I don't recommend this place. Who wants to play the dog sitter lottery & HOPE they send someone who can handle basic dog care? We have 3 dogs, the sitter was here for 3 days. The first paperwork meeting took awhile. She wrote everything down, asked us to confirm it was right, then asked to have it written out for her again. She mentioned customer complaints about her, but wouldn't share the nature of them when asked. She came across a bit flaky, but not irresponsible, so we proceeded. I had a webcam in the living room which was in plain view. Here are some things that didn't go so well: 1. We asked to have two dogs walked twice a day. Only one dog was walked, three times a day. 2. She visited for 20 minutes max, not the half hour promised. 7-8 minutes for the one-dog walk (her timing was remarkably consistent), not exactly the "exercise" she talked about giving them. The remaining time was prepping meals & meds (pills & pockets), feeding & letting dogs out in the back yard. The dogs didn't get much time at all to take care of business. She could have at least left 2 dogs out back while she walked the third, but she didn't. The 'play time' she talked about didn't happen. 3. I got an odd text message asking if someone else was watching the dogs. Nobody else had been to the house. She confused a dog moving around the bed covers with someone coming in & changing the blankets. Whaa? 4. One dog ripped into a box of brillo pads which she moved out of reach, but no text message about that one. 5. The water bowl was dry on our return, 2 hours after her final visit. The dogs were very, very thirsty. Two weeks later, still no follow-up call from the office to see how things went. Imagine my surprise. read more

BUYER BEWARE! THEY WILL ROB YOU. Trust them to care for your pets, and give them a key to your home and they will rob you. We just moved into the area and were recommended Pet Pleasers by a friend who has used them for years. I got a quick response from the company, which immediately assigned a sitter to us. The orientation was quick and seamless, and our first visits went very smoothly - she got everything spot on and left the house just as we had before we went out of town. TERRIBLE attitude. I have tried this company quite a few times. First, a lot of paperwork is signed, fees discussed, etc... The pet sitter that was assigned to me had lukewarm attitude in the beginning and I just lived with it. Lukewarm went south fast to downright grouchy. Then all of a sudden "extra fees" were coming up that weren't told to me before such as a "mid day" extra charge and a "weekend" charge". Paying them was a lot of trouble as well. I'd leave cash for the pet sitter to take with a big note on top of my pets food to take the money. The sitter would move the note and the money to get to the pet food, feed the pet and leave the money. So, I'd have to take the time to write a check and mail it to them for a one time let out. Geez. What really took the cake was I then had an emergency and had to be away longer than I expected one day. I emailed a request in at noon for a visit that evening (because calling or texting meant you got yelled at by the 'witchy sitter)- only to be told off that I wasn't able to do that. I guess should plan my emergencies better next time. What good is a pet service if you can't count on them? They SUCK with a capital "S". I would encourage you to find another service. ANY other service. This was a terrible experience. I have had other pet services when I lived in other parts of town and they were always a delight. I'm sure there has got to be someone in my part of town that is better that this. They haven't set the bar very high. read more

I have used Pet Pleasers for years while on vacation or out of town on business. I'm don't know about some of their other sitters - we always ask for Alexis, who not only feeds the kitties and takes care of the litter box, dry food and water, but also plays with them. She also is great about phoning my cell number a couple of times while we're gone just to leave nice messages about how great they're doing and how sweet they are. She takes great care of our cats, is easily reached with any questions, and quickly responds to our calls to schedule service. I had used this company for the last 8 years. Requested service back in January only to be informed less than 2 weeks prior to my trip, and only after I had sent a follow-up email; was notified that there would not be a sitter available for the time that I requested service. This company is totally unprofessional and obviously take no pride in providing customer service. read more

Terrible experience. Would never use again or recommend to my worst enemy. I left 3 dogs 2 older and one younger (and admittedly rambunctious, and crated dog) for a week. The sitter said she was going to come by 4 times a day and I have serious doubts that this happened. My two older dogs are left at home alone several times a week while I work 12 hour shifts and NEVER pee in the house. There was evidence that they had both peed in the house several times which should be impossible if she had been coming by 4 times a day like I paid for. The youngest dog was traumatized more than I have ever seen and it took me 2 days to calm him down. I had to buy a carpet shampooer and shampoo the upstairs and downstairs carpets. Not the way you want to spend the day between vacation and going back to work. I had to ask several times to get my key back. Overall bad experience. Will never use this service again. read more
