The Long Version: My husband and I love Farmers' Markets and since the Parkdale Farmers' Market is within walking distance for us, we go often. This year (2025) we noticed a new vendor: Tito Leo's BBQ. So we had to check it out. We got a small chicken BBQ platter with half rice and half fries ($10 taxes included). The rice is Java rice, which is rice cooked in chicken broth and turmeric. It was good and more exciting than just plain white rice. The fries were shoestring fries, my favourite cut. The chicken was chopped up BBQ chicken layered on top of the rice and fries. A tangy BBQ sauce was poured over everything. The chicken was tender and moist. I would have preferred less BBQ sauce because the dish was a little too saucy for my liking, but overall I still really enjoyed it. My husband liked it too. Service was courteous and efficient. They have a few private tables in front of their kiosk, but there's the main seating for the market too if those tables are occupied. There's also picnic tables at Parkdale Park right next to the market. We were lucky to score one of the private tables. There are a few parking spots at The Parkdale Farmers' Market.
