This SMOOTHIE KING location displayed absolutely HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This occurred yesterday, February 24, 2025. I was not the customer, but was on the phone with the customer when SMOOTHIE KING displayed their TERRIBLE, subpar customer service. First, let me introduce the customer. She is an ANGEL. She is a community health care worker who serves her clients, all of whom (including my family member) suffer from Sickle Cell Disease! I believe most of her clients are adults, like my family member. It is prob. not known, but it is very difficult, almost impossible, locating services for adult Sickle Cell Disease sufferers. I will say it again, she is an ANGEL! This is what happened to this beautiful human being. She ordered a bowl from this SMOOTHIE KING for Door Dash delivery. It was NOT in a bag when it was packed and left this SMOOTHIE KING. A receipt was attached to the bowl (still unbagged) and was successfully delivered. As this blessed child started to eat the bowl, she found a hair in her food! Gross. She stopped eating and called this SMOOTHIE KING. Their response to her was outrageous! First, the young woman who answered the phone at this SMOOTHIE KING challenged this Saint. She asked her to describe the hair... color,etc. Can you believe that! When our hero told the employee it was a strand(s) of black hair, that SMOOTHIE KING employee told this Angel that no employee had black hair, and that to get a refund or replacement she would have to go into this SMOOTHIE KING and present a proper paper receipt. When this Saint explained again that it was a Door Dash delivery order and all she had was the "receipt" that was attached to the bowl and her digital receipt and order info on her phone. The employee told her that they could not assist her if she did not have a paper receipt. When this wonderful woman asked to speak with a manager, she was informed the manager had left. Now, this was after another employee had taken the phone and first, slipped up and divulged that there was at least one employee in the store with blue and black hair! This second employee also had spoken with the manager so that this divine woman could hear her through the phone (again, after another employee said the manager was gone). After much time had passed going back and forth -- there were no raised voices or crude language on either side, one of this SMOOTHIE KING'S employees told her "No," this SMOOTHIE KING would not give her a refund or replacement unless she came in with a non-existent paper receipt. When this fabulous woman finally threw in the towel with the employees and manager at this SMOOTHIE KING, she asked for Corporate's phone number. She was told that the employee really didn't know Corporate's number, but that this sweet flower could GOOGLE it (to find Corporate's number)! It is unbelievable! If you expect good customer service - don't go to this SMOOTHIE KING! I live in DC and will never step foot in any SMOOTHIE KING! I went to this location on my lunch break and was shocked by the quality. They're mixing the açaí with water, and when it's not fully frozen it turns into a watery, liquid mess. I asked them to scoop it directly from the container to avoid the watery texture, but they refused--and wouldn't offer a refund. I left without my order and felt like I was basically refused service. 7.16.20: After running in the heat, I was thrilled to discover a smoothie place in downtown Macon. Considering Navicent Medical Center Hospital is right there, this must be a booming location, yet not registered on Yelp. Hmmm...registered it! COVID19 SAFETY: Store does not require patrons to wear masks but employees wear masks. Sign on front door asks people to social distance by six feet. I wore my mask & saw one person come in w/ a mask & another one without. Great option to order online & they will bring it out to you. I was a newbie to this particular smoothie franchise, so tried to speed read their extensive menu. It's arranged in four categories or "Blends:" Break Time, Fitness, Slim and Wellness. My goal was to get a substitute for lunch + post workout treat: lots of protein, low in sugar. Their most popular item is the Break Time Blend flavor, Angel. A small/20 ounce Angel contains 84 grams of carbs (70 grams sugar from strawberries/bananas) & only 5 grams of protein. Not my first pick - maybe dessert on the next go round I chose the "Slim" Blend, a small/20 ounce Greek Yogurt Strawberry-Banana with an Immune Support Enhancer. That choice provided 14 grams of protein but 54 grams of carbs (40 grams of which are sugar). It was a little too sweet, but overall refreshing in the 93 degrees + humidity weather. Later I went to their web site & based on their cool little quiz, I saw what my best option for high protein/low sugar would have been: 1. HIIT Fit Chocolate Cinnamon (Paleo Protein Enhancer, almond butter, cocoa, bananas, dates, almond milk) with a whopping 30 grams of protein + 44 grams of carbs (only 20 of those are sugar). Sounds like my kind of smoothie. On my next visit, I'll try this yummy/healthy one. P.S. Love going online to learn how to customize your drink with their variety of ingredients, like Macha Powder, Probiotics, Whey Protein, etc. So many choices! read more

DISGUSTING! Please use filtered water/purified water or spring water in your smoothies instead of using regular tap water from the sink! I can definitely taste the sink taste in my smoothie. Gross! This has to stop. Please tell management to stop being cheap and put a filter on that sink. I will not be paying high prices for a smoothie with tap water. read more
