Duffy Electric left our home out of compliance and in a potentially dangerous and unsafe condition…read morefor 2 years by not working to resolve failed multiple inspections.  We hired Duffy Electric in Jan 2024 for a rather large residential job ( $10K job). The contract agreement stated clearly that the job would include (parts, labor and all inspections) . Deposits were given and it was agreed that the remaining amount on the contract would be paid after the all inspection has been completed. We paid the full agreed amount thinking that the house was in full compliance. 2 years later (while selling the property) we found that Duffy Electric had failed inspections not only once but twice. The title search brought to light these failed inspections and instead of the company working diligently to correct the issue and apologizing for the oversight, they continued to stall and delay the work that needed to be done. Ultimately, through my own efforts, I was able to coordinate an inspection and the work was corrected and it passed inspection. Because the corrective measures took a while, this postponed the sale of the house and I lost thousands of dollars. I made numerous attempts to settle this dispute directly with the owner, Brain, but he has not been willing to address this matter any further. The owner has never apologized for this mistake nor have they shown any willingness to compensate us for the additional expenses that we incurred as a result of his errors. I could not recommend a contractor who fails to insure that his work is safely and properly done. I understand that mistakes happen, but I also feel that his lack of willingness to apologize for the situation he put our home in and also be unwilling to compensate our family unnecessary expenses to remedy the problem *HIS* company cost us, says a lot about how much he values his customers.

The Generac 7171 wireless unit I was looking for was in stock and they were able to schedule the reasonably priced install to be completed within a couple weeks. The quality of the communication with them including Kelly in the office and the installation work and efforts of the owner Mike, electrician Anthony and team was exceptional. Mike and Anthony are both fully licensed master electricians and their attention to detail is very evident in their work in every way. Responses to any questions I had were handled in a very professional and thoughtful manner. Any of us who have had our Generac installation and/or service work completed by Long Island Emergency Power in Deer Park, or will have in the future, are very fortunate individuals. This morning when we shut off the air conditioning, electricity in parts of the house would also go out, and when the A/C was on only hot air was blowing as the outside condenser wouldn't kick on. My husband called up 2 A/C guys and they said that's an electrician's problem, then he called 2 electricians and they said it's and A/C problem. He then called Bill at Marathon and detailed the issue to him over the phone and Bill had it solved before ever arriving, then confirmed his diagnosis when he got to the house. It wasn't an A/C problem at all, it was damaged LILCO lines going to the house from hurricane Sandy. Bill fixed the problem, and within 20 minutes had the A/C running, and now no more issues with the electricity in the house. He replaced 50 year old connectors with heavy duty ones and now we can run ALL of the appliances (microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer) at once which my father-in-law could never do before.
