I have purchased shoes/boots on several occasions in the past. On my last visit, however, I had planned to buy a pair of boots. I came into the store to decide which boot after seeing my choices in person. Just when I was about to make my decision, someone who seemed to be a manager came over and AGGRESSIVELY indicated that the boots I was considering were going to sell out, so I'd better snap them up if I wanted a chance at them. I ended up leaving without spending my money at that location. I bought the boots, but elsewhere. I might possibly return in hopes of encountering the "right" staff member if I was in the area. As I stated in earlier reviews at another location: When there is a sale, the prices are less, but no one who buys docs expects them to be cheap. Regardless, the value has never been location dependent. If you are looking see docs in person, try them on and buy them, you can accomplish that here. As this location is in NJ, no taxes makes the purchases less expensive.

So maybe one has slightly more clothing than the other, but it doesn't much matter. This location is in Cross County (along with Foot Locker and a Kid's Foot Locker/Action). I only came in to return/exchange a pair of boots, but they didn't have my size. The lady who helped me was friendly. Another employee was ok. Pricing is generally on the higher end - but "brand" names for sneakers/boots are also pricey. If forced to even go to Cross County in the first place and forced to go into one of the "Foot" stores, this would be the better choice over it's nasty Foot Locker location. They may not have the exact same selections in some cases, but chances are you'll have a better experience in this location.

I only hit one start because I cannot leave the rating blank. They are actually negative five…read morestarts in my book. I purchased 2 tops and because they both were defective with rips, I went to store to return them less than 24 hours from when I bought them. Since I had looked at their merchandise the night before, there were no items my size that I liked to replace the ones I had bought. I was told they wouldn't refund my credit card. To make things worse, I never received the email receipt and was not told of their return policy which is store credit only. The young lady working there was extremely nice but could not give me refund even after discussing it with the store owner. I spoke with a very condescending owner who was extremely NOT customer friendly. I was very polite throughout the whole process. While I was outside the store speaking to my credit card company about this, the owner called the police on me and told them that I threatened to throw a brick through their window. I felt like a criminal. The store clerk verified to the police officer that I never made those threats and that all I wanted was a refund for ripped items I did not want. I now have to go to court to dispute something that I had no fault in. This is a HORRIBLE place to shop that is not customer friendly in any way. I hope the store clerk that was there finds a better place to work. I will NEVER shop there or any of their other stores again!!!
