The line moved quickly enough so that we didn't feel like we were in line a long time. There were four registers open this morning, two hours into operating hours. That's respectable, in my former retail worker opinion. Staff seemed cordial enough, some more enthusiastic than others but that could just be nerves, personality, circumstance, whatever. Also for those who inevitably will ask about the bathrooms: they are off limits to customers. Currently, only employees may use the restrooms. This is directly from a sales associate yesterday during their official grand opening. Thursday, they had a soft launch. So, plan accordingly and have a back up plan for other bathrooms that are usable in the area and clean. Lost one star for that because while I understand the reasoning, that's also terrible business strategy. You risk potential sales of a customer wants to buy something but would like the restroom first. Overall, I'm glad the store is here and I hope it continues to improve and stay in the great state it's in currently now.

I made a purchase from the website for a black size medium leather sleeve mesh top.  The store…read moreemailed me regarding substituting for a gold instead, which I did not receive as it was directed to my spam box.  On Friday 2/28, I received the top, which was a size small instead of a medium that I ordered, as well as gold instead of black.  I contacted the store via email and received no response.  I called an left a message in the am on 4/1, and received no response again.  4/1 pm, I sent yet another follow up email requesting a return label to send back the top.  I finally received a response saying that they emailed to inform me that the top was gold (not sure why you would send a different item without receiving a response first instead of just refunding when my purchase was out of stock.)  The seller also claims the site said the top was gold (of course that item is conveniently missing from the website at this point.)  Finally, the seller says, "We do not provide return labels.  However you can return the top and once it is received we will process your refund."  No mention of them sending the wrong size!  So let me get this straight, I have to make a special trip to stand in line at the post office (which we all know is never quick) with a screaming baby and a toddler after working all day, and pay the shipping, and hope that I get reimbursed as well as refunded?  Although it may not be something that you typically do, considering the massive error on your end, you should go out of your way to correct it!  I was hoping that I had found a reasonably priced online shopping resource for unique pieces but it appears as though I was mistaken.  I will continue shopping at neimans, Marciano, and saks where they understand good customer service!  Luxe Boutique won't get any more of my business!

I've repeatedly reached out by text and Instagram and received nothing but excuses and false assurances. Now they're not responding at all. What makes this even more disappointing is that I supported this Newark-based business through a business crawl organized by another minority woman-owned organization, specifically to uplift and invest in Newark businesses like this. But being minority- and woman-owned does not excuse taking someone's money, failing to deliver, and then ghosting your customer. I'm requesting a full refund and strongly recommend others think twice before ordering. Hopefully this review will get their attention.
