I love this place!! The lady on the phone was so pleasant and the man who checked me in couldn't have been nicer... I chose this place because of the reviews I read, and I honestly didn't see a bad one. The best part was that I didn't have to use a third party booking company, I could actually just call their number and book a room, how refreshing!! The two cats in the front office were warm and inviting (Fluffy, especially), sweetest kitties! I would absolutely recommend this place, it's clean and friendly. Stay here instead of Motel 6! Same price but homier. There's warmer light in the table lamp instead of cool blue, a large picture on the wall, and a blanket on the bed (along with sheet and spread--no blanket on Motel 6 bed in our November trip). We did Motel 6 on our way east and Ontario Inn on our return. Next time I'd just do Ontario Inn & support a local business. Only complaint is a room in the short of the L is closer to the road, which is noisy. Next time I'll try for a room further away. read more

Check in was easy, the man you helped me, told me about the continental breakfast, our room has a little microwave and fridge. Very spacious. We had a No smoking room. But there was a bench outside with an ash tray if someone needed to smoke. There is a large area in the back for pets. Pet friendly which is awesome. Pet friendly and clean! I travel with 2 dogs and this was a great find! Love the floor (laminate?) so no old carpet smell! Same with the chairs (vinyl not fabric) The fenced back yard is great! Grass, roses, shade trees, chairs. The room had fresh paint, good AC, fridge, microwave, hairdryer, good size bathroom. Dated shower but adequate. Too bad there were angry noisy people in the next room. And they were smoking just outside my room. Yuk. Reasonably priced and easy to find. Definitely will go back next year. read more

Vary basic and exactly what you'd expect for a budget motel. The bed was comfortable and they provide good amenities for any traveler. The owners are nice and the cats are a delight. My biggest issues were the noise from the main road the motel is situated on (hardly their fault, but light sleepers should be aware), and the lingering cigarette smell (the rooms are non smoking now but it's clear they used to be). read more

I finally started to stop here about 7 years ago on road trips, instead of settling for one of the motels in the motel nest right at the 84 exit. Wish I'd found this place sooner! It's not fancy by any means, just your basic old motel, but it's physically conveniently located, and management and staff take obvious pride in keeping the place up and clean (especially now!). One room reeked of old cigarette smoke, but I know that stuff is in the walls in the old smoking rooms and impossible to get out. It's all non-smoking now, hooray. The front desk guy I worked with is personable and has been here for years. Both rooms I was in on this trip have been scrupulously clean, and I really appreciate that. From the outside, it looks like an old-school, motor inn, but it's very charming inside. Comfortable beds, full size fridge, tiled walk in shower, laminate flooring. It's a great change of pace from corporate hotels, and it makes you feel like you're on an old fashioned 1960's American road trip. The motel was okay and staff nice. Problem was the very uncomfortable bed, very small shower, sand paper feel bath towels. The gal that was working the night we got there seemed to have had a bad day and acted like we were bothering her. There is an hospital down the street and their ambulances are parked across the street of the motel. We did not hear them very often. It is definitely pet friendly and the office has at least three cats, so if you are allergic stay out. The room was quiet, microwave, fridge with freezer, room coffee was very good. The town of Ontario is different. There is no decent restaurants that we could find or what the gal at the motel could direct us. We will not stay there again, although grateful that we had a place to sleep. read more

This motel has been the best and most accommodating. Very friendly! We have had to stay here long term due to our apt burning down and we have not had any issues. We are allowed to have guests and as soon as we set our used towels outside to be exchanged we get new ones. They have coffee 24/7. The price is affordable always. Pet deposit is not outrageous either and there is a place in the front end back for pets to run and kids to play. Close to restaurants and gas stations. Maintenance is on site 24/7. Would definitely recommend for long and short term stays. read more

I thought it was going to be a quaint little quick stop hotel, but it kept getting worse. From the guy pounding in my door at 10pm, because he left a beer in the fridge from the night before to the massive hairball sitting in the shower floor that was somehow overlooked by the cleaning crew??? Perhaps it was NOT cleaned, I'll never know, and either will you! Buyer beware. After submitting this review, owner did apologize and refund my stay, that is respectable I feel so I'm going to give another star, but check the cleanliness when you check in, usually bad housekeeping is due to bad management. read more

Deserves more than 5 stars! This is hands down the best "cheap motel" I have ever been to...and I have stayed at A LOT. We checked in last minute, without a reservation, and it was fast and simple. The reason for my trip was a very sad/emotionally trying experience, and I was absolutely exhausted. The sweet orange and white cat seemed to sense this, and was waiting to cuddle up every time I went outside. The office was very inviting, smelled like spiced apples and had a wonderful selection of complimentary tea and coffee. They also offer complimentary breakfast. The room was small, but cozy. It had the nice Keurig-style coffee maker that most fancy hotels do, and really nice shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soap, that I actually found nicer than the stuff at the Hilton I had stayed at the night before. There was a nice, big bathroom counter and good lighting for make-up. A mini fridge, microwave, hair-dryer, alarm clock, luggage rack. And a table and chairs...patio furniture outside the room. Plenty of fresh linens. Bed was comfortable, Everything was very clean. Basically, had all the amenities of a 4 star hotel, at a 1 star motel price. I enjoyed it so much I ended up staying a second night...would absolutely stay again. read more

Awww this is the hotel I was waiting for. Pet friendly. Small, old-fashioned motor court around a little courtyard lawn -- which my dog found just fascinating. The grass was deep and green and lush -- and clean. No nasty surprises lurking in the tall grass so I was completely comfortable walking around the little green with him in the dark. In fact -- it was such a nice little lawn -- even during this first week of Nov -- that the dog asked to go out 3 extra times, just to play. lol This is not a chain -- and it's not on Hwy 84 so you have to drive down into Onterio to find it. It's located near their big (regional?) medical center, so I'm guessing they get a lot of hospital families as guests. Breakfast was not showy, but adequate -- a toaster with english muffins, bagels, and Oatnut breat + butter and cream cheese; bananas, fruit cups, hot cereals, and coffee.... just enough to kick off the day. Queen bed, non-smoking. Fridge and microwave in room; wi-fi included. Clean, cozy. Loved it. Just a great, homey little place. I would stay here again -- gladly. read more

While driving up I looked over and said, No. in the dark, after 8 hours of nonstop driving, I was exhausted but terrified to stop. It was only the fact we had no other options that forced me to stop. I am so grateful we did. For two all but broke women driving across the country this place was a god send. Yes it looks scary. Yeah, it's old and has seen better days, long long ago. Yes there is little in the way of amenities besides the really good wifi, and warm showers. But the beds are clean, firm and comfy. The TV works, there's a fridge for your cooler and about 4 cats who make the place their home (vey friendly). I am grateful for this inn and their gracious, friendly staff who took us in off slick icy roads and let us sleep. read more

What a charming little hotel! I had a quick overnight trip in Ontario and booked this room online, regardless of the reviews I saw on other websites. The manager is very nice and accommodating. I stayed in a queen size room, non smoking. The room is not the most up-to-date decoration wise, but it was very comfy and super clean. The bed is nice, really cold air conditioning (which is perfect this time of year). There are no bugs or smells (which seems to be what most people fear and look for), absolutely clean. The room isn't very big, but it does have everything you need for 2 people. Mini fridge, microwave, a tv w/ cable. Shower only, but a nice vanity that is separate from the bathroom. There was also a large set of drawers for clothes and whatnot. It was pretty quiet despite being on a major road, and everyone seemed nice in the area. The manager recommend a restaurant done the street called Matsy's and it was delicious. Overall, I would stay here again! Great price too! read more

I stayed one night; no reservations but a room was available at the price quoted via email. The place is 50s-vintage, but I gravitate to older mom-and-pop motels (mostly because I expect 'em to be less expensive... when I travel, I just want to rent a comfortable room, not buy an "experience"). The room was clean - in fact, it smelled extraordinarily good in there! The bed was comfortable, there were lots of channels on the TV, the heating/cooling worked fine... and lots of warm water out of the shower. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. read more

The Ontario Inn, as mom-and-pop places go, is pretty nice. In the Summer, the owners hang flower baskets outside each room. And they have a nice little continental breakfast that includes teas, cocoa, fresh coffee and orange juice. The breakfast also includes big muffins, etc. The owners are very friendly. The room that I stayed in included a microwave and a fridge. And it was clean and comfortable. I recommend this motel if you are traveling through and want a good, inexpensive place to stay for the night. read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Ontario Inn. It could use some updates, but I enjoyed the 70's charm. The rooms were clean and the bedding was comfortable. The busy-ish street nearby quieted down around 9pm. It was very affordable and had a government discount, making it even more affordable for us. They also had a very friendly and polite cat at the office that "helped" with our check in process. The fridge and sink were full sized so I would recommend this place for a long term stay. Unfortunately, we had to leave at six and the continental breakfast started at 7am, so I cannot speak to its quality. All in all a great stay, I would recommend the Ontario Inn to friends. read more

If you're stuck in Ontario, this place isn't such a bad choice and definitely appears to be the best one for the price. It's on a commercial strip across from the medical center and away from the highway. Rooms are clean enough, beds are comfortable enough, bathroom is functional, and location is quiet. I loved this place. It was our last night of 5 on the road. I had called three other places in town but they were booked. I was a little nervous about this place to be honest. Boy was I wrong could not really see the outside as it was dark when we arrived and dark when we left. The inside was all refurbished. New paint new counters and best of all no carpet. I hate walking on carpet bare footed in motels. It had lots of channels on the tv a mini fridge and micro a hair dryer and all your toiletries. Bed was comfortable room was very clean. Office person was very nice and had 2 beautiful cats helping her out pet friendly but you would have never known by how fresh the room was. Would definitely recommend. read more

Small, family run inn located in a small town on the Idaho/Oregon border. Very friendly staff (including a gorgeous longhair cat that has the run of the place), clean comfortable rooms, free suand a nice breakfast in the morning including delicious strong coffee.
