But someone answered, made a reservation for us, and invited me to come by for a tour ahead of time. I did take a tour; our dogs stayed there this weekend, and we will be a returning customer. 1) The reception area is welcoming and organized. 2) The office staff is friendly. 3) The food organization for the boarded pets is great! 4) Our dogs were happy to see us but not pulling towards the door when we picked them up. They actually seemed to like staying there. 5) The play yard is visible .. you could see the dogs having fun. All in all, very happy with our first experience!

Dogs are always sneezing and coughing and ALWAYS in very small dirty kennels. The kennels do not always get cleaned daily (which leads to the spreading of infectious diseases) and they clean the kennels by spraying with disinfectant and water then vacuuming up all of the water. They do not scrub the kennels so there is still caked on dirt/waste in every single kennel. When they do get let outside they are not always being watched regardless of what she says. She is a liar and a manipulater. She is in this field for the money and will create every excuse possible to make sure her business stays running. She is rarely even there and when she is all she does is pretend to know all the dogs that come here daily all week long!! The employees sit inside while the dogs are outside in the FREEZING cold with no shelter. Dogs have died from escaping or being choked to death by tight slip leads and the employees responsible for this still ACTIVELY WORK THERE TODAY. She will let your dogs play in group with injures and not inform you until you pick your dog up and see it for yourself. These poor animals do not deserve this treatment. If you board here please reconsider. The staff is not being paid what they are promised and fights happen all the time. All of the vents and drains are covered in mold. (Call and schedule a free tour to see for yourself) If the staff is outside with the dogs they are not aloud to kneel or sit down and pet them because it could cause fights (resource gaurding). I have worked at many kennels professionally for 3 years and this is not the way to run any facility. My dog only got 18k steps from 8-6 and she gets double at other facilities for the same cost. Additionally they have dirt instead of turf like the other places I go to which is just a preference since I have a dog that easily gets hair in her fur. My dog has high energy so this model may work for a lot of other dogs who want to give their dogs breaks in between play, I just would rather send to a daycare to get the biggest bang for my buck.

I also noticed they took my whole bag of calming treats I packed for my pup to use during thunderstorms. I know they keep the dogs in crates at night so it made me think that my dog was sleeping in his pee for multiple nights with how badly this blanket smelt. My red eye flight arrived mid afternoon and went to get my dog without advance notice. This didn't give them time to hide the abuse they were putting my poor dog through. I noticed his tail hair was yellow--it was saturated in dry pee and on top of that he did not have any water in his crate and a bowl with scattered food. This is very concerning since I was told that the dogs are taken out into the backyard every 2 hours for potty relief. Also, my dog has a history of pancreatitis so it is crucial for him to eat his own food. I know something was given to him to entice him to eat because he had diarrhea and loose stool. Upon further notice after getting him home, he had a deep crate line on his nose that took a couple of weeks to go away. Lastly, the dogs naturally get excited anytime someone comes in so they start barking in their crates. The way that Mary yells at them to "shut up" is APPALLING and unprofessional. They try to tell you that the dogs they care for become comfortable with them shortly after the owner leaves. Almost every dog I saw looked anxious. This is no way that a person who loves dogs or animals would treat them. Please do not bring your pet here if you want them in a caring and trust-worthy environment while you're away.

The first paperwork meeting took awhile. She wrote everything down, asked us to confirm it was right, then asked to have it written out for her again. She mentioned customer complaints about her, but wouldn't share the nature of them when asked. She came across a bit flaky, but not irresponsible, so we proceeded. I had a webcam in the living room which was in plain view. Here are some things that didn't go so well: 1. We asked to have two dogs walked twice a day. Only one dog was walked, three times a day. 2. She visited for 20 minutes max, not the half hour promised. 7-8 minutes for the one-dog walk (her timing was remarkably consistent), not exactly the "exercise" she talked about giving them. The remaining time was prepping meals & meds (pills & pockets), feeding & letting dogs out in the back yard. The dogs didn't get much time at all to take care of business. She could have at least left 2 dogs out back while she walked the third, but she didn't. The 'play time' she talked about didn't happen. 3. I got an odd text message asking if someone else was watching the dogs. Nobody else had been to the house. She confused a dog moving around the bed covers with someone coming in & changing the blankets. Whaa? 4. One dog ripped into a box of brillo pads which she moved out of reach, but no text message about that one. 5. The water bowl was dry on our return, 2 hours after her final visit. The dogs were very, very thirsty. Two weeks later, still no follow-up call from the office to see how things went. Imagine my surprise.
