Checked out the PRO shop and it was fully stocked with many essential items and some. Golf course is beautiful, there is one home owner who put up a soda/water/lemonade/hot chocolate stand by home #2 and sticks it himself. Such a wonderful person to do that.

Most of the holes have picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and streams. No question one of the most beautiful golf courses around Birmingham. The course is a challenging track. There are some very long holes, elevation changes, and lots of hazards that require carry. I was playing very well on the front nine, but the wheels came off on the back. Holes #10 and #11 ate my lunch and I couldn't recover. I definitely think the back 9 is more difficult. Don't let the rural setting fool you, this course is relatively high-end golf. The course is owned and operated by Warrior Golf company. They keep it pretty well maintained, and it is professionally run. The green fees are expensive ($94), but they occasionally run specials. We used a March special that was advertised on FaceBook. It was Friday golf for four for $140. That was a steal!

I went online to make reservation for t time. Unfortunately when I started driving, gps kept taking me in circles, when I called the pro shop, I was told that this golf course is about an hour away from Hyatt. The person at the pro shop ( travis) was very professional and nice. He said that this was the first time he had heard of this problem. The Yelp needs to fix this issue.

It's very remote, but worth the drive. The restaurant is built and decorated in a lodge style. We had a table directly in front of the fireplace. Our server was excellent. I had a Riesling, but it was ordered for us, so I don't know the specifics. The menu is a bit limited. I started with a Hal Caesar salad. It was just the right amount of salad and dressing, and was very good. For dinner, I wanted the scallops, but not with caviar that it comes with. I would have liked the trout, but it's not Rainbow or other white flaky varieties. It's Steelhead, which pink and dense like salmon, so I settled on the paradelle with wild boar ragu. It was tasty in a brown, but spicy, sauce. The meat was tender, and the noodles were excellent. They tasted homemade. We finished by sharing their desserts. I particularly enjoyed the cheesecake.

I asked for a "buttery" Chardonnay and the waitress replied: "she don't drink no more, but never tried these when she did, so she don't know." Never occurred to her to ask the bar tender. She was sweet and innocent and not her fault. This place needs to train their staff to provide the service they advertise so the service meets the cost to stay and dine there. The food portions were ridiculously skimpy, although very pricey. Something was just really off about this place.

In a place that frankly would have every right to act a bit "full of itself", the staff is professional and has clearly been trained to treat everyone as a "member". The menu, both the variety and of course the preparation is phenomenal, and don't miss the chance to walk the grounds and the course. The views are breathtaking.
