Pretty awesome toy store! I was looking for a European hand crafted wood toy as a gift for my baby boy, and The Grasshopper had a pretty good selection. They had plenty of toys for all ages, and they carried many toys which you could not find at a boutique toy store back home in the States. The staff working there were very courteous. They even hand wrapped my purchase to give it that special touch (which reminded me of 5 Monkeys Toy Store back home). read more

A very lovely toy store with plenty to choose from and marvel at. The selection of games and toys is exhaustive as well as original. I was only going there to find playing cards, nothing very fancy, but it was really hard to leave without something else. As my past Christmas shopping was not allowing me to exceed the cards budget, I stuck to it, but almost got myself little playing figurines, dice and magnets. This is by far the greatest toy store I've ever been to! It's like Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.

You will not find many of these toys elsewhere. It is a beautiful toy store. This is one your mother would love. Worth the visit. I feel compelled to buy something just so places like this can continue to exist. read more

The staff is amazingly rude. I was there today with my 7 month old child in the buggy, asked for a certain toy and the lady at the cashier replied it was upstairs. Since i had a buggy and there was no lift i asked if she could bring the toy down. Instead she invited me to go upstairs indicating a space to leave the buggy and adding: " MADAM, THIS IS NOT A CRECHE". I obviously left the shop without my toy thanking for her kindness. I suggest a bit of training on basic rules of behaviour, maybe it's needed since the shop was empty. read more
