devil. We only met one nice family that had kids. The two workers here are lazy and close clubhouse and pool at 5 so that they don't have to do work later in the day. The customer service was not good at all and the workers would give answers like they were mad and didn't want you to be here. They try to act nice at first and then when your grandkids come out to play they get upset because there is noise. Like really let the kids have fun the only noise is the sound of the scooter on the asphalt. You have to walk up a hill and down one to get to the beach. The only thing I enjoyed in this park was nothing. This place is just a parking lot with hookups. I would give it 0 stars if I could. read more

Where to begin. This place is the worst! I am a member of a RV group that is supposed to camp for $10 each night. Although this park is in this system, they have added so many additional fees that it cost $100 more than it should have (210 instead of 110 for 11 nights.) No appologies, just an excuse that "corporate" was in charge. My husband was guided in by a guy in a golf cart. When I pulled our brand new car in behind he told me to follow him thru an empty spot a few spaces down and to park in front of our rig. I followed. He stopped and then began to back up. I yelled but not before he hit my car. When I say brand new, I mean less than 600 miles and not even my license plates! Again, no appology. Won't give me his name or insurance Co, told me to call corporate whose phone goes direct to voicemail. The reviews about small spaces are not exageration. Now, to punish us for pressing them for insurance info, he has parked our neighbors so close that we can't get the awning down again. The woman in the office wouldn't even speak to me, just wrote the phone number for corporate. Pathetic that they won't take responsibility for their mistake! The guy keeps blaming my hybrid car for being too quiet. I guess if you're driving a golf cart you don't have to look behind you when backing up, just listen for a diesel engine... read more

Whoah, where to begin. Terrible value. RV spots are so close together that if an RV has a slide out you can barely walk between them. Staff is cranky and there are more rules than alkatraz. Prices are incredibly high, especially considering what you get. Super noisy. Tent sites are nearly non-existent and the ones they do have are also really really crowded. The only really nice part is the easy path over to the beach. If you have no other choice - this place may be OK, but otherwise - find somewhere else. At the prices you pay here it should be way way nicer - and the staff is super cranky here which makes it much less enjoyable than it should be. The bathrooms were clean but all the way at one end. Wifi doesn't work at the half of the park closest to the beach. The electric boxes are janky (makes me nervous plugging in - be sure to have a good surge protector if you have an expensive rig). read more

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE A DOG. The place is infested with goats head weed. Not a huge issue if that was the only issue, but their designated 'pet area' for dogs has the worst infestation. I was camped right next to the pet area. Dogs take a few steps then freeze, afraid to take another step. Owners have to pick up their dogs, carry them out of the pet area, then pluck out the thorny barbs from the dog's feet. My dog has about 6 barbs in each paw after just a couple steps. When I told the lady at the front desk she says, "Yes, you're right. Don't walk your dog over there. I wouldn't walk my dog anywhere in the park except one small patch of grass by the front entry." But they won't put up warning signs or proactively warn patrons and we saw dozens of dogs suffering over next several days. Not a dog friendly place at all. read more

This is an RV resort for RV's. And, by RV's I mean 3+ axle fifth wheels and tour buses. They have quite a bit of property laid out for tents but with pathetically little else; no shade trees, fire rings (two community rings for the whole park) or even picnic tables (one each for all the RV hookup sites, however). Tenters must even walk up to 50 yards to the club house at the head of the resort for water. I was treated with open disdain (a lowly tent trailer) evidenced by a reprimand for wanting to face my camper east instead of west and my wife receiving a rebuke for bringing our dog into the club house while mealy walking by the building with the pup in her arms! The attitude of the management was somewhat understandable given the fact that the resort is owned by a large corporation based in Arizona (NOT owner operated) and so staff is mostly concerned for their own hassle-free work day, not with customer service. More evidence of this; bathroom closure at 9:00 AM for cleaning as about a half dozen tenters line up to get in for their morning shower! It was pretty clear that the target customer was the baby boomer retirees all shut up in air-conditioned mobile homes watching their 50 inch plasmas, conveniently out of the hair of the management. The final insult was the forbidding of campfires. Management insisted there was a burn ban on and refused to even allow charcoal barbecues. I stopped in at the local fire station and was assured by the chief that the ban was on open yard refuse fires; dry firewood campfires and barbecues where fine to have. I even stopped by other resorts to find that guests where happily enjoying campfires. When presented with this info the resort management refused to talk with the fire department and only responded "well, they're breaking the law" when told about other resorts. The resort is wonderfully clean (although with many signs informing guests of do's and don'ts), is only steps away from a beautiful beach (with lots of folks enjoying campfires), has a nice small pool and a playground with swing set. RV road warriors will really enjoy this resort; the rest of us "campers" should look elsewhere. read more

The park is outdated for today's RVs (not a lot of room for slide outs or any other camping gear you may bring). The park manager that I had to deal with was rude and unaccommodating. Our reservation was made and confirmed, but the manager failed to honor it and appeared to be creating "park rules" the more we dealt with her. Please do not use this park if you have dogs or small children. Please do not use this park if you expect to get treated decently by staff. Our weekend was nearly ruined by these people. We paid for a tent to be in our Rv site. The tent brought by my son in law was larger than their specified size but we put it up anyway because we made sure it didn't encroach on anyone's space. We were told it would be ok.......next staff person says NOPE take it down!!!!!! Our friends were on one side, other side empty but no. She told us we could pay for the Rv site and put it their, she was VERY rude. It put 4 adults, two small children and two large dogs in a 29 ft Rv........fun??? No!!!! Next evening, extremely scary brush fire, had to evacuate children while campers had a bucket brigade and rallied to connect Rv hoses to put it out. Fire department came out. Not once were campers reassured about their safety for the coming evening. How about opening the kitchen for coffee and donuts the next morning for a thanks to the people who put themselves in danger? After the excitement went to take my grandson to the pool.......it closes at 6:30????? Really people???? Took him back after nine the next morning( time it opened). NOPE....... chemicals had just been out in and they were cleaning bathrooms.......people were trying to leave, lined up at the bathrooms. Thoroughly disappointed in this place....disgusted actually!!!! read more

The good: It was a spot to stay with hookups. The bad: very small spots, back hookup location, not level, sticker plants everywhere that get in dog and people feet. But most of all extremely rude office person and manager. We asked if we could stay past check out time and were told yes with a $5/hour fee. So we left to go on with our day and got a call about 45 minutes after check out (over 2 hours after asking to stay later) saying they needed us to move out of our spot - we were out sightseeing, planned our day after speaking with the office to arrange the later check out. We said we asked about this, this morning and arranged with you, they became very defensive and aggressive, no apology, nothing. We asked to speak with manager, again very defensive and refused so we ask that the manager be there when we got back and we would come and move. Manager is equally as defensive and saying "well she's new" still no real apology. All of this and more than 2/3rds of the park was empty. We will NOT be staying here again. There is no excuse to be rude, a mistake is a mistake we were very respectful and there was just no reason for it. read more
