The lengthy contract that you signed, it cannot be terminated by making it crystal clear that you decide to terminate it. I still recommend this place due to the stellar trainers (i gave my trainer a very positive review on thumbtack) and very friendly, supportive, vibe, just be aware that you will have to yell and fight to stop being robbed afterwards. PS: just scrolled down others' reviews on google and unsurprisingly im not alone. PH, you have good trainers and good equipment, please just drop this despicable behavior and you will become a perfect gym!

I have been working with Cameron, a personal trainer at Powerhouse, to get back in shape. I have a…read moredisorder that makes my joints extra flexible, which got much worse when I got out of shape during the pandemic. Because my joints were so mobile, I was experiencing a lot of pain in my hips, knees and ribcage. I knew I needed to build muscle to strengthen my joints, but I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. Fortunately, I started working regularly with Cameron, and with his help I have made great progress. He's very encouraging and I work out much harder with him than I would on my own. Also importantly, because of his training, I have peace of mind knowing that he'll make sure I use correct form and not accidentally injure myself. Before I started working with Cameron, my ribs, knees and hips hurt. At points I couldn't walk more than a mile. Now I'm thrilled to say that I'm pain free, getting stronger by the day and no longer have mobility problems. The gains I've made with Cameron's help have had a huge positive impact on my day to day and I'm so happy to be able to trust my body again and no longer be in pain. Are you feeling out of shape and overwhelmed and don't know where to start? Try working with Cameron, and you'll safely see results and be feeling better soon! Thanks Cameron!

This is a great gym and I really loved my membership there, but the only reason I am not giving it…read more5 stars is because unless you are a Promedica Employee, it can be pretty expensive (for Toledo standards). I don't remember the specifics, but I think it's something like $70-80/mo with contractual requirements for 1 year, but it's half off for Promedica employees. It would be super affordable for the half off price, but as a student, I could never pay the full membership fee. They do have some discounted summer specials for students, which I took advantage of. The equipment at the gym is fancy schmancy. There are tons of different cardio machines, each with their own TV screens, and I got a kick out of the bikes that have different virtual scenarios. What I loved the most were the exercise classes. During the two months that I used the gym, I went to Pilates, Barre Basics, Tummy Tush & Thighs, Insanity, and HIT Boot camp. They were all pretty good, and HIT kicked my ass. Again, I LOVED this gym, and I just wish they had more flexible and affordable membership options for students.

I actually left this gym a few months ago. I was pretty sad to do it because I know the amenities…read moreare great and it has always been clean, which many gyms are not! Unfortunately, they made some changes and consolidated some spaces, etc. One of those changes was severely cutting their hours. I believe they close at 8:00 p.m. throughout the week now, and 2:00 p.m. on the weekends! These hours don't fit most people's lives, especially mine as a night shift nurse. I can handle rearranging some equipment and even closing the kids club, but if I can't get there because they close so doggone early it's not worth me paying for it. By the way, even though they cut out several hours per week of available gym time for clients, they did not cut out any of the very expensive monthly dues for members. This business is owned by ProMedica and if I didn't know any better I would think that they didn't care about encouraging people to live a healthy lifestyle, and that they only cared about money. And then I remembered that I am a ProMedica nurse and that is absolutely, 100%, the case! They made these changes to the hours from a financial standpoint, not thinking about their clientele or giving a crap if anyone actually visits the gym (so long as they pay their monthly dues).
