The website for this place is very deceiving. It looks like a gorgeous park online. The path to the beach sounds like an easy trek. It isn't really. The spot you're going to park your RV is gravel, but the steps to your right are going to be in sand. Your rig will be filled with it. And if it rains? You've really got a mess on your hands. This place is basically a sand lot. And the guy that leads you to your spot doesn't need to give you directions on which way to turn your wheels. If people need help getting their rig in, they will ask. Find some place else to stay if you're looking for a nice, neat area. It's a quiet park and the dogs loved the walks on the beach. read more

I've been camping for 40 years and I've never had an unprofessional encounter such as the one I had with you. You lack professionalism, social skills and the ability to hold a conversation with someone who does not agree with you. You were so angry and out of control, I seriously thought you were gonna throw hands. This place is dirty, the staff and their lack of willingness to assist with very minor requests, water spigot broke, water everywhere. You guys couldn't have cared less. Your rig is parked on gravel but your front yard opens up a sand pit. No way to avoid tracking tons of sand in your RV. Can't imagine who thought that was a good idea. WIFI is non existent, good luck connecting. Having visitors is a nightmare. read more

Beware! WiFi streaming is advertised, however the longest I could stay connected was less than four minutes. Owner told me that I wasn't in the city and don't know anything about internet in the boondocks!‍ she blamed Spectrum which was completely ridiculous. Absolutely no interest in trying anything to better the connection, which was obviously caused by her router and access points. The spaces are so small that your mini picnic table is next to the neighbors sewer dump. We had a friend try to visit and he was turned away. Park rules state "visitors not allowed". read more

This is my first YELP review. That tells you a lot. Atrocious customer service! READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM! We visited this place in the spring. We were coming from the Canadian border and it is very difficult to judge traffic. We left in plenty of time under normal circumstances. Unfortunately, we ran into issues on I5 and I called and left messages and emails to continually update them. No response. We pulled in around 10pm exhausted. I knocked on the office and was "greeted" by a very upset man. I apologized and told them of our circumstances and our repeated attempts to contact them. He said he would "allow" us to come in but wouldn't allow us to enter our prepaid spot because he didn't want to disturb the other campers. I was totally fine with that because of course I didn't want to disturb anyone. So we pulled up and boondocked for the night (no electricity or septic). Even though we paid for their premium site (there is only two). Imagine my surprise when we woke up and saw that 1. There was only 1 other camper on the 50 plus sites available clear at the opposite side of the "parking lot" style grounds. 2. We were literally 30 feet from a full hook-up site on the other end that he could have put us in for the night. Oh well. I bit my tongue and at 11am we moved into our paid for site. We were one of three people the whole time we were there. No issues the rest of the time. Being that we were wanting to come down for the Rod Run a few months away and it very difficult to find a place that late in the year I went against my better judgment and rebooked with them. (MY BAD!!)I had a HUGE lapse in judgment! So not wanting to arrive late and knowing it was going to be a very busy weekend we left our home at 4:45 am! We got there around 11am. Super happy to have had no issues on the way down with traffic. I went into the office and told them we are here to check in. She said, "Great, Go have lunch and come back at one to check in. I asked if we could check in early and was told no. I was a little frustrated because we can't just drive our motorhome and tow around and go have lunch. The roads are packed with people and cars! I asked if we could park the MH (lots of space to do that up by the office) and come back to check in. Nope! That's when I said, "You have horrible customer service. Travelers are coming across the state and it's hard to judge arrivals. You also refuse to answer any phone calls or emails which again is horrible!" I didn't yell. Did not cuss. Just told her I was very unhappy with their policies and they were very unfriendly. That's when she told me "I will take care of that!" I asked her what she meant and she said "I am canceling your reservation and refunding your money." Normally I would be fine with that because I have no desire to give them my service. But! We just traveled over 6 hours.", nothing is available during ROD RUN and we have NO where to stay. She knew this. I BEGGED her to change her mind. "It's fine. I'll deal with it. We will come back." I said. Nope she smirked and refused to allow us to stay. She walked pass me and went to get the information off our vehicle. I was aghast. All this simply for saying I disagreed with their policies! So I told her I was calling the police. Oh she went ballistic and while I was on the phone was screaming across the parking lot and even the cop could hear her. Needless to say "it's private property" and the cop just advised us to leave. We did. We went to Lighthouse resort where my daughter was staying and explained what happened. They felt horrible and immediately two of their staff got in their phones and found one campground with full hook ups and one spot left! Imagine our surprise (NOT!) when we found out we were the second to show up there because they also were kicked out of Anderson's too! This is all a power trip for them. She stated that other places don't allow early arrivals. That is NOT the case! Lighthouse and Chautauqua BOTH allowed early arrivals! And those are motels with rooms not a PARKING space. Save yourself a major headache and don't go there. read more

I have stayed in cottage B and the studio...both are very comfortable! I love the king bed in the studio, and that the bedroom is dark. The patio is awesome to just lounge, get a sneak peek of the ocean, and enjoy the propane fire. Cottage B is great as it has two bedrooms, and a nice porches on the front and back of the house. Both have great kitchens to prepare meals, if you prefer. Easy access to the beach, laundry on site, and the hosts/owners are very friendly and very helpful! Each place was very clean, quiet at night, and check in was a breeze. I will be returning. Thank you Miles, Katharine, and to your camp hosts for everything! I had a great time! read more

Poor customer response. I made a reservation for a multi day stay for June in February. After a couple of days our itinerary changed and I needed to cancel. The confirmation email from Andersens says to replay to that email with the words "Cancel" in the subject line. I did that. No response. I repeated the process multiple times over a week. No response. I called them. Got a prerecorded message saying to email the cancellation. I left a message with reservation number and my phone number. No response. Based on their extraordinarily poor customer service, I'd recommend going somewhere else. PS: they were very prompt in charging my credit card for the entire stay! read more

Yes the spaces are smaller than at a state campground, but there's a strip of sand behind each space for a fire pit and picnic table that overlooks open space! Really close distance to the beach which makes it easy for those quiet morning walks and letting the puppy burn off energy for a great start of the day of adventure in beautiful Long Beach! read more

My husband and I pulled into this park to pu our parents and take them to dinner when a lady came storming out of the office so I stopped and she asked what we were doing so we told her and she immediately got angry and said we needed a pass and that our parents knew that. I said I was sorry and would let them know and then she said we would have to have them walk up there and I couldnt pick them up and I said they are 80 years old and your gonna make them walk up here? The lady proceeded to point her finger in my face yelling YOU, YOU, I get bad vibes from you. This was the strangest, rudest experience I have ever had. read more

We like staying in this park and it's our "go to" park when we visit Longbeach but there have been small changes which we don't like. The picnic tables that were new a few years ago are now falling apart and need to be replaced. We were very disappointed that the restrooms are permanently closed. Andersons seems not as friendly and accommodating as years past. read more

Friendly staff . Very small sites and no privacy . However the beach is amazing they have great cleared pathways to access it . Very clean . Play area for children . Dog friendly . We have so enjoyed our stay here.Truely quiet peaceful and so easy to walk and enjoy the beach!! My only request as a dog owner would be a place to dispose of the pup droppings on our way off the beach at the trailhead. That would be convenient!! We really enjoyed our stay here and found the owners to be very warm and friendly. This resort is very close to the beach and although you cannot see it, the beach is a 2-3 min.walk over the grassy dune from your camper. This RV park is very clean and feels safe and secure with a gated entrance. The views from your camper are of green grassy fields and some pine trees which was nice. The hook ups all worked perfectly and the Wi Fi reception was excellent . We were early in the season so had allot of peace & quiet. It is the best looking RV park at Long Beach and we looked a few of them before deciding on this one. I recommend this park and would certainly return next time we are in Long Beach. I wish there were more stars to give Anderson's!  Amazing location with a private path and short walk to the beach. Sites are so well maintained and clean.  LOVE all the common sense rules which keep everything in order and run amazingly smooth in every way.  The hosts greet you as they state at the stop sign and take you to your spot, help you maneuver in, give you your pass and everything you need to know about how to have the best time there.   A city bus even stops out in front of the resort on an hourly schedule to take you to and from Long Beach proper if you don't have a tow behind.   Completely professional, top tier and so helpful and friendly are the owners.  We will definitely come back again and again and thank them for making our stay perfect. read more

What a disappointment. I don't recommend coming here if you enjoy spending time outside at your site. First, there is no room. (And, I knew the spots were essentially a parking lot. You can see that from Google earth - but if you haven't looked yet, you should do so before booking.) Second, they don't allow anything outside at your site besides maybe a chair. Third, their cheap dilapidated picnic table takes up half the available room anyway. The price is 3x what the place is worth. There is truly nothing special about this place - only thing that makes it better than a Walmart parking lot is FHU. Packed in like sardines, there's a lot of dust (not sand) due to the crappy gravel, the "dog park" is a small chicken wired sandbox, parking is terrible, they don't allow any visitors for any reason (even drop offs?), their rule list is long online - no problem, cuz I can read and agree to it before booking, but then they hand you a sheet of paper with rules on it when you get here and it's different from the rules online, including more rules. Do NOT come here if you're looking to relax and have fun, especially if you have dogs. We will definitely never come back here - & there are much nicer places to stay in the area - for less $ too! Also, no one ever answers the phone. Ever. It's a recording and voicemail system only. Everything must be done by email, which is just poor customer service imo. Email can be a great tool, but it's not a great replacement for professional and timely conversation with a current guest. It is extremely disappointing to deal with such inflexible and unprofessional management. read more

It's all good! Yes there are times and yes you have to walk a bit to get to water ( ocean) what did you expect!!!! It was nice, clean, good staff and yes the man drives around and keeps an eye on things. You want some one to rob you? Well I don't and I appreciate his security. Internet doesn't work in all Long Beach well, so it is what it is. I enjoyed myself, I'd come back, yes I paid $10, for a burn pit. In CA you can't burn at all anywhere. This RV Park will nickel and dime you! Make sure to read ALL the rules posted on the website before coming to be aware of just the beginning. If you ask any questions in regards to the rules she is rude and has a "my way or the highway" attitude. * A camping spot price only includes 2 people - meaning if you have children or even other family staying in your camper you have to pay $5 extra per person per day. So if you have a family of 4 you have to pay for your kids to basically be there with you. * $5 for an additional car per day * If you have visitors (even for 5 minutes!) you must pay $5 per person to walk on their precious soil. Each day that your visitor shows up you must pay another $5 for them. * Fire pits are not included that's of course another $10 charge * WiFi is okay but you're reminded to use no more than 2 devices and don't use it for anything useful like streaming video or music. These hosts straight told my aunt that they do not like kids! And considering our group (who brought in quite a bit of money to the campground) brought lots of children since the RV Park had beach access. The host said "We don't like having children in here, they always cause a lot of problems" of course after we had booked and paid for our spots. God forbid if you take a shower in the gross bathrooms (the men's had feces smeared on the toilet) you are reminded not to take a shower longer than 5 minutes! Attached are pictures of where we had to park in spots that were right by the road and smushed together like sardines. We were originally given spots number 31 and 32 on our registration paperwork but the hosts decided to move since they likely double booked our nicer spots closer to the beach. All in all, I would never stay here again and would give them 0 stars if at all possible. read more

No. Just freaking no. This place is TERRIBLE! Here are all the reasons why this place bites. 1. The WiFi is bullsh**t they give you the WiFi password.... but it tells you that he password isn't correct... i stayed here for 3 nights and didn't get to use the WiFi once! The WiFi password is 1Happycamper... if should most obviously be 1pissedoffcAmper 2. This place nickel and dimes you so hard. $165 for 3 nights.... $30 for a RENTED FIRE PIT...$5 for the chanciest bundle of wood you've ever seen, $1 a night for a dog, but the biggest rip off is $5 a night for my 1 year old. We literally had a $70 bill at check in, after I had already paid $165. 3. The spots are very small and squeezed together... they are separated by bark .... if you step anywhere on the grass around your trailer you will step on prickly weeds that's HURT LIKE A MOTHER !!! If you have kids- this place is a terrible choice! 4. If you were tricked into thinking this place has a view of the beach or it's super close to the beach- than you're a sucker.... it's a long walk to the beach through hills and dunes .... again if your have kids this isn't the place for you. 5. Let's go back to the rented fire pit- I've never in my whole life ever been to a campground where the $60+ fee doesn't come with a damn fire pit! I just genuinely feel like the owners of this place laughs at all their campers while wiping their ass with out $5 and $10 bills. 6. You have to rent the fire pit, but they don't tell you that they sneakily close their store at 5 pm on a sat and if they are closed you CANNOT buy overpriced firewood from them. 7. The lady at the front is not friendly, she lacks LARGE in the customer service department, and when you offer any type of criticism you will be barked back with " if you don't like it- leave. 8.they claim to be SUPER DOG FRIENDLY ... but my poor dog couldn't handle the sticker bushes all over the grass... he had to spend the whole weekend in the gravel.... if my dog could talk, she would have said this place sucks 9.This place is a terrible place, only come here if you want to get yelled at, and get nipple berry stingers into your bare feet in the grass.... I'll do you a solid and answer the question "should I stay here?" The answer is fuck no! read more

Do not reserve at Andersen RV. You can not talk to anyone by phone because it goes directly to a recorded voicemail and their mailbox is full so you cant leave a message and they do not respond for several days via email. This is the worst customer service I've experienced through an RV Park. I was trying to cancel a reservation and because I couldn't get a hold of them they kept 55.00 to cancel. I am considering reporting them to Better Business Bureau for their unethical business practices. Don't give them your money - stay away!!!!! I will never consider this place again! read more

Extremely disappointed. Last year we had a very good experience. This year was completely opposite. We had reserved it a year ago for the spot closest to the beach where our door opened to the beach... however when we showed up were told we in fact did not... then later the lady brought it up again saying she double checked and we had not but the group who had were regulars... I truly believe they changed our reservation giving our preferred spot to a larger group.. and to top it off- the trailer that was supposed to be in the spot we wanted never showed up- they cancelled but we were not told so could not change. It sat empty the entire weekend! Then my sister, her husband and 2 5 year olds came, Parker just to walk to the beach with us- she drives a mini and it fit fine in our spot... yet had to pay $5 each of them- $20 total for them to be there... And... we couldn't be out of our trailer in the "grass" because there were thorns covering the grass. Our 3 month puppy got tons in his feet... We have stayed at this park several times under the previous ownership. It was a good base for clam digging. We made reservations on their site for Sunday through Tuesday nights. Our account was charged for a site but we never received a confirmation. We attempted to reserve an additional night but were unable to contact anyone. We had no confirmation number so we were unable to amend our reservation online as instructed by their phone message. We were unable to reach anyone by phone and they would not respond to emails. When we checked in, we asked the parking assistant about the best way to make contact and he said email. We advised no one responds to emails. He said the owner, Milt, was on site and he would tell him of our concerns so he could come visit with us. He never appeared. The park itself had sand pits where our stairs landed which meant sand was tracked into our RV, previously there was gravel. The clam cleaning station was disgusting. There were feces on the floor and counter. The stainless steel sinks were rusted and appeared never to have been cleaned. The bathrooms were locked so we couldn't even wash our hands after cleaning our clams. We do not recommend this park and will not return. There are many other choices on the peninsula so we don't need to return to this park. read more

We are hot rodders and we have stayed here a few times during the rod run we never have cared for the gravel, close sights, long walk to the smallest bathroom stalls in history but we dont stay at camp sight much but they have gotton very expensive and there booking has gotten kind of a hassle, But with that said with reservations made this year for the rod run witch is canceled when i went to cancel they still charged $121 for nothing. Every other cancelation we made due to covid we were charged nothing, i can see maybe the $25.00 for paper work Well you know we are done here and we intend to do alot of free advertising. read more

Ocean front NOT ocean view. We had space 54, absolutely the best in the park. It was one of two spots at the end, closest to the beach, which is about a three minute easy walk away. Unfortunately, there is no ocean view, rather there are dunes and sea grass as far as you can see. The dunes were beautiful, but I wish we could have been able to see the ocean. For $70 ($63 + tax) per night, I expected to see the surf. I did like that our space had no neighbors on two sides. It was annoying that the park host insisted on "helping" us into our site. We have a small RV and manage just fine. With the help of the park host, we ended up crooked in the site. No biggy, but worth mentioning in case that kind of thing bugs you too. There is no cable, but many channels came through with just the antenna. They claim to offer unlimited wifi and the host encouraged us to stream movies. We tried and couldn't play a Netflix program without constant service interruptions. This wouldn't bug me if they hadn't said they have great wifi for streaming. If we hadn't upgraded to one of the front sites, I think we would have left. The spaces are little more than parking spots with a rectangle of bark dust and a tiny picnic table. The neighboring site's connections are literally IN your campsite - right next to the picnic tables. Also, if you want to have a fire, you have to rent a fire pit - I think that's an extra $10 per night. The fire pit comes with the two more expensive ocean front sites. The park is clean, though as not well kept as it could be. There is a neat garden area that has potential to be beautiful with some care. Overall, I'm not sure we will be back - and we def wouldn't come back if the front sites were unavailable. read more

First, let's start by saying it's a parking lot with hook-ups. You cannot see the ocean. You walk over dunes to get to the beach. I found it weird that you have to pay $10 for a fire pit, in addition to it being probably the furthest RV Park from the main action (kite festival, sand sculptures, etc), including ice cream parlors and restaurants in town, and the most expensive park. The only thing special I found with this park, is that it has a fish cleaning station. One reviewer mentioned "the forest." It's at the front of the park that maybe 3 RVs can park in front of, and really isn't deep. Another review said it was gated; not that I saw! I just didn't think there was anything special about it, and gave it 2 stars because it's the highest priced RV Park on the island and then you have to pay for fire pit, where other places include it. read more

It's true that there isn't a lot of privacy and that the site are close together, however you are RIGHT next to the beach. So if you want room to spread out go down to the beach that is practically deserted! We could hear the waves crash from our rig. The sites are gravel and the main road into the camp sites is very wide for easy maneuvering. They have people who can help you park your rig as well. There were reports of wildlife seen including an eagle and an elk in the dunes -- even a bear. But we didn't see any personally. :( This place was very nice. The bathrooms were very clean. The staff were warm, friendly and full of helpful suggestions. I did not notice any problems with sewer smell. We asked as per other reviews not to be placed in site #2 and the person at the office told us that they had been converting to a new sewer system so there should be no smell anymore. Free cable TV and wifi too! When we drove around town I was able to see the other RV parks in the area and they are VERY VERY SKETCHY. If you are in the area THIS is THE ONE and only place to stay. The other RV parks in the area look like the tweaker RV parks you see on "Cops". You have been warned. I would give it 5 stars if the spaces were wider and we had a little more privacy. read more

This was our second stay and both were enjoyable. This RV park is very well managed, has clean, well maintained sites and best of all, direct walking access to the beach. There is also a wonderful bike and walking path (Lewis and Clark Discovery Trail) that parallels the beach, running about eight and a half miles from town to the Ilwaco Port. It is a beautiful, serene ride through vast grass lands and into deep wooded areas. It is not to be missed. I wish the RV park was a little closer to town. It's about four miles from downtown, making it a bit uncomfortable to share the small two lane road with cars. read more

In a total tourist economy a business must work to bring back repeat business and work with the locals for support as well. When a local does all they can to help the business you would think that the business would appreciate the gesture and be ethical and reasonable in how they treat you. These folks are far from ethnical and don't have a clue how to treat guests so they will come back...which is important to the whole area and other local business. It is unbelievable that they wanted to charge me $10 to just come in to see my kids and grand kids who were staying there. I live in Long Beach and could have had the kids park their RV in my driveway but I want to support local business but I have to pay $10 to see my kids....REALLY!
