Kids chicken strips and butternut squash Mac. All the food is cold and comes packed in aluminum, requiring a stove reheat at 350 degrees. Here's where my ratings kick in for what I tried. Pot pie was ok. No flavor whatsoever until I threw down some pepper, paprika, and garlic. I'd prob try it again but maybe the full gluten version. Blackened shrimp was decent too. Not a fan of the mango salsa. Pretty standard for this dish. Would eat again. Pork stir fry was good; added some sriracha and lite soy to kick up the flavor. Would smash a plate again. Overnight oats are an acquired texture. Had to mix it up to share the tiramisu cream on top and definitely had coffee in it! Not bad though. Protein brownies were on point and you got three of em in one package! Smashed em big time. Real good! Vanilla cold brew was another smasher. Cup didn't even make it home before I drained it like a coffee vampire. Was flavorful and could have used a 24 oz version instead of a standard cup for $5. Liked the buffalo chicken stuffed peppers. More of an appetizer than a meal but again kicked up flavor with more seasoning and hot sauce. The sprouts were exceedingly hard. Those got tossed. The kids meal was inedible. Chicken tenders were very hard and breading seemed powdery? Not good. The Mac was ok but seemed old. Had a skin on the top after reheating. Wouldn't recommend that meal, especially for children. Overall for $80ish, decent amount of food for a few days for 4 people. I look forward to trying some other dishes but I'm not blown away and would give it a "meh". Gonna try a few other local spots for comparison but so far my search for a reliable, healthy, homemade ready to go meal place is still afoot.

I was mostly looking for ground pork because I couldn't find it anywhere in the grocery stores. But then I couldn't help but purchase some other protein - since it's so hard to find nowadays! It was an easy pick up process at the Ann Arbor warehouse with clear directions. Note that they offer pick up all throughout MI and as far as KZOO, Grand Rapids, and Bay City! Some things to consider: *The timing -- you have until the Monday of, for pick up on the following Friday. For instance, I placed my order today (5/8) for pick up on 5/15. *The meat comes frozen! So if you're planning a meal, be sure to buffer in some thaw time.

Meez has been a new addition and has a lot about it that is great. The most remarkable thing is how quick it is to cook as they do ALL the prep for you. No chopping or peeling, it comes vacuum packed and ready to use whether that means cubed, shredded, or sliced. Also, quality of ingredients (while not necessarily organic, is very good, fresh, tasty). Generally Meez meals take 1/2 the time to make as the other services that rely on you doing the prep work. The meals themselves tend to be quite tasty, though we have not been crazy about some quirky flavor combos. Also, fewer meals to choose from than other services, so that can be frustrating. We have two vegetarian teenagers and there are always at least three veggie entrees. Also they are able to flex and make items vegan or gluten free if that is your thing. They tend to be somewhat lower calorie and some meals have the Weight Watchers points included if you care about that. The people at Meez are very nice and accommodating. However, they are a relatively newer, smaller business so.....NO app, just a website and its interface with my android phone is quirky. Also, other services show you menus for months to come, Meez has a couple weeks out only. Finally, Meez sends you a cardboard instructions, no pictures or step by step while most others do photos of each step. Not a big deal for me, but some might care. That said, I think they are greener and more of their stuff can recycle. Also, the other companies give you the whole recipe with amounts if you ever want to do it yourself. I have not seen that with Meez. In sum, great quality, super easy to make, very flexible for different dietary needs, no hard sell, just charged if you order (many services charge and send food unless you cancel). I use Meez for about 8 to 10 meals each month. Highly recommend you check them out.
