TEACH academy was bought by TiGi Academy just before the Covid 19 Pandemic , at this time I was attending TEACH , which would later assume the name TiGi. With that being said , I was excited when TiGi was taking over my school and was interested in the direction that things were heading. Until it actually happened. The school used to be a wonderful learning environment that actually focused on educating the individual. Students could learn at their own pace and make progress on their own terms , this ensured that every hairdresser that came out of The school was confident in their work. ALTHOUGH now , unfortunately under new ownership , this school finds itself more concerned with the number of students they "educate" and the speed at which they educate them, than with the education itself. Which I found compromising. Not only do the new owners see you as a paycheck , but they will do their absolute best to rush your education along , so they can take on another student( I.E another paycheck) Unfortunately what this creates , is a school that prioritizes turnover rate over the quality of education. So like me you will find yourself in a situation where the OWNERS of this hairdressing academy are quite literally telling you to "fake it till you make it" in regards to cutting somebody else's hair.... Instead of providing you with the tools needed to understand and learn. Imagine expressing that you are not understanding something , then being told to just do it and fake it till you make it. The school itself is stunning , and a wonderfully ornate mask to cover what is actually just a money grab. These people will teach you about social media and faking it, They will teach you about the business aspect of things very well , because that's what they are running . A business , not a school. You are expected to learn at the pace of the class , and if you fall behind then oh well. Whilst this review should be taken as a reflection of the Academy itself and it's owners, I do not wish for this review to reflect on some of the other educators that really do their best within the bounds of their job. Like Jen and Charlie. Hopefully this review helps you in deciding wether or not this is a place you would like to do business with. I would also like to make it perfectly clear , that my previous review of this establishment was result of the owners pressuring the students into leaving them a review.
