I mean you can't go to Brussels without hitting the Smurf store! It's located close to the Grand Palace and is easily accessible. As a teenager in the 80s I had quite the collection of Smurfs and of course I had to buy some on this journey. This is totally a touristy thing to do and I do t even care. No shame. I loved every minute of it. I have a friend who lived in Brussels and took her daughter there weekly to shop. So the locals love it too. Anyway, like any collectible store they have everything from figures and shirts to statues and more. The museum is also a must-visit for any fan. If you're in Brussels, check it out. read more

Cute little shop in Brussels, but the true star here is the giant Smurf statue outside! It's a massive unpainted statue that sits in a small courtyard that contains the Smurf Store/Museum, other shops, and a few restaurants. Fun store in Brussels. If you grew up in the 80's watching the Smurfs, then you should know that the Kingdom of Belgium is the home to the cartoon Smurfs. Fans of the little blue creatures will find all kinds of goodies here. A bit too expensive for my taste, and I'm not a big collector, but it's still fun to visit. They have all kinds of Smurf products that are already on the market such as toys, outfits, watches and figurines. A Smurf statue nearly five metres high shows visitors the way to the store and to its host, the Museum of Original Figurines. If you have nothing better to do, It might be worth a visit! I actually saw this store before I went to the Moof museum, the store was right next to the museum. But I did come here for the museum, so I went there first and it was pretty cool museum. After visited the museum, I decided to go in have a look. It was quite a little wonderland, full of cool and well-made stuff of Smurfs. I saw some figures, postcard, toys, T-shirts and so on. The price was ok, I did find something quite expensive, but I guess if someone was the truly fan of Smurfs, it wouldn't be a problem. Although I am not a fan of this, it was quite nice to have a store like to shop. Especially, after the visit of the museum, the gift shop inside the museum was ok size, just not many gifts of Smurfs you could get, I guess they did moved all of them the store. The other good thing of this was people could just go into the store directly, without passing the museum. In front of the store, there was a very big and cool looking statue of Smurfs, quite nice place to visitors to make some pics for memories. read more
