It's one of the few city-owned tennis courts that are in nice shape. For being right on Whitesburg Drive, which is a fairly busy road, the noise from traffic is not bad at all. The neighborhood is a really nice area, with a school adjacent to this small park, along with medical offices and some absolutely lovely homes!

This track was huge and sorta intimidating! 1 lap around = 1 mile. We managed to WALK 3 miles but it was a little bit of a challenge. Hopefully the next time I come here I'll be able to run and not just walk the track. By no means am I a runner but I am trying to challenge myself more with my workout regimen. The park was super crowded due to baseball games going on. There are several baseball fields along with soccer fields. This is a nice facility. Oh and there is a small and large dog park on site as well! I plan to bring my fur buddy to the dog park real soon. I'm sure he'll love it! There is adequate parking with ease to accessing the park. The park is located right off the main Hwy so it's really easy to find.

Private facility that hosts volleyball and basketball tournaments/play dates. Very little parking…read more Very little seating. Charge $10 admission for one game. Concession stand is way over priced and of course, no outside food and drink is allowed. "Tournaments" aren't one game a day with no winner. Travel tournaments are one thing because the teams sign up that. Parents know what they are getting into. Charging that for high school events and calling it a "tournament" when parents have no control, is horrible and ridiculous!

The facility was about 45 minutes from the FEMA training center in Anniston, Alabama, so being bused back and forth was a bit of a drag. You can expect that on deployments. Anyways, I've sidetracked. It also has several large housing buildings that are setup like hotels. They have two full tennis courts that are decent and a half basketball court that is off to the side of the tennis courts and shares the same fenced in area. There is ample parking here at the park, but I can see how during large events that parking could become scarce. They have two lots; one is located by the tennis courts and other is shared with the Jewish Chabad Center next door. The main section of the park is completely fenced in and has a small picnic shelter with tables under it, a decent paved 2/10 of a mile walking trail, a restroom facility, benches, and a couple of picnic tables. There is a bunch of shade in this area and green space in the center where you could hold a picnic, play catch or relax on. You will also see a borrow a book box and a story trail in the are as well The are also has a playground area that is on a bed of wood chips and has traditional swings, toddler swings, tire swings, a medium sized jungle gym with a slide, A fire truck themed jungle gym with a couple of slides, a merry-go-round, and a jungle gym with monkey bars and rock climbing. The equipment is in decent shape and looked like kids would have a lot of fun here. Because the area is fenced in, it is popular for those with dogs. Even though they have many signs posted to tell you to keep your dogs on a leash, I saw a few people that did not while I was there. This is a very nice park that has a lot to offer. I love the shade that it has. Even though it is located off of a busy road, I still found it peaceful.
