I went to Smoothie King to pick up Greek Banana Bowls for myself and my mom, who had just had surgery. Instead of getting what I ordered, I was given something completely different. To make matters worse, I ended up paying almost twice what I normally would have for the order. When I pointed out to the employee that this wasn't what I had ordered, she argued with me instead of trying to fix the mistake. Her attitude was basically, "too bad," and there was no attempt to correct the order or provide any kind of customer service. The entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Between receiving the wrong order, paying significantly more than expected, and being treated so poorly, I won't be returning to this location. Customer service and accountability matter, and unfortunately, this place showed neither. read more

First, I'm a big time Smoothie King fan and have always enjoyed stopping at the Gainesville GA store ... but recently ... time before last my Angle Fllod, large, just wasn't as sweet as usual, almost unsweet, but I was on my way home so I lived with It. But my visit two days ago left me disappointed. Walking in I noticed an unpleasant smell, an odor. It smelt "old", not clean. There was what appeared to be trash in plain sight. The attendant who took my order was dour, lethargic, disinterested. I did not feel welcomed as usual. My smoothie was great tasting but it bit "icy", almost crunchy. Looking at the counter preperation surfaces I could see the entire length was messy, splashed with ingredients. Stopped in for a sweet treat on the way home from a cousins weekend. We are vegan and had the mango, spinach and the pineapple spinach vegan treats which were fabulous! The service was good, fast and friendly. The facility was clean and had easy access. We also bought the dark chocolate banana bites and they were awesome! I will def. I enjoy a smoothie, most of the time it comes out as it should. I order the same thing all the time. The last three times we have been my Smoothie dries out with ice still in the cup. These cost too much to not be happy with them. I am not sure why they do not turn out the same every time. It's a formula. It must be lack of training. read more

It might be a placebo effect (okay, it's probably a placebo effect), but when I'm sick or coming down with a cold, smoothies and fresh fruit and veggie juices perk me right back up. Smoothie King is more chemical laden and processed than my typical Arden's Garden or Rawesome Juicery selections, but in a pinch, it does just fine. I recommend the immune booster smoothie when you're feeling under the weather, as it comes laden with an extra shot of echinacea to banish sniffles and sore throats. Ask for your smoothie "skinny" to have the added sugar (fancifully described on the menu as a "turbinado shot") left out. This move will also save you about a hundred calories per drink, making a smoothie here a reasonably healthful indulgence. The store was manned with only a single staffer when I arrived around 8am, but as I was the only customer, it didn't inhibit the speed at which my order was taken, drink made, and payment processed (and yes, they handle those steps in that order). All in all, an a-ok spot to get some frozen, fruity goodness. read more

My server was nice and even though my smoothie tasted nothing like it's 'culinary name' it was very tasty. I did exempt an ingredient that probably gave it it's name. My past few experiences were met with ho-hum service, upon feeling rushed to order. My server this time was informational and willing to answer my questions unlike in the past (dairy or sugar questions) I know, it's just a smoothie - fruit and ice, but you would be surprised that it's possible to receive a less than par smoothie. I'm super disappointed in regards to how Smoothie King is handling everything that's going on in the world right now. They're still allowing people to come into the restaurant to place orders and haven't gone strictly to curbside take out. As I drove by today before potentially placing a curb side order, there were about 12 people inside all waiting for orders. No one had on masks or anything. Had my first and only bad experience at a Smoothie King here. The guy behind the counter couldn't be bothered to take my order and I stood there for 5 minutes waiting for him to wash a blender. He looked at me as I walked in and never said a word. A woman finished her cigarette outside the store and came in, hovered around next to me, and the guy behind the counter looked at her and said "welcome to Smoothie King. What can I help you with".
