10/1/2025 ~8:30p A little disappointed bc I placed an order for two 44oz, but when I got there the lady had made two 32oz instead. When I explained to her, she checked the receipt and realized her mistake then remade my drinks, which is fine bc mistakes happen! But when she handed me my drinks, i noticed she shorted me for one of the drinks.. I even saw her scraping the last bit from the blender into the cup, clearly aware it wasn't enough, but she didn't address it or offer to top it off. After waiting extra time for the corrected order, it felt frustrating to be shorted again. All I'm saying is if I'm promised a size, it shouldn't come up short, especially after a mistake was already fixed. The reason for the five stars is because this place is usually very good to me. Terrible Customer Service - Never Again I visited Smoothie King for the first (and last) time after a workout, hoping for a quick protein shake to raise my glucose levels as I am diabetic. Instead, I waited 15 minutes for my order while another customer who ordered after me was served first. When I inquired about the delay, I was told they had forgotten my order due to a mix-up. To top it off the two employees were laughing. Frustrated, I requested a refund, but the teenage employee said he had to call the manager--who wasn't even present. When I questioned why, he had no answer and insisted he couldn't process the refund. I told him that I would call the police. He called the manager, who asked to speak to me, I explained what had happened. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns, he asked for my name and number, which I refused to give. He then dismissed me, told me to "call the police," and yelled at me when I pointed out the extra time and his unsanitary food-handling practices. They didn't have on gloves while handling fruits. A business should empower its staff to handle refunds when service fails. Additionally, kindness and professionalism should be basic expectations in customer service. Unfortunately, this location failed on all fronts. I won't be returning, and I hope they take steps to retrain their staff and improve their policies. Needless to say, I was not refunded my money and I declined to wait another minute for a now 20 minutes. Smoothie King will never get my hard-earned money. I left and came back to tell them that they were wrong and that I would share my experience so others are aware of their no-refund in-person policy. read more

No complaints at all smoothing king is a good franchise. I came here to get a good high-protein shake. 45g of protein is pretty good. I notice they have also implemented coffee into the smoothies as an option. Since most of the world is so addicted to it including me I decided to add that as well. The shake was great! And as I come in i immediately felt like a guest there, the place felt so heartwarming! I love coming here in the mornings before class, the employees are super sweet and attentive. They're always patient with me because I never have any idea what to order and they recommend smoothies and different things they can do to make them better. I absolutely love this location, I have never had a bad smoothie from here. By far my favorite smoothie place. Use to go here all the time as the chain was popular in my old home state of Utah. Glad to see it spreading a little more here in VA. They have lots of great stuff and do not taste processed as I feel many other smoothie places do. I also am I big fan of their gladiator protein that they sell in bulk. It lasts a long time, is very low cal low carb and low sugar with high protein content. Some of the best protein I have been able to find. Very friendly service in here. I don't give very many 5s, but Smoothie King deserves it for many reasons. They have many meal replacement shakes options, in which 3 use Sun Warrior Vegan protein. I have that brand at home, since I don't tolerate whey very well. They got rid of all soy on their menu as well. They don't add extra sugar unless it's mentioned and it's Turninado when they do. You can always decline it as well. Their medium is ginormous, and on Fridays it's $5.00. On fact I'm drinking my Mango Kale Vegan Meal Replacement right now. Dinner served! I actually like that they don't have all the food options like Tropical. Hence, Smoothie King and no need for sandwiches and wraps when the have multiple MR smoothies. This is my second time at a Smoothie King and I would definitely recommend this place for those smoothie lovers. It has a lot more variety than Tropical Smoothie (where I typically go) but it is a little pricer. They do however have awesome deals on certain days. For example, Fridays their smoothies are $5. They also have a reward point app with a free $2 off your first smoothie coupon. This particular location was really neat and clean. The two times that I have gone I've had a pleasant experience. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They are pretty fast in making the smoothies but then again I do come somewhat early so it's not really busy. We've been noticing the decline of our smoothies since the arrival of new staff. Today, I ordered a mango strawberry recharge. When my drink order was called, she said it was a mango recharge. I said that I ordered the mango strawberry and she insisted that it was just that. However, I do not taste any strawberry in my drink. Woo-hoo!!! Finally, a smoothie joint on my side of Manassas! I love Smoothie King. They have a fantastic variety of options ranging from meal replacements, all veggies, all fruits and dessert types with things like added chocolate! I am a sucker for the Berry Carrot Dream which is a combo of carrots, orange and apple juice and strawberries. The menu version calls for bananas also, if you know me, you know that me and bananas are like vampires and garlic - so I always ask for it without. They people there have caught on to my anti banana campaign, so my last trip in they asked if I would like to substitute something for the evil fruit I hate, we decided that pineapple would be a good addition ... and it was. It was delicious! The only thing that I don't love about Smoothie King is the lack of food options. Compared to Tropical Smoothie Café who carries salads and wraps. It would be nice if they had a few options for those times when you don't want to make two stops, but I do fully understand that they are a smoothie place and focus on what they do best. I could hear there was some confusion going on behind the counter but didn't know it was about my smoothie. Come to find out, the cashier had accidentally charged me for "extra protein" instead of marking "no protein." I hadn't taken my receipt so I wasn't aware of this mistake. The guy making the smoothies handed me mine and told me what had happened and asked if I'd mind waiting a minute while they arranged to give me back my money for the extra charge. I had no idea I had over paid so their honesty was greatly appreciated. They ended up fully refunding me for today's smoothie and gave me a gift card for a free one on my next visit!
