It had been more than a week and it wasn't clearing up on its own. I could have gone to urgent care but I preferred to see a specialist. I called the front desk and the receptionist, Jenna, was super compassionate about my situation. The soonest I could be seen was two days out, so I booked the appointment anyway. Jenna assured me that I would be called in case there is a cancellation before then that could be filled. Sure enough, not even 10 minutes later I get a call back that there was a cancellation and that I could come in half an hour later. Dr. Olsen was able to diagnose my condition very quickly and was very attentive to my concerns and questions. I was out of the examination room within 15 minutes and never felt rushed. My great experience was largely due to luck, but everyone made the experience all the more flawless despite my diagnosis. I am so happy that I trusted Aspen Mountain Dermatology with my needs!

At the suggestion of a friend, we scheduled appointments at DermaSpa for them. When scheduling, I told them that my youngest seems to be bravest and so we took an AM appt for her and then a PM appt for my oldest. 1st appointment was pretty flawless and we left with smiles! In the afternoon, we dealt with a lot more tears and anxiousness. Kristi was SO patient, kind, and reassuring and we eventually got both ears done and she is just as happy. This is completely untrue since I never received a phone call or voicemail message or letter in the mail. The ONLY communication from them regarding this was the letter saying I've been referred to their collection agency. Bend Dermatology charged me a $3.70 collection fee and I had to pay the collection agency $2.50 to pay the balance (which was $23.18) via credit card (checks are free) so I paid $6.20 more than the balance due to these shenanigans. Save yourself the inconvenience and incompetence of this business and look elsewhere. I should have looked at Yelp before making an appointment with Bend Dermatology as the low ratings (that are well earned) would have caused me to go somewhere else. BTW, my PCP referred me to Bend Dermatology so the next time I see her, I'll let her know that this is a disservice to her patients.

I usually am very nervous when meeting dr but for some reason I was relaxed. Dr came in shortly and he too had taken the time to know why I was there, he took a look, was very good at explaining the problem and the solution. I am incredibly frustrated by a recent experience I had with Juniper Dermatology and Dr. Pivik's…read moreoffice. I had several age/sun spots treated with cryotherapy and was told that if any of the spots had not fully resolved after a month, I could come back for a touch-up at no additional charge. About a month later, I returned for a skin check and mentioned that several of the treated spots were still visible--in fact, they were darker than before the original procedure. Dr. Pivik performed the touch-ups during that visit. When I later received a bill for the second procedure, I called the office because it was not what I had been told to expect. The office manager told me that Dr. Pivik recalled telling me that only one spot would be touched up at no charge and that I agreed to pay for the additional spots. That conversation never happened. Had I been told there would be a $248 charge, I would not have agreed to the additional treatment. Instead, I would have reminded them that I had been told the follow-up touch-up would be complimentary if the initial treatment wasn't successful. After I disputed the charge, the office agreed to reduce it by half, leaving me responsible for $124. While I appreciate the partial adjustment, that's not really the issue. I'm disappointed that I was charged based on a conversation that never occurred and frustrated that the office did not honor what I was originally told. The experience left me feeling misled and has significantly diminished my trust in the practice.

I went to Bend Dermatology several years ago for acne on the back of my neck. I ask the female…read moredermatologist what on earth was causing it. Her crude response was "How is your hygiene?"....When I found a more professional doctor she correctly diagnosed the outbreak as a result of being prescribed testosterone which is well known to cause acne. Fast forward a few years. Today I had an appointment at 3 PM. They tell you to come early because their time is more important than yours.... I was taken into the waiting room and the "Doctor" showed up at 3:40 PM. No apology, no explaination... This "The Doctor" ego is unprofessional and rude.
