The store was not busy, yet customer service was nearly nonexistent. Retail staff avoided engagement and could not help with a simple request to plug in and test a clearance couch. When I asked multiple times, I was brushed off and eventually told "they're just like that." At checkout, concerns were argued instead of addressed. Sales staff showed no interest when I asked about RVs. I left carrying a large boxed item and my dog, without assistance. Very poor in-store experience. They lost a lot of money from me. Besides the couch, I was looking to buy a generator. Also, just like my retail experiences in Garner, they constantly push and overtalk a Good Sam membership.

There were some minor things I noticed that were damaged, and I asked about a warranty. I was told there was no warranty on preowned campers. When it came time to seal the deal it was a whole different story. Couldn't do anything about the price because now it was not preowned, but a leftover. This place has no integrety, do not deal here. Everything we were told was a lie, and just a means to cheat us. Deby Z.

I…read morecontacted Shaw RV for an appointment to inspect my class B Winnebago Rialta before completing the motorhome sale. I called Shaw RV on March 20, 2024, to schedule an appointment to have them check out the RV. They let me know they were busy that week, and Tuesday, March 26, 2024, would be the first available appointment they would have to do their review. I had an appointment to bring the RV to be serviced on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 8:00 am. Nobody was there until 8:15 am, when Shane arrived that only then that they would have the RV inspected no later than Friday, March 29. That was not conveyed when I set up the appointment, and I was under the understanding it would be checked out while I waited, which was my mistake for thinking it could be done while I waited. Shane took all my information again, and I told him I would return before 5 pm to leave the RV, and he would do his best to get everything done before Friday or, at the latest, by Friday. After calling on Thursday, March 28, to check the progress, I had to leave a message for someone to call me back on their voicemail. I was waiting for someone to return my call. I called again on Friday, March 30, left a message, and again, I was waiting for a return call. I called again on Monday, April 1, and spoke with Paul. He gave me a rundown of how long the diagnostics for each item would take, varying from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the issue. I asked what this would cost, but I received no answer other than that they would go over everything with me once everything was inspected. Since I had yet to hear back from anyone by 3:07 pm on Tuesday, April 2, I left another voicemail message to call me with an update. Again, no one returned my call by noon on Wednesday, April 3, so I drove to the Service Department and met a gentleman named Alan, who worked part-time there. He was unaware of the status but did find the paperwork on what was being done, although he could not update me on when all inspections would be completed or pricing; other than that, some parts needed to be ordered. Alan said he would call me by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 3, to give me an update. Since I have not received a call, I called at 4:38 pm on Wednesday since the shop closes at 5 pm in hopes of getting an update. Again, no one answered my call, and I had to leave another message for someone to call me back. I'll add updates, but I am very frustrated at this point. My potential buyer has been patient, but I must find out how long that will last. I intend to sell this RV with any known repairs that may be needed before completing the sale so I can convey the condition and perform repairs or provide credit to let the new owners complete any work.

Coming to them for help with a system that was partially working and my knowledge at the lower end of the scale they explained any questions I had, which were numerous, and they did it with patience and respect. They would often answer texts after hours and always followed through with explanations, options and accurate cost estimates. I could not have found a better solution than Stream RV.

We did a white knuckle drive all the way to California and about 100 miles from Stream RV the check engine light came on, called Stream RV and was told it was probably the gas cap. It wasn't the gas cap, I never got use to the steering "wandering" called so many places to try and correct the steering issue, spent thousands of dollars to correct the check engine light and steering issue, the Timberline 4x4 conversion that Stream RV used is out of business, called Ujoint in Colorado and was told they could correct the problem but would have to remove all the Timberline 4x4 components and replace with there components which does not use coil springs on the front end. You would think that a place that did 4x4 conversions would know about the steering problem caused by using the timber line conversion kit and I feel that they knew about the check engine light because its come on several times , Here are some of the things we have done to try and correct these issues. New fuel pump, coil springs, rear leaf springs, 3 steering stabilizers, red head steering box, sway bar, track bar, frame reinforcement, corrected the alignment, casters, camber and toe. So frustrated, I wish we had never heard of Stream RV.

I've had issues with a leak around my commode. I've taken it to a few other places to have this issue just placed a damn (trying to keep it G rated) Band-Aid on it. But Country Roads RV Center, their service team kicked that toilets butt. ( G rating ) I had to take in once and it stopped leaking for a little bit but their service tech finally found the problem the second time around! And you want to talk about quick! They got to the problem and THEN I made them fix a few "other issues" I needed help with. And!!! Installed a new kitchen faucet all in one day! Camping world would have taken a days to get this all done! Sorry Camping World. I think I've found another place to get this and that repair or fixed. Hey I just did a review for Camping World too! I was told the work would be 2 weeks out, and I would get a call with any needed work at that point, months before our trip, was perfectly fine - or so I thought . After 3 weeks, I called them, and the tire estimate was double what Discount Tire quoted, and they said I needed a new slide motor. They then ordered it, with an ETA of 2-3 days. After nearly two full months of status updates of "next week", the trailer was still not ready. Estimated completion times came & went, and many weeks later, two days before our vacation, they explained the parts ordered were "wrong" and they would get right on it. I only received updates whenever I initiated contact, which never came to pass. This caused us to cancel a long-planned vacation -- and lose our non-refundable deposit in the process. This experience was not only frustrating but also costly. I have no problem paying premium repair rates and higher tire prices when the work is done correctly, but six weeks late is a bit much. On top of all that, they simply glared at me wordlessly when I finally picked it up and had no further explanations or even an apology when I picked the camper up several weeks late. Just told me the total. To add insult to injury, the owner replied with a fictitious story & timeline, leaving out the fact that I brought in on 6/10/25 primary the tires, bearings, and a mechanical inspection, and specifically mentioned the slide blowing breakers. After I checked in on the 7/11/25 (over a month later) did anyone mention the motor, and said the ETA was 2-3 days, and that work would be done in a day. From that point on, I called for any further updates. Every call was 2-3 days, until we missed our checkin date - otherwise, we WOULD have picked it up.

He provided perfect, detailed information that made me feel confident even before I stepped onto the lot. When we arrived, Dan went above and beyond by personally picking us up at the airport. That kind of service is rare these days and truly touched us. The entire process--from the test drive to the detailed walkthrough with the expert technician--was flawless and professional. The owner and the entire staff were so welcoming and kind, making our purchase smooth and stress-free. A special thanks to the "handsome blonde" Dan for his exceptional help! This review is long overdue, maybe a little more than a month ago that my troubles were solved brilliantly by these people. Like all things in life things fail and this time after we spent the month of August in Western NC we made a list of the things that needed repair to bring the RV to it's original state. Some of the stuff that needed attention was the antenna over the cab that an MB dealer in SC had broken it during wash while servicing the engine and they glued back with JB Weld and of course kept it quiet. When I went to inspect the roof I barely touched it and it came apart. The LP needed a new regulator and the bed was not retracting in the lounge. So in my first visit this year to Howard the first two issues were taken care of but about the bed I was told that the frame got bent and needed a new one. Expensive and complicated process. So I spoke to John and took the RV back to Wilmington in October, him and two other people looked at the mechanism and ordered parts from Canada where LTV is made. John had to get under the bed while the other two people manually made the mechanism work to see where the problem was. Getting under the bed is not an easy task because there is barely room for sliding, not even crawling. Thank you John, you are awesome! The frame wasn't bent and didn't need replacing and now it works just the same as on day one. Just like Yelp has a ROTD I have a Review Of The Year ROTY and this is it 99 Stars to Howard RV Center and the great people that work here I am a Happy Camper, pun intended
