I just had the strangest experience with this business yesterday, and I feel the need to write…read moreabout it. I was leaving a Chinese food restaurant yesterday (I do food deliveries part time) at around ~7pm, when a man came out of the JJs Prime Steaks van and told me he "had some extra steaks. Do you eat steak? Do you want any?" It was dark outside, and caught off guard, busy putting the delivery bags into my car, I politely told him "no." Me, not knowing what his business was even, told him he should perhaps give the steaks to a homeless person (I figured he was talking about cheesesteaks!) He proceeds to then offer me *cheesecake*. He explains the different kinds of cheesecakes he has, and me, figuring he's still talking about extra product he's trying to give away, is a little more interested. Fast forward ten seconds, he's handing me a raspberry cheesecake and he says, "20 dollars." I tell him I'm not interested, and he scoffs at me! And then he passively aggressively says, "Oh, and what sort of food do you eat? Oh, I see, Chinese food." I respond, while getting into my car and driving away from this rude "businessman," that this isn't my food and I'm a delivery driver! I can't believe the level of unprofessionalism of this company! And reading other reviews, it sounds like this isn't a one-off episode! It doesn't matter how good your product is if you are this unprofessional to potential clients!

I'm hoping to have some thing that doesn't have added sugar and is natural and healthy. I feel a little hungry, but I don't want to eat any real food just yet. Ordered two of the nutty professor. The super trooper helps with energy and is supposed to be filling too, but the nutty professor always wins, we love our PB. The nutty professor is bad, it's a decent mix of unique Ingredients. It has lots of different textures from the peanut butter chocolate protein smoothie, coconut flakes, flax seeds, oats, granolas, almonds, banana and chocolate nibs. They use agave as their sweetener here. Nice. I can't decide if I like the bowl or not. It's different for sure. Half way through my stomach got queasy. Not sure if it's the stevia from the protein shake or what triggered my nauseawasn't able to finish my bowl. My husband said he liked his bowl just fine. 10% discount, if you check in on Yelp.

It has been so helpful in helping me get out of burnout to just know that I have a high quality, dairy free meal I can eat in the fridge. The customer service has been fantastic. There are some standard meals that I really love: Baked Seasoned Cod, Cauliflower Burrito Bowl, and Turkey Meatloaf. However, there are occasionally some meals that do not hit the spot, which is always a bummer because everything else is so good.

So I am a big fan of the box meals and have tried a number of different companies. Love Plated,…read moreHello Fresh, Martha and Marley Spoon. Our family does almost all of our meals with boxes. This has meant no more waste, no spending a bunch on eating out, much less time grocery shopping and meal planning, but still able to cook and eat together at home. Meez has been a new addition and has a lot about it that is great. The most remarkable thing is how quick it is to cook as they do ALL the prep for you. No chopping or peeling, it comes vacuum packed and ready to use whether that means cubed, shredded, or sliced. Also, quality of ingredients (while not necessarily organic, is very good, fresh, tasty). Generally Meez meals take 1/2 the time to make as the other services that rely on you doing the prep work. The meals themselves tend to be quite tasty, though we have not been crazy about some quirky flavor combos. Also, fewer meals to choose from than other services, so that can be frustrating. We have two vegetarian teenagers and there are always at least three veggie entrees. Also they are able to flex and make items vegan or gluten free if that is your thing. They tend to be somewhat lower calorie and some meals have the Weight Watchers points included if you care about that. The people at Meez are very nice and accommodating. However, they are a relatively newer, smaller business so.....NO app, just a website and its interface with my android phone is quirky. Also, other services show you menus for months to come, Meez has a couple weeks out only. Finally, Meez sends you a cardboard instructions, no pictures or step by step while most others do photos of each step. Not a big deal for me, but some might care. That said, I think they are greener and more of their stuff can recycle. Also, the other companies give you the whole recipe with amounts if you ever want to do it yourself. I have not seen that with Meez. In sum, great quality, super easy to make, very flexible for different dietary needs, no hard sell, just charged if you order (many services charge and send food unless you cancel). I use Meez for about 8 to 10 meals each month. Highly recommend you check them out.

Customer service is less then helpful. I ordered 4- 12packs of Vernor's ginger ale and requested it be delivered to another state. They even called to verify that it was a legit order. I called on the 18th of Dec. to see when it would be delivered and they told me FedEx delivered it on the 8th of Dec. however we never received. Customer Service told me to check neighbors trash that they couldn't do anything. I contacted FedEx and not being the shipper they couldn't give me any info. Contacted The vernor's store and talked several times but now all I get is a recording to leave a message and they will text me back and still no text. So I am out of pocket for a service/product and nothing to show for it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Save your self some frustration and money. I would give them a -10 if it was possible.
