I am NEVER going back to this location. Here we go again with these people buying franchises in our neighborhoods and not having the basic customer service they demand when they go to an establishment. I walked in with no one saying hello or anything. Then I stand there and there still is nothing said. Unfortunately, my daughter did an online order, so I could not just leave. I ordered two bowls, one for each of my daughters. Our server made sure that my daughter had an opportunity to sample the granola (she had excluded granola, strawberries , and blueberries from her bowl). She ended up changing her mind about the granola, and added the strawberries and blueberries, too!) My other daughter asked for a sample, and she, too was able to get a sample of granola. I normally go to the Waldorf location and several times I come to this location I asked for two large gladiators and we all know large is the 40 ounce I've never had any problems, but today I requested the same order I always place and the girl gives me the 32 ounce medium and she argues with me telling me that a large is the 32 ounce that if I don't like it she's gonna have to re-ring me up after she already did my order she's like well there's nothing I can do with her attitude I've never had any problems but it seems like they're not listening when they're taking orders I pay $22 for this order I drive a long way to get my order. And with PG County being the "most affluent black demographic in the US", 'we' must present accordingly! The customer service was horrendous. The two young men were somewhat polite & timely, only positives. I verified my order three times. Twice when I ordered, once after I got the receipt & it wasn't what I said. This used to be a really decent Smoothie King location but over the past year it's really become a painful experience. I come her once a week from the gym and every week the service sucks and the smoothies take forev. It's a lot of younger people working here and they regularly have inappropriate personal convos while guests are there and are more focused on each other than getting smoothies made. I really shouldn't have to wait 20 minutes for a smoothie with only 3 people in the place and staff sitting around. I get it, I was young and in the service industry and looking back I didn't always do what I was supposed to but there's some basic service courtesies that are missing here. To top it off, the smoothies aren't even that good. They taste different every time and often taste like an ingredient is missing. And usually they come under blended. Poor customer service, they "forgot" to have cash in the cash drawer and were watching a basketball game on a laptop behind the counter. The cashier told me she didn't know if they had change when I attempted to pay with cash. When I asked her to look, she confirmed they didn't have cash that day. Smoothie Kings are popping up everywhere in P.G. County mostly near fitness clubs. Previously, I would pop into the SK in the Bowie Town Ctr until this Watkins Park location opened. It is conveniently located right down the street from my church and en route when I go into the office. I like this chain because there are soooooo many good options & enhancements to customize your blend beyond fruit with varying levels of sugar. You can add an energy boost, fiber, super grains, muscle builders, probiotics, etc. Smoothie King has a greater overarching purpose which is to inspire everyone to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I like that. Personal desires like firming up, slimming down, or feeling better can be satisfied as well. They're not in the business to simply provide you with a tasty (but unhealthy) sugary drink. Their Healthy Rewards program is effective because it doesn't take many trips to earn a reward. Most often, I get a small matcha green tea meal replacement smoothie. In only 2 visits, I've earned enough for a reward. For every $10 spent, you earn 1000 points and a reward which can be used immediately or saved for later. SN: I've visited this location about 5-6x now and the staff never mentioned the rewards program. We finally inquired about promotions and the response was download the app. I would like to see them engage customers about the program and actually ask if you're a member before ringing & sending you on your way... read more

I came to this location to pick up an order and a young black man was behind the counter. I told him my name and he put the drinks on the counter. I asked him if I could have a carrier and he threw it down next to the drinks. I then asked him if he could put the drinks in the carrier. He told me he was busy and couldn't do it. He said I have hands and I could put it together myself. I asked him his name and he ignored me. He continued to disrespect me. There were other people inside who heard his disrespect towards me as walked out and said they would never go back there to support their business. Came here to this location to grab a peanut power plus smoothie with substitute almond milk. If I could give this business but more specifically this location a -1000 rating I would. They put literal garbage in my drink.... I ordered a bulking smoothie because of the caloric surplus to get me through my really busy mornings and somehow there are metal coils and wires in my smoothie....It's not even possible to have put that in the blender so the fact that there's a full sized solid metal coil the size of my hand hidden in this drink means it was put in there just because. On top of that none of the workers are supervised and they all give the customers their butts to kiss service wise. There is no number to call to have someone properly handle this and me "sending feedback" through an email won't fix or rectify the situation. It's actually a safety concern for ppl that are naive to what the workers are putting in their drinks and ppl should NOT be ordering from here. This is one of the worst grab-an-go experiences I've ever had! My husband and I dropped in after a workout on Friday. When we walked in, no one was ahead of us in line. There was only one worker out (the other two were in the back-kitchen). We placed our order and prepared to wait a few minutes for our smoothies. A TON of people came in after us (gradually).ong story short, it took us 11 minutes to receive our smoothies. Keep in mind, we walked in and NO ONE WAS IN THERE. So why did it take so long? As if that wasn't bad enough, someone who ordered after us (2 smoothies) was given their smoothies before us. And even worse than that... the smoothies were TERRIBLE! I'm not sure if they were just rushing because the line became overwhelming but... terrible. I'd rather go the distance to the Bowie location than to ever go to this location again. read more

I don't know whether to give them a 3 or 4 stars. I definitely wouldn't give them a 5 because like the other Smoothie King locations nearby (Watkins Park & Bowie TC) they tend to run a little slow. Now I don't mean slow in starting and finishing necessarily, I think it's a combination of things. One is more talking than working at this location and two the order in how they make their smoothies. For instance, it's been quite a few times that I've received my order after the person behind me and we've ordered the same of amount of smoothies if not just one. The music is always good and it's always CLEAN! Cleanliness is major for me. I will walk out of a restaurant with the quickness if it's dirty and even faster if there's no water. The smoothie was fresh made to order. The cashier I'm sorry I didn't get her name she was not dark skin but not light brown either short hair cut was vet polite. She was very helpful and patient because I changed my order a couple of times and had so many questions even though the menu is self explanatory. She gave me her recommendation and that's what I had. I enjoyed my smoothie, lemon ginger although the store was out of ginger so I substituted it for banana. The menu is overwhelming and I find busy. Overall, the smoothies taste great but a little pricey. I only go into the store on Friday's to get a $5.00 smoothie. I had a really bad experience here and was told several times that a smoothie the manager selected incorrectly could not be remade due to waste despite me telling him that just days ago I watched the same associate in the store remake a male customers smoothie three times or more due to errors. The manager at this location, Nigel, could seriously stand to learn a thing or two about his treatment of women who visit the store. I was fortunate to have been able to contact an owner who (while working with Hermina (sp) who is very professional) rectified the situation. Probably won't be back. The worst part about this, is that it is right next to our gym. We came in for the first time and had a great experience. We returned two days later, after the gym, and it could not have been any worse. First, we found out that the same smoothie we ordered two days before we were over charged or the second time we were incorrectly told if it was a MR or not. Second, they didn't ask for our name and when the orders were ready they were just shouting out the type of smoothie. Leaving multiple people wondering if that was their order or not. When we questioned the gentleman, he gave us a nasty attitude about it. Another lady was complaining because she was there before us and didn't get her smoothie until after we left. This location is the absolute worst--terrible customer service. If I could give a 0 rating, I most certainly would. The young man took my order without providing me with a receipt. I advised the young man that I would like my receipt and his response was, "it's not coming out. " He then asked a female coworker for assistance. His coworker advised that the receipt paper ran out and he needed to replace it. The young man attempted to replace the receipt but failed because he couldn't load it properly. His coworker then loaded it for him. I asked for my receipt a second time. The female coworker said, "I don't think it's going to come out now since the paper ran out before you ordered." Ten minutes later, the young man started making my smoothie. While preparing my smoothie, he disappeared into the back room. Another 10 minutes later, he clocked out without finishing my smoothie. The female coworker asked me, "Did you get your smoothie yet" I replied, "No, ma'am." She then looked around and realized my smoothie was left unfinished in the blender. At this point, I just wanted a refund but couldn't get one since they didn't give me a receipt. After approximately 25 minutes, I finally got my smoothie, which was disgusting.
