Parking is not fun on 9 mile on a Saturday at all. It's chaos and a mad rush for a spot too…read more I decided to stop in here to grab a juice or shake. I'm hoping to have some thing that doesn't have added sugar and is natural and healthy. I feel a little hungry, but I don't want to eat any real food just yet. Ordered two of the nutty professor. The super trooper helps with energy and is supposed to be filling too, but the nutty professor always wins, we love our PB. The nutty professor is bad, it's a decent mix of unique Ingredients. It has lots of different textures from the peanut butter chocolate protein smoothie, coconut flakes, flax seeds, oats, granolas, almonds, banana and chocolate nibs. They use agave as their sweetener here. Nice. I can't decide if I like the bowl or not. It's different for sure. Half way through my stomach got queasy. Not sure if it's the stevia from the protein shake or what triggered my nauseawasn't able to finish my bowl. My husband said he liked his bowl just fine. 10% discount, if you check in on Yelp.

It has been so helpful in helping me get out of burnout to just know that I have a high quality, dairy free meal I can eat in the fridge. The customer service has been fantastic. There are some standard meals that I really love: Baked Seasoned Cod, Cauliflower Burrito Bowl, and Turkey Meatloaf. However, there are occasionally some meals that do not hit the spot, which is always a bummer because everything else is so good.

Can you say HERO or Villains for the win! WOW, what an amazing day even with the rain, this food…read moretruck brought a smile to everyone's day. I always say that my teachers are heroes without capes so the theme of this truck was so fitting. Every year, I try to do something extra special for my staff. This year, I booked the Hero Or Villain Food Truck. I was able to select 6 different sandwiches for my staff to choose from and options such as loaded fries & soft drinks. These sandwiches were the BOMB! Freshly made and grilled with such unique options: Blackfire (Steak, bacon, egg, mozz, grilled peppers, onion & drizzled with a spicy sriracha mayo), Thor (Turkey, bacon & Cheddar, mayo), Kingpen (Grilled Chicken, mozzarella & pesto aioli), Captain Planet (Marinated Mushrooms, Grilled Onions, Mozz, Red Pepper & pesto aioli), Deathstroke (Steak, grilled peppers, provolone, onion & mayo), Hawkeye (Turkey, swiss, sauerkraut, pickles, 1000 island dressing). These sandwiches were served on grilled sourdough, marble rye or a hoagie bun. My favorite was Thor but the Hawkeye was equally as delicious. I didn't have a chance to try all of them but everyone was raving about their sandwiches. The two ladies working the food truck were amazing. Serving up 50+ sandwiches in 1 1/2 hours was seamless. I've been told that this food truck travels all over the place. If you are lucky enough to try them, trust me, you will be in sandwich heaven! If you are booking an event, I highly recommend Hero or Villain Food Truck. Until next time, #catwoman

This review is for their food truck, which I've been to a couple times…read more They've got fun sandwiches inspired by superheroes and villains in Marvel and DC comics: perfect for nerds like me! I will say, it is pricy and can take a long time to make since it's made fresh to order, especially if there's any kind of line. The Kingpin sandwich was delicious and my go-to: chicken, mozzarella, spinach, tomatoes, and pesto aioli on grilled sourdough. It's a great combo of ingredients. I also have tried their waffle fries are solid. I would love to try other varieties at their home base in Ferndale (which has more variety). But I highly recommend checking this place out. Great quality and great tasting sandwiches!

Meez Meals - Broccoli with Curried Couscous

So I am a big fan of the box meals and have tried a number of different companies. Love Plated,…read moreHello Fresh, Martha and Marley Spoon. Our family does almost all of our meals with boxes. This has meant no more waste, no spending a bunch on eating out, much less time grocery shopping and meal planning, but still able to cook and eat together at home. Meez has been a new addition and has a lot about it that is great. The most remarkable thing is how quick it is to cook as they do ALL the prep for you. No chopping or peeling, it comes vacuum packed and ready to use whether that means cubed, shredded, or sliced. Also, quality of ingredients (while not necessarily organic, is very good, fresh, tasty). Generally Meez meals take 1/2 the time to make as the other services that rely on you doing the prep work. The meals themselves tend to be quite tasty, though we have not been crazy about some quirky flavor combos. Also, fewer meals to choose from than other services, so that can be frustrating. We have two vegetarian teenagers and there are always at least three veggie entrees. Also they are able to flex and make items vegan or gluten free if that is your thing. They tend to be somewhat lower calorie and some meals have the Weight Watchers points included if you care about that. The people at Meez are very nice and accommodating. However, they are a relatively newer, smaller business so.....NO app, just a website and its interface with my android phone is quirky. Also, other services show you menus for months to come, Meez has a couple weeks out only. Finally, Meez sends you a cardboard instructions, no pictures or step by step while most others do photos of each step. Not a big deal for me, but some might care. That said, I think they are greener and more of their stuff can recycle. Also, the other companies give you the whole recipe with amounts if you ever want to do it yourself. I have not seen that with Meez. In sum, great quality, super easy to make, very flexible for different dietary needs, no hard sell, just charged if you order (many services charge and send food unless you cancel). I use Meez for about 8 to 10 meals each month. Highly recommend you check them out.

Everything is already chopped and the sauces made for those days when you don't have time to cook! Their customer service is also very responsive.
