Came in today for a Balayage. I called this morning and they fit me in with Ange at 2:00. I got a cut, balayage, glaze, and blowout for $170! Ange was also nice enough to take before and after pictures and send them to me. I'll be going in a month or two to get it even lighter! This only took about two hours, too. I started coming to Jobella a couple months ago after reading mostly positive reviews about the salon. I called ahead and explained that I have naturally dark hair but was already a full blonde for almost a full year prior to my first appointment at Jobella. My end goal was to be the silver grey color but I know that was difficult to achieve to i settlers for an Ash blonde. I called ahead and they set me up with Ang for the same day. Upon arriving we discussed my expectations and the first appointment went well but my roots were still uneven. I scheduled a second appointment and was not completely satisfied with the results because my roots were still a copper orange color. Extremely uneven. I still went ahead and had a third appointment with Ang and left with extremely brassy multi color hair. I told her I just wanted it to be even, all one color! After she finished blow drying I was not happy and pointed out how uneven the roots were so she tried to fix it. I left feeling like she was just very inexperienced and should not have told me she was able to do something when that wasn't the case. The following day I reached out to the owner Maura by e-mail. I explained the situation and sent her a picture. Her reply was to use a different method of coloring my hair in addition she stated it could take multiple more sessions up to a year! She offered to call me to discuss the issue in which I left my number and didn't hear anything back. I again e-mailed Maura two more times which she said she would call me....Three weeks later and another e-mail she finally called. That's extremely unprofessional and the conversation we had was far from nice. Maura was going on how it's hard to go from dark to blonde and have it be even. She didn't even know I was already a blonde going into her salon. Her tone was very nasty saying I should have reached out to her immediately which I did the following day sent pictures and my phone number and she never called ! Also two more times and still no call. She never offered to remedy the hair and I asked for a refund she said absolutely not. Apparently this is a business that doesn't care if the customer receives a service they were promised. This is just a sub par salon with stylists who just wash and dry each others hair during business hours and have low standards for customer service. Plus the overall salon is outdated and needs a thorough cleaning. The windows are dirty, floors are dusty, and towels are stained. Don't waste your time or money at this salon. After working my way through a dozen so-called stylists from a dozen different salons, I found Jobella Salon. Now I've had tattooed hipster girls massage my head and give me a pho-hawk (Soho). I've had Lisa Loeb look alikes get me drunk on wine and give me a nice "Chandler Bing" (Euphoria). I've even had Italianite Motorcycle Rebels (Adesso Moda) style my hair into the "Bay City Rollers" haircut. But alas...those days are behind me. My (favorite) stylist Lauren is the BEST! I haven't had a bad haircut since she started taking care of my locks. She takes the time to understand the look I'm trying to achieve and provides me with feedback. I have never felt so uncomfortable that I actually had to fake an emergency and leave. Angie has no clue as to what she is doing and it showed . I wanted a haircut and low lights and high lights and she just didn't seem confident or understand what I wanted. I just moved to the area and I rather drive an hour to my old place than go back here. I've never been to hair dressing school so why would a hair dresser not listen to what I want and ask ridiculous questions? When was the last time I got a haircut? Why would it matter I'm here now taking up my time for good service and I'm showing you how short I want it. I explained serval times how dark I wanted the base color to be and how light I wanted highlights . My old hairdresser just knew what to do and gave me suggestions and took charge and was confident and a true artist. Very unprofessional and inexperienced. read more

I love it here. Let it be said that 1st of all I live in NY and travel to Ct every 5 weeks to get my color done. I have dark brown (almost black hair) and wanted and Ombre that transitioned from red to blonde. It took a creative and daring soul to attempt this and she made it look GLORIOUS!!! I love this place! I am very thin fine hair so need to be careful when coloring highlighting. They use all natural products W/ NO chemicals or other junk that destroys your hair. I see Cindy she's fantastic! I haven't been in a while but I have to get there! As far as price I'm from Long Island New York so to me it's like what I pay down there and it's so worth it! I was home visiting my boyfriend's family for a wedding and needed an up-do the day of. After calling around, I made an appointment at JoBella with Ang. She looked at the different styles I was considering, and basically did a combination of two of them. I told her my hair is thick and would fall easily, so she used extra bobby pins and hair spray, which I was happy with. I got plenty of compliments on the up-do and it stayed up for 10+ hours. This salon is very unprofessional. When you do the online appointment booking it takes forever for a response. The salon itself isn't all that.....very outdated. There are too many better quality salons then Jobella. Don't waste your time or money read more

I just moved to the area and was sent a coupon for a free cut in the mail from JoBella. I figured it couldn't hurt after the hack job my previous haircut was, and went today to give them a shot. I was scheduled the same day with Lauren, and when I arrived I was greeted warmly by her and barely waited a moment. I was happy to see they used Aveda products, which my hair responds well to, and (I think) smell amazing. My experience was PERFECT. Lauren was friendly and knowledgeable, immediately understanding what I wanted from my style and giving me lots of great tips for my problem (extremely fine and oily) hair. She was precise in the cut, attentive to detail during the blow out, and the end result was superb. I left ecstatic and immediately texted a photo to all my girlfriends, who agreed it's the best cut I've ever had. It's so good it's making me rethink growing out my hair! read more

I have been going here since I moved to CT and think the staff is great. Lauren is so nice and wonderful. I am someone who actually dislikes getting their hair done, but Lauren makes it pleasant. She always offers to get you a beverage and remembers what you talked about previously. She has a great eye for color and her haircuts turn out so well. I had ang she was so sweet and very perceptive she went with something a little different than I had planned highlights instead of dying my hair darker to match my roots and I love it ! I have been going here for a few years now. I have red hair and it is hard to find someone who can do reds well. Maura does them wonderfully. Her haircuts are also excellent. I have also had Jessica and Lauren do my hair - and they are great too. It's a clean, friendly place to be and their prices are very fair. For a long time I would get my hair done by a wonderful place in Chicago when I was in there visiting my son and family---for almost twice the money, and have it "make do" in between. Now I not only save money and am just as happy, but have more time to play withmy grandsons when there! read more
