My complaint is not about their cleaning, but their business practice. I'm sure some wonderful people work there, and do their best.
I called one day to ask the price of laundering men's casual slacks (think Docker's), and men's shorts. The kind lady gave me both prices for laundering each and dry-cleaning each.
When I took them in THE NEXT DAY, a man was working at the desk (looked like an owner doing bookwork or a deposit) with a Braden's dry-cleaning van parked in front of the door. I assume common ownership.
The man wanted to charge considerably MORE than I was quoted the day before. I showed him on THEIR business card where I'd written down the quoted price to me THE DAY BEFORE. He insisted I was wrong, emphasizing I HAD MADE A MISTAKE.
It's possible the employee or rep I'd spoke with did make a mistake, and had he been respectful I'd have been understanding and paid the difference. . . . But (1) not only was he insistent that he would not honor the less-than 24-hour quote, BUT (2) he persisted in telling me I WAS WRONG stopping short of calling me stupid.
I've been in business for about 50 years. I've always treated EVERY CUSTOMER with respect and honor and never knowingly insulted them. I want them to come back again and again, and they have. I certainly wouldn't lose a customer over fifty cents! I've absorbed thousands of dollars in fifty years.
Consequently, I can't patronize Sno-White Cleaners. Beware of up-charging. read more
