This is a great stop on a beautiful drive through what feels like back roads Oregon. The country is just gorgeous. And this cafe is the perfect stop for good eating (HUGE servings) and to take a peak at all the local merchants showcasing their talents from cities, antiques, jewelry, candles, etc. Must stop! There are no services but I'm self contained in the van. Once the sun set, the stars came out and my night vision settled in, it was amazing. So very quiet out here and with absolutely no light pollution, I could see millions and millions of stars. Other than some noise of a truck or two in the night passing by, there was no noise. There might have been a police patrol, but I was sound asleep. And because it's Idaho, I was able to take my firearm out of its locked box and have it nearby just in case. Shower was fine, so most certainly would recommend this place. But overall this chain seems to be like Holiday Inn- overpriced- so this one is different for that regards.

The coffee tasted really watered down and weak not great if you actually need coffee to wake up in the morning. The biggest issue though was the water. The tap water left this really slippery, almost slimy feeling on your hands and skin that I could never get used to. We stayed there for 3 weeks, so it definitely wasn't a one-time thing. It actually got bad enough that I slipped getting out of the bathtub and hurt my wrist. My wrist was messed up for about 2 weeks afterward. When we mentioned it, they told us they had recently softened the water again, which explained a lot. Another thing people should know: if you prepay and end up needing to leave early, you may not get that prepaid money back. That was frustrating and something I wish we had known upfront. Not the worst place by any means, but definitely had some drawbacks especially for longer stays.

This place is honestly the best bang for your buck that you can get on a budget. My room was clean, modern and quiet, and I was impressed at the quality. The bathroom was nice, and I appreciated the mini-fridge, TV, and free wifi. The hallways did smell a little of smoke, but other than that, this was a perfect place to stay for a night!
