Each course is unique and has a nice layout. The course is fun for all experience and skill levels! The course is maintained, however there are some problem areas and some greens are not in the based of shape at times. The staff is very welcoming and genuine! Which is why - I assume -…read moresaid cousin had the wedding attendees drive 30 minutes south down I-65 to Terri Pines, where alcohol is legal and the ballroom is big(ish). I played in a junior golf tournament here a decade ago, but the memory is fuzzy. But this past weekend, Terri Pines was the highlight. Tastefully decorated, it provided an excellent backdrop for the wedding of a younger cousin of mine and his sweetheart. The band was definitely hoppin', and the bar was pourin'. The fact that I didn't notice the staff means that they did an excellent job bussing tables and serving drinks. Issues resulting in 2-star deduction: the place is a bit hard to find (on a country road off the interstate), the line for the buffet snaked through the ballroom and into the bar area (better planning would have eliminated this issue), and the bathrooms were sub-par as far as country club WCs go. But, all in all, a nice place for a wedding for some very nice folks.

My wife had the hamburger soup and I had the Rueben on Marble Rye with Fries. Good cook on the pastrami, not overloaded on the sauerkraut. Fries were done to perfection. Chef did a wonderful job, very professional and Courteous. JO is in charge of the restaurant and runs a tight ship. Checked out the PRO shop and it was fully stocked with many essential items and some. Golf course is beautiful, there is one home owner who put up a soda/water/lemonade/hot chocolate stand by home #2 and sticks it himself. Such a wonderful person to do that.

Most of the holes have picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and streams. No question one of the most beautiful golf courses around Birmingham. The course is a challenging track. There are some very long holes, elevation changes, and lots of hazards that require carry. I was playing very well on the front nine, but the wheels came off on the back. Holes #10 and #11 ate my lunch and I couldn't recover. I definitely think the back 9 is more difficult. Don't let the rural setting fool you, this course is relatively high-end golf. The course is owned and operated by Warrior Golf company. They keep it pretty well maintained, and it is professionally run. The green fees are expensive ($94), but they occasionally run specials. We used a March special that was advertised on FaceBook. It was Friday golf for four for $140. That was a steal!
