A solid good place for breakfast. Gina was a lovely server. Helpful, attentive and friendly service. We are plant based by choice and have several allergy challenges so we did have to veer off the beaten path this morning. Denver hash browns covered with cheese....minus ham were very good. ( Gosh, I should have minus-ed the cheese and added portabella mushrooms!) Large portion we could easily spit, but we didn't Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Decent restraunt for the area - prices are a little high wich would be acceptable if they upped their game a little bit - wife liked her country fried steak and loaded potato - clam chowder was thin and salty and had so many potatoes was almost potato soup except for the clams - catfish was good but breading was soggy - steak had good flavor but was over cooked from medium - bacon wrapped shrimp was good and flavorful - calamari was definitely previously frozen and it showed - sturgeon bites...the sturgeon had good flavor but the cornmeal breading was super bland and threw the taste off completely (other guests next to us made same comment) over all with limited choices in a small town not a terrible stop if in the area and hungry read more

Food was good but the service & manager was terrible!!! I won't be back. People came in after us and got there food and left before we even got our food. The manager was a jerk and raised his voice at us. The server Mason was very rude as well I love local businesses so I hope they don't treat every customer like this. After my 2 hour wait they couldnt take my payment because there card machines were down but, we got cash to pay. the manager followed us to the parking lot and started screaming at me while I had my baby in my hands and was threatening me. Once we discovered this place, we went back every day during our stay at Hagerman. The food is so delicious. And the service is great. They have generous portions. Seriously, everything is so good! We often come here after going to the hot springs. The owners are very friendly and a pleasure to spend time with. They are really nice. Its fun talking with them! Every time we come here, the restaurant is packed. The restaurant is clean and spacious. There is also, an area for live music. And a piano if you want to play. The food is good too. Some of the available food options i like, and some i don't. However, I'm also really picky. But for the record, I dont like carrot cake at all, no matter how many times ive been made to try it. But the homemade carrot cake here is Sooooo good! This is the 1st time ive liked carrot cake!... After talking with the owner, we have learned that a good majority of the food is homemade or homegrown. You can see that the owners have a passion for what they do. If you are going through Hagerman Valley, give this place a try. read more

This restaurant does some things very well: generally steak and fish. Other entrees such as the chicken fried steak are frozen to beware. We ordered the steak fingers with tater tots and a cup of clam chowder. The steak fingers were tender, fresh breaded and crispy on the outside and the tater tots were crispy and done right. Excellent! However the clam chowder did not taste like a classic New England creamy clam chowder and we rated it a fail. The other order was grilled sturgeon with sautéed vegetables. Both were excellent. The sturgeon was seasoned and seared perfectly. It was juicy and hearty. The vegetables were julienne zucchini with some diced tomatoes which were seasoned deliciously. I ordered a side salad and everything was fresh except the lettuce on top of the salad bar bowl. I tried the sun dried tomato dressing, similar in look to thousand island but with a vinegar taste - so so. The restaurant has been freshly updated inside and the facilities look great. Our server Gina said she had been there 28 years and she was enjoyable. The dinner entrees include half portions which are available at lunch as well and this is a plus for those who want to cut down on huge portions. It made more sense to order a half portion of sturgeon which included all sides than to order the sturgeon sandwich then add incremental sides. I recommend the Snake River Grill if entrees are chosen carefully. read more

It was July 23rd, 2021, and my fiancees and I's anniversary. We got a little lost running around Hagerman that day. We ended up rolling through Twin and out the back of Balance Rock (honestly, I couldn't duplicate the route a second time) and we ended up in Hagerman hungry and tired. He was a chair user and the restaurant was very accommodating, making sure he felt welcome and that the aisles were clear for him to get through. They put us in that cute little indoor area with the fountain and the sun coming in on us on a beautiful summer day. Nobody was around. Service was fast, friendly and the food was cooked perfectly. The salad bar was small and a little different, but the food they brought out was definitely worth going back for. The experience itself is worthwhile, it was quaint and perfect. Unfortunately, our last anniversary together since my fiancees' life was cut short just a few short months later, but the memory of the positive experiences on that anniversary is among the memories I will cherish. read more

We had two meals here while visiting Hagerman. The first we ordered Sturgeon, Shrimp, and Fish and chips. The meals were wonderful and service was amazing. Or server and the manager kept checking on us and ensuring or drinks were filled. The second time, we ordered chicken strips and nachos. It was, again wonderful. It was our server's first day, so we missed a couple things (ketchup and fry sauce, to be specific). The manager checked in just before we were done and refilled our water and asked how our server did. We shared our concerns. We will definitely return on our next visit to Hagerman. Stopped for lunch at this place on our way through Haggerman. To summarize our experience/meal I'd say delightfully delicious. The food was great, we tried the Sturgeon, Soup of the day, salad bar, Crab Artichoke dip, and the kids ordered the corn dogs. Our server was awesome as well, she brought us water right away along with coloring pages for our kids. We would defiantly eat here again and are so glad we stopped for a meal. read more

We stopped in here for snack while out on a hot spring adventure. The outside of the restaurant is rustic and cute - typical of small town Idaho. Inside is very basic - this seems to be the "fine dining" option for the area and the seating/decor is fairly typical of a higher-end small-town diner, although a little dated. We arrived just before the dinner rush, and although there were only a few tables service was a bit slow to take our drink order and bring our drinks. However our bottled beer was served with a chilled glass so that was a plus. The bathrooms are only one room, and as the dinner crowd came in there was an obvious wait. When I used the restroom I noted the floor was quite dirty (like someone had tracked in mud and it had dried). Not a huge deal, but it seems like it is something that could have been dealt with during the slow time before the dinner rush. We had really just stopped in for the novelty of trying the alligator, so we ordered that and no entrees. The price is a bit steep for a plate of fried meat, but considering it is alligator we felt we were paying for an experience as well as a food item. When it came out it looked and smelled delicious - it was basically alligator finger steaks. The flavor and texture was interesting - it seemed kind of like fishy chicken.... or chickeny fish? But it was tasty and cooked well. I probably wouldn't order it again, just because of the price (unless I was in an area known for alligator), but I was happy that I got to taste it. After the slow service to begin with, our server was quick to bring the check to us before we had quite finished our alligator, and still had half or more of our beers. The dinner rush was coming in, but the restaurant was not even close to full yet, so we felt a bit unnecessarily rushed to finish our drinks and go. Overall, it was good but not great. I may try it again for some of their other off-beat appetizer options (hello, sturgeon and catfish nuggets), but won't be going out of my way for it. read more

Came at around 4 on a Sunday so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Nice waitress came over and took our drink order. We ordered an appetizer, Red Crab and Artichoke dip with toasted Bruschetta bread with grated cheese (which we never do...too much food) but it was delicious. We should've stopped right there but the wine and beer took over! My wife ordered a full order of breaded shrimp with a baked potato (loaded) and mashed potatoes. The Shrimp were great as was the baked potato, but the mashed potatoes were tasteless. We sent them back. I had the breaded cod (4 pieces) with fries. The fries were hot, fresh, and yummy. The cod was very good, but the breading was a bit thick. Oh, and I went for the salad bar which was nice and fresh. We asked for 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream for dessert, which was the perfect ending. We ended up taking about half of our food home. Nice place. Good service and a nice airy room to eat in. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience here. We waited an hour to get our food because the waitress forgot to enter in our food. Once we got our food there was a blonde hair in my dish & my brother's dish. I clearly do not have blonde hair so it was not from me. The staff were very sweet though. We got our dishes & drinks for free to make up for that so that was nice. Other than that I did not enjoy this restaurant but maybe it was just me! read more

Food is really good. The waitress we had ruined the experience. We ordered drinks and said we needed a minute to look at the menu. Our drinks arrived, without the waters we had also asked for. The waitress goes, "has it been a minute?" I said if she could please bring the waters we would be ready by then for sure. She stopped and talked to a table for about 5 or so minutes, glancing back at us. When we ordered, she didn't write it down... When she brought the food, it wasn't correct.... They made their money in drinks, because by the time we actually got what we ordered, we had plenty to drink. On the plus side, the leftovers are really good. read more

Was very frustrated and saddened to see they kept the name of the good meals they offered, but COMPLETELY changed the meal itself. Breakfast offerings are slim, and portions are too small. Food is comparable to surrounding area restaurants, no longer the stand out meal it once was. The amazing breakfast skillets have been removed as well. If you're looking for a place to hold a dinner event, this is it! They were great to work with...very flexible and accommodating. The room rate was very reasonable and the room is spacious and private. The food was delicious, set up buffet style in warmers for us to serve ourselves when we were ready. We had chicken, BBQ meat, rice pilaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and rolls. There was a big screen TV in the room that we used to hook up a laptop and guest WIFI was available for our use.
