The food is gross, the course is ugly now, and the pool and the lake are horribly managed. I've talked to some of their low tier workers like servers and lifeguards and apparently they're not getting paid right and some of the lifeguards aren't even certified which is a total liability. This place is a joke now compared to what it used to be with Jack Warner. With the amount of money going into this place you'd expect it to be nicer but it's not. Which makes you question where all the money is going. My guess is that there is some serious money laundering going on or some embezzlement going on behind closed doors between Adam Cash and Andy Turner.

I worked there for years in various capacities: a server in the various dining rooms, special event serving (wedding receptions and other events), bartender in the upstairs bar, and bartender in the 19th hole. I really enjoyed working here and even held a function (I believe it was a rehearsal dinner) when my Momma's friend loaned us her membership to use the facility. The food was really well prepared when I worked there. The facility was always sparkling clean and the kitchen was spotless and well run! I can't speak to the golf, since I have never golfed here. I do know there is a mature pecan tree on the edge of the golf course where people like to go and load up on the pecans when they are in season. The swimming pool was always well managed and full of young people and a few adults, too. It was nice that members can order food and have it delivered to them at the pool! Huntsville County Club offers a variety of memberships from City Social (non golfer), Corporate Membership, Non-Resident Golf, Senior Golf, Full Resident Gold, Young Executive Golf, and Junior Executive Golf. The Huntsville County Club Golf Pros teach golf lessons to children aged 4 and up and adults. They've always had a nice pro shop, and they've added a TrackMan golf simulation room in 2019. The TrackMan is a 650 square foot room in the clubhouse with TrackMan 4 golf simulation technology, artificial turf, and a 225 inch screen that projects data. This room is used for lessons, practice, playing, or "just surviving the winter months without being cold." If you get the opportunity, do visit Huntsville County Club, it is a lovely addition to Huntsville!

From the outside, it looks like this place has seen better days. However, the inside was nice. It's very spacious.

So fortunate to participate in a 'shamble' scramble here yesterday. The weather was absolutely dialed in, and everything was seamless from registration (great swag thanks to Blue Creek) to the post scramble meal, to the pro shop where you redeem your prizes (yeah, I um, scored the "ladies longest drive" prize - shameless plug). Turns out the pro shop has everything you'd want clothing wise, from onesies for babies to children's golf clothes to cigars and a good array of selections for men, but, nothing cute and frilly for me. As I was feeling deflated, the pro offered up a catalog to me, and I scored two adorable pink golf shirts that he will have custom embroidered with their logo for me! Nice touch! I had never played golf using carts that stop automatically, meaning you do not have to squash in the brake to lock the cart in place, until yesterday at the Ledges. This is an excellent feature for this course because it is literally like a roller coaster in twists and turns! At any angle, when you put your foot on the brake, the cart stops and stays put. Each hole is named (e.g., Old Stoney, The Pedestal, False Hope (featuring an unseen water hazard), Hawks Haven (yes, there are hawks up there!), Temptation). The greens are crazy fun because you get so many crazy "toilet bowl" rolls, and some putts actually appear to roll uphill! Only regret was not enjoying the driving range prior to the scramble. They take a supersized golf cart way down in the valley to an absolutely lovely driving range. Our group was too happy socializing to take advantage of a proper warm up in the awesome driving range Had we done this, maybe my twosome would have scored better than next to last, ha ha! Thank you Ledges, and thank you Blue Creek.

A huge pool with some of the clearest water adorned the premises. I didn't get to tour the entire venue but what I did see was simply lovely. I'm not sure of the price to become a member here, but I'm sure the fees help with the upkeep. If you ever get the opportunity to visit, you will not be disappointed. It is one of the most beautiful golf clubs in the city.

I really enjoyed watching the seniors play in a professional setting. It's been a long time since I've seen pro golf at this level. One negative I will say, is that there was only one restaurant for people with general admission tickets. And there were a LOT of people there. Maybe next year they could have a few more options? The one spot to eat was Full moon BBQ. This is just a minor thing, but something to think about! Also, don't forget your sunscreen, cool clothing, sunglasses and hat. Summers in Alabama are hot!

The kitchen was temporarily located outside and they produced the best sandwiches. Now the gold course: Man that is a tough course. First, the day was hot and humid so the ball didn't carry as far as normal on this long course. The greens are extremely challenging. There isn't a flat spot on any green. If you can reach them in regulation expect to two and three put. The course is beautiful but extremely challenging for the average golfer.

The owners of Burningtree were so nice and so helpful and treated us like family the whole time. Judy is incredible, she worked with us from start to finish to make our day perfect. From the food, and drinks to the set up and their company we could not have asked for more! Every employee that worked that weekend helped with our special day and we will be forever grateful!
