I ordered a 40 oz strawberry blueberry activator smoothie today with protein scoop and it was the perfect amount of sweetness, tart, and healthiness! This location always make it super fresh. This is our local Smoothie place and the perfect place to get something cool and delicious during the hot Houston afternoons. During this time period, we are so happy they stayed open to serve the Post Oak/Galleria area. The Owner and Tracy are are always helpful and serve you with a smile on their face. Our favorite smoothie is the Veggie smoothie. It got to the point we were coming every day for a week because we loved the way they made them. BTW, the smoothie is jam packed with spinach, kale, ginger, apples and lots of other good stuff. Try it, you'll be addicted. If you're in a hurry like we are, use the app and drive right up to their VIP parking space right in front of the shop. I was not greeted when I walked in. Its surprising because I was the only one in the store. She also did not suggest any smoothie while I decided what to order. Once I paid left the store drove tasted the smoothie and it was disgusting. Since I make smoothies at home you can tell by the smell and taste that the kale and spinach was old. I noticed many of the negative reviews were about 1 or more years ago, so I'm assuming there's been new management since then. I recently started going to this location as it's walking distance from work and the employees have been nothing, but great. They definitely work with you, which makes this location so great. The first time I came to this location was around lunch time and there was absolutely 0 parking except for their store next door's reserved parking space. I told the guy at the counter about how crazy the traffic/parking was and he informed me about curb-side pickup, and delivery. If you don't want to bother with San Felipe traffic, they do deliver and it's very inexpensive. Especially if you do a group order with coworkers, etc. The parking around lunch time is awful, so you are forewarned. However, since the workers are so helpful, you can call them beforehand and someone will be in the parking lot with your order, able to take payment. I called this morning while on Post Oak, just passing Astoria, to place my order for $5 Friday and once I got there, I was out the door in less than 2 minutes. Be sure to download the app too if you haven't already. I had the old app and when I updated to the new one, I had 2 rewards waiting on me. Oh my goodness! What a bad experience did I have this morning. I've never been to this location before, but I had an appointment at Salon Vendome right next door to them and had 15 minutes to kill before my appointment. There was only one employee working. He was not familiar with the drinks. When I received my drink, the cup was dripping a substance that was not even close to the color of the shake I ordered. I noticed this as I was going out so I returned and requested a napkin as there were none next to the straws. The attendant told me that he had to go get them. He first finished preparing the next smoothly as I stood there. He then went to the back (not sure where) and returned saying that they were out of napkins. Other customers and I exchanged an unforgettable expression. How can a restaurant run out of napkins?! Gross..... I went outside and couldn't have my drink as it felt unclean. What's going on? My husband picked up 2 small Lean 1 shakes tonight (chocolate with peanut butter). He brought them home. The shakes were icy, like runny slushes--not good texture. We go to other SKs where we pick up nicer shakes--rich and thick. Of course, we drank them, but this was not a good experience. Please fix this issue.
