This review is for SNIPES and let me be real with y'all... this is a mixed bag, but it needs to be said. Now, I'm big on customer service. Like BIG. Because to me, customer service is the experience. You can have the flyest store, the best sneakers, all of that -- but if the service is off, it will ruin everything. And being from El Barrio, I stay in my neighborhood. I shop here, I eat here, I spend my money here. So when I walk into a place, I expect a certain level of respect and service. My mom, my son, and I used to frequent this Snipes all the time, especially because it's right next to my nail salon. But I'm not gonna lie -- we've had some really bad experiences in there. Like attitude for no reason, rude interactions, people acting like helping you is a problem. And I don't play that. I've worked retail. I know what the job is. You leave whatever you're dealing with at the door and you show up for the customer. Period. There was one experience that really did it for me -- rude cashier, rude associate getting the sneakers, just bad energy all around. It got to the point where I told my mom, "I'm not even going back in there." And we didn't for a while. But the reason I'm even writing this review? Sirus. Sirus was a gem. Always. Every time we came in and he was there, it was a completely different experience. He would go the extra mile, help us find what we needed, make suggestions, actually engage. One time I needed my son sized, and another employee literally slid me the sizing tool instead of doing it -- like what? That is your job. Sirus stepped right in and handled it with no problem. That's what customer service looks like. He made the experience feel easy, comfortable, and honestly enjoyable. And that matters. We recently went back in, and you can tell the store has changed a bit -- layout, staff, all that. But unfortunately, the service is still very hit or miss. Nobody greeted us when we walked in. We're clearly looking for help, and employees are just... there. Not engaging, not assisting. There was a young lady folding clothes who saw us and said nothing. Another associate gave attitude when we asked for help. At one point, I just asked for Sirus -- that's how much of an impact he made. And that's when I found out he's no longer there. And honestly? That explains a lot. Now I will say, once I matched energy -- because yes, I will return the energy you give me -- things shifted a little. And of course, once it was time to make a purchase, attitudes started changing. Funny how that works. Look, I still go because I like what they carry. The sneakers, the clothing -- they have good stuff. But the customer service? It needs work. Badly. Because people will always remember how you made them feel, and a bad experience will stick way longer than a good one. Sirus set the standard. And if you never got to experience him, I'm sorry -- you missed out. I'm hoping one day I walk in and get that same level of service across the board, because I'd love to come back and update this review on a better note. But for now... it is what it is. read more

i made a snipes order for sneakers a hoodie and sweat pants. i never recieved the sweat pants. snipes refused to send me back the pants. snipes refused to return the money. all they gave me was $10 off next order. basically stealing money. never order online! read more

Tbh, we ran in here because it was very hot and humid in the city. But I do have kids (20 and 24), so browsed the racks. Son plays basketball and daughter practically lives in sweats. There's a lot of sports-oriented clothing. Prices are high-ish, but there are fun designs, and the quality seems good. Didn't interact with any of the staff. No one asked if we were looking for anything, or if we needed help. I thought that my daughter would like a fun pair of lace-up sweatpants, but she didn't. I like them, but don't actually wear sweatpants. So this was a bust, but it was fun to browse. And escape the heat. read more

Snipes is the kind of store I would return to in the future. As soon as I walked in the door a nice young man came up to welcome me. He had his mask on too. I told him I had been meaning to come inside after enjoying the beautiful building artwork. He said by all means enjoy myself and he would be there if I needed anything. It's a beautiful store with everything in its place. I saw lots of cool clothes and shoes. I did check the price on the Red Converse and some velvet pants. Both items were priced somewhat high to me. The draw string velvet pants were around $50! They are made in Turkey. The Converse were $60 but they may have gone up in price since I purchased my last pair. Bottom line is that I had a good experience. I will return for the converse next time I treat myself to something unnecessary. I like the variety in this store. There's so many adorable children's shoes too. I'm recommending you visit this location of Snipes in Spanish Harlem. read more

Because of SNIPES's paranoid policy of only letting you try on one shoe at a time -- the other is carefully guarded at the counter -- it is **basically impossible** to get the right fit. SNIPES must have a **terrible** problem with people suddenly bolting for the door in fresh shoes, dodging store security, right? Wrong. They do **not** have this problem. Certainly not to the extent of SNIPES's defeating the whole purpose of storefront retail. SNIPES management is to blame, not staff. Staff know what "SNIPES KNOWS" does not know: You cannot assume that most customers are brazen shoplifters. But if you enjoy being abused and treated like a suspect when you go to overpay for footwear, SNIPES is 4u. read more

Disgusting store. Purchased sneakers a day ago and refused to return my sneakers because they claimed the sneakers were worn, which is completely false. I was returning the sneakers a day later. I had my receipt and they denied me service. Horrible customer service and will call corporate. Do not come here for returns or any kind of service for that matter. read more

After visiting snipes in astoria I made a quick trip to El Barrio to the Snipes east Harlem location as they were holding a pair size 12 converse sneakers that is for my cuz. Big store and interior space is as well with men , ladies , kiddies , footware , sporty cool hip clothing , pro team caps , etc. Nice friendly staff who are helpful and patient as I notice a ball breaking gal customer unsure which running sneakers she should get until she finally picked a pair ( feel sorry for the dude stuck with her ). It's a cool place and the layout and display of stuff is perfect for someone browsing and looking for the latest pair of sneakers and sportswear. I got the sneakers, I got a pair of basketball shorts and now its back to astoria to grab a bite . read more

bought a pair of sneakers my daughter tried them on and hated them.i go to return them with the receipt from 2 days ago and the manager gina 1st states she can't refund the money as store just opened so she don't have moneuy in the draw...(um that's not my problem) then refused to take them back stating they were worm.they were not! my 14 year old hated them and wouldn't wear them. i will never buy anything from snipes ever! absolutely no management skills at all! worst service especially at holiday time... do better snipes!!!!! read more

This place really needs to train their employees better. I brought my son in to get fitted for shoes. The associate tells me he's a size 11...he's 12 months old (so he should be wearing around a 5). She was reading the foot measuring device backwards. When I said it's probably the numbers on the other side, she had to ask an associate to consult. She measured again, and was off by an inch (I took the scale and did it myself). I don't understand how you could possibly work in a shoe store and not know how to measure a foot. read more

Do not go to the location on 104 in 3rd Ave they are very rude!!! I drove from queens yesterday i arrive at 7:15 pm not only was the door lock the young lady in side told me were close in stuck her middle finger up @ me ! The store suppose to close @ 8pm !!! In the young lady was ugly!!! read more
