It was my first time doing…read moresomething like this, so I researched and received quotes from similar companies who also did car shipment. Most were by train, and their quotes were about $300-500 less, but the thing about transportation by train is they won't allow you to store anything in the car during shipment, other than car seats and tires. Since I had other belongings to transport, this would save me money and time overall (as well as convenience). The quote I received was honoured, I paid just under $2100. They allow 150 lbs of items in the car, which is plenty (I weighed everything). You can't put anything in the front seats and there has to be enough room for the front seats to be pushed all the way back as well. This was not an issue for me because I have a hatchback with plenty of storage space, but I see how this could be difficult to maximize if you had a sedan or coupe. You have to ask for this, but I was able to pay them half prior to drop off and the second half of the payment a day or two prior to expected delivery. I chose e-transfer to avoid the additional fee for payments by credit card. They estimated that it would take 7-14 days to arrive, which was fine, because I had kind of put off this until last minute. They ended up taking only 7 days, which worked perfectly for me. Drop off was in Richmond. One thing is that they wanted my car to be dropped off by Wednesday, but they did not end up picking up the car until Friday. I wish they had given a better estimate of when they'd require my car, so I could use my car for 2 more days and not have to rush to pack everything. But I get that shipment schedules don't always go as planned, and they wanted the car ready for pickup when they got there. Note that if you want a residential delivery, there is a $200 extra surcharge. You will have to coordinate somewhere in the city (a commercial location) for drop off in Ottawa, because they don't have a terminal there. Prior to booking, I did most of the correspondence via email. Kim responded quickly, answering all my questions. I found that after I had paid half, booked, I would get a less timely response to emails, or none at all. When I called during regular business hours, selecting various options, it went to voicemail. This was after I had fully paid. It was like when they needed me to pay, they'd reach out right away, but after that, it felt like my emails were less important. Also, once I was called "Samantha" in the email which was confusing. However, wasn't a big deal because I got the information in the end. Otherwise, overall, I would recommend this service. I'm very happy with the speed they delivered my car. Not only did they get my car over faster than a train would have, I was also able to move all my belongings as well. I'd definitely use their service again.

It looked like someone had eaten their lunch in our car and thrown their garbage all over the front passenger seat. Also the car was coated in a thick layer of dirt when it arrived. But the real kicker was that they broke our parking brake during transport - it cost almost $300 to repair and they rejected our claim to have the cost reimbursed. Apparently they will only consider reimbursing damage done to the exterior of the car (eg dents/scartches) but they will not reimburse you for any damage that they do to the mechanical/electrical system - which includes all of the important stuff like brakes, engine, etc. Very frightening! Don't use this company!!!

would have given a zero star ..mainly because i hired these guys to transport my Low Mileage 1989…read moreMustang which was painted 6 months prior and has been in storage since being painted well the driver was late 6 hours for pick up and when i went to pick up the car 7 days later as i live on Vancouver Island it was majorly damaged paint scrapes all over the car ..well i got to the bottom of it talking to the manager Jai he told me after talking to his driver that the hood had some how opened during transport ..after the car was secured for transport . The Driver failed to inform the manager or even me for that matter of the accident when he discovered the damages ..and also caused more damage to the paint by strapping tie downs across the car . I was moving from Vancouver to Calgary and wanted my car (Lexus) shipped. I phoned Rocket Auto Hauler and spoke to Jacob and he said there was no problem. Gave them a least a month notice. Jacob ensure me that they will have my car picked up on the day that I requested. I asked for a updated quote for my car to be picked up instead of my dropping it off at their depot. Jacob confirmed that he would get Miaria to send my the updated qoute. Of course no updated qoute. Contacted him numerous of times and no responds. Closer to the date, I phoned, texted, and left messages for Jacob to confirm. Received no reply. On the date that Rocket Auto Hauler was to come to pick up my car, I try to phone again to confirm and left messages. They were a NO SHOW!!!! GOOD THING I DIDNT PREPAID!!!!! It was bad enough that I was stressed from the move, and I didnt need this to add to my plate. IF YOU NEED YOUR CAR SHIPPED, PLEASE DONT USE ROCKET HAULERS!!
