Our dog Millie has been walked by Citizens Hound for almost 5years, and I can't recommend them…read morehighly enough. Millie is a senior dog now with several health challenges and allergies, and the crew has taken the absolute best care of her. They've genuinely become our extended family. The owner David welcomed her into his family when we were traveling -- she had the absolute best time playing with his little kids. Chris (and Olivia!) have been extended family to us too, helping with walks when we needed the most, and Millie is so excited every time she sees them. Kayla and Wes are the sweetest. Millie had a medical emergency when we were travelling and Wes promptly took her to emergency room and making sure she got the treatment she needed. Millie wags her tail whenever she is picked up. We've had a few different walkers over the last few years and have never been disappointed -- CH always made sure to put Millie in a pack that was the best fit for her needs. Our neighbors have stopped us so many times just to ask who our walker is, because Millie looks so happy walking with them. Booking and cancellation is also so easy through their app, and management is super responsive. I'd trust them with my fur baby with my eyes closed, we're sad to leave CH as we move to another city. We will miss this crew so much!

Every dog walker and employee is exceptional, treating our dog as their own. Special shout out to the amazing Wes (our first walker), Alex our interim and finally Grace (gonna miss your beautiful face and great commentary on the daily recaps). Hopefully with little Niko leaving it frees up a spot for some other lucky dog to have the best experience. Love you guys, forever thankful.

The entire team is AMAZING. They're consistently on time, incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and absolutely hilarious. The pictures, jokes, and stories they send throughout the day regularly have me falling off my chair laughing. Asher is a bit of an older gentleman, and they're so attentive to his individual needs, whether that means taking it easy on hot days or making sure he's socializing with other well-behaved pups in their carefully curated playgroups. And if you need proof of just how much these people love their dogs, when Asher was sick and spent a few days in the dog hospital, the entire Sniff crew sent him a get-well-soon gift. I can't even express how much that meant to me. I also travel often for work, and knowing Asher has a second home at Camp Sniff with Heather and her family takes an enormous mental load off my plate. The pictures of him adventuring around Fort Funston, hanging with his dog friends, and generally living his best life are priceless. They keep me completely updated on how he's doing, including immediately flagging anything that seems even slightly off. I never have to wonder whether he's safe, happy, or being loved. Asher is beside himself with excitement every time one of his walkers comes through the door and absolutely LOVES going to stay with Heather. It's an extraordinary feeling to know your dog isn't just safe and well cared for, but genuinely, deeply loved. That's what Sniff gives me every single day. I adore these humans and cannot recommend them highly enough. Five stars doesn't even begin to cover it!

Sniff played such a huge role in bringing out the best in our timid little rescue and making her into a confident, happy girl who loves to see her canine pals coming. Thank you for all that you do, Team Sniff!

This might sound a little unconventional, but I…read morejust hosted a 10th birthday party for my dog here after he went through a really intense health journey last year so this milestone meant everything to my family and I. From the very beginning, the process was incredibly smooth. Reaching out through their website and coordinating the booking for a non-hosted event was so easy, and the communication was clear, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The space itself was absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for to celebrate with close friends and family. Everything came together seamlessly, which made the day even more special and stress-free. I catered food and brought my own decor and it was an easy set up and takedown. I'm so grateful to the team at Top Dog SF for helping make this meaningful celebration possible. I would 100% book here again. Thank you so much!

As brand-new dog parents, we had no idea where to start, and Mike not only trained Donut every day, but also coached us on how to reinforce training at-home. The daily training videos they sent were incredibly helpful and made it easy to repeat everything on our own. Donut is now more confident, relaxed, and well-mannered - we're honestly so impressed and so proud of how far he's come. And the best part? He LOVES going to school. He happily trots through the door every day, which tells us everything we need to know about how well he's cared for. The whole staff has been nothing short of amazing: so patient, kind, and truly invested in every dog. Donut was especially loved by Mike, Michelle, and Raina, and we're so grateful for each of them. Natalie, the owner, is also an absolute pleasure to work with and runs a fantastic program. Yes, this program is an investment, but it is worth every penny! We could not recommend Top Dog SF more. If you're on the fence, do it. Your dog (and you!) will be better for it.

I have two high energy pit mixes whose leash reactivity had gotten worse in the past half year, and it had reached a point where it was unmanageable because they would start barking and lunging at other dogs even from a healthy distance. I met with a few trainers to get a sense of their methods and styles, and Ceslie felt like the best match because of how she took the extra time to know my dogs and understand their behavior before recommending a plan, compared to others who jumped into training without asking many questions. There was a noticeable difference in how my dogs responded to Ceslie after their first class. She was thoughtful in customizing a plan that fit their needs, from teaching proper corrections to reinforcing obedience to providing the right equipment. She also taught me how to be a better handler (something often overlooked in training!), and it's truly strengthened my relationship with my pups. We had weekly sessions over the course of a month and there has been significant improvement in my dogs' behavior. Walks are stress-free and enjoyable again because we're able to bypass other dogs without issues, their door etiquette has improved, and we're now slowly working on their separation anxiety (slow and steady process but we're making progress!). Ceslie has been incredibly supportive and responsive through it all and I'm very grateful for her guidance with what I thought was a hopeless situation. I'm now considering sending the pups to her daycare program!

It was a hard decision to send my sweet boy away for any amount of time, let alone 2 weeks. As difficult a decision it was, it ended up being the best decision I have ever made for him. Leo went from missing out on excursions because of my anxiety around his reactivity to walking Lake Merritt during peak hours every single day since he's been home. I can't thank Justin and Erin enough for their hard work and dedication to making Leo a much more confident dog. I can't recommend their services enough. Just do it: call for your consultation and book the service. You will not regret it! I can't imagine using any other dog training/walking service while I live in the Bay Area.

I have only used DoggieWalks for dogsitting, so I can't speak to their walking services. My…read moreexperience has been in 2023. All but one of their reviews seem to be from several years ago, before the company changed ownership. It seems like this used to be a great company. Under the new ownership, it seems like a mismanaged company that can't be trusted -- at least for dogsitting. The dogsitter herself seems great and my two dogs really liked her. She watched my dogs at her place twice in 2023. The first time -- a short stay -- all seemed good. The second time -- a week and a half -- my dogs and all of their things (beds, leashes, toys, etc.) came back smelling disgustingly musty. It turned out that their beds were moldy! (They were not moldy before the dog sitting.) I had to bathe my dogs and wash their stuff twice to get the smell out. But I still had to throw out one of the dog beds because the mold would not come out. Luckily, my dogs haven't gotten sick from the mold (at least not yet). When I reported all this to the DoggieWalks administrator, her response was "not a problem." In addition, the billing and customer service leave a ton to be desired. Both times I used DoggieWalks, they tried to overcharge me. The first time, they sent me an invoice with an amount that made no sense. I wrote back to explain what I thought the total should be, based on their rates, and they wrote back to agree. They gave me instructions for paying by Venmo. It didn't seem like a big deal the first time. The second time, a few days went by and I had not received an invoice. I honestly wondered if they were delaying it because they were trying to figure out how much of a discount to give me due to the mold conditions. Nope -- several days after picking up my dogs, I got an email and a text from them asking me when I was going to pay the invoice that they had supposedly sent. Their email mentioned an amount but did not attach an invoice. I wrote back to say that I never got an invoice and I needed to see it before paying because the amount they mentioned seemed high. Later they emailed me not an invoice (which apparently didn't exist, despite their claims to have sent it to me), but screenshots from their system showing how much I owed. It was $120 less than the amount they had put in their email asking when I was going to pay! They didn't provide payment instructions, so I asked for them. The response was "Shoud be in your Venmo." What kind of customer service is that? Then they gave me a name that doesn't exist in Venmo (it's a person's name, not DoggieWalks). I had to write back for clarification before receiving the correct name to Venmo. The billing was finally straightened out, after 12 emails and texts back and forth, with no apologies, no explanations, no discounts offered. Use this company at your own risk...
