I later called in another repair person and was told 1. The fuel filter is old and had NOT been changed (supposed to be part of that major maintenance I paid mayfair for) 2. The other repair person was able to get everything running with out changing the expensive relays mayfair recommended. At this point I feel my generator was sabotaged in order to drum up unnecessary charges by mayfair. I am disgusted and would never use this company again for anything.

I quickly turned around and my husband was going to the breaker box and not saying a word so I knew he was in ‍ mode. I quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher in case there was any wires burning behind the wall. Thankfully from what we could tell there was not. But we are not electricians. My husband called a service we have that contacts area electricians for you and one called back, said all was good just not to use any of the other lights on that switch and he would see use the following Thursday as in a whole week. I could not believe when my husband told me later on that was what was going down. My exact words were oh hell no. I got on with the company we use explained what happened and they said hold on. That's where Mike comes in. He immediately got off the Wantagh Pkwy and came to our home in Levittown. He made sure all the mains were off then showed us that we still had a live wire cooking away in there. Most likely nothing would have happened because we weren't going to mess with it but you never know. Plus we have old fashioned fixtures in our home so Mike updated us into the 21st Century with some nice looking 3way lighting fixture. He is a somewhat quiet but truly down to earth guy with a lot of patients and family values. He was here for about 45 minutes and cleaned up after himself including I am sure the dust that was on my table. If you are looking for an honest, hard worker, who knows his stuff look no further.
