The restaurant was busy, which I foolishly interpreted as a sign that people enjoy eating there. As a couple, we spent around $50 and immediately regretted... not ordering more brisket. I was genuinely offended by how quickly it disappeared. The sauces were terrible if your goal is choosing just one. I kept going back for "one more taste" until I had sampled all of them multiple times. Now the food... Lord, the brisket. Moist, smoky, and somehow the complete opposite of everything I was warned about. The mac and cheese was great, the baked beans were great, and the sweet potato crunch actually had crunch. But my friend had been raving about it, and I love BBQ, so I figured it had to be worth it. It wasn't. For three people, we dropped around $70, and I immediately regretted not choosing somewhere else. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly, and I liked the idea of pork rinds as a table snack, plus the multiple BBQ sauces available. Unfortunately, most of the sauces were awful--I could barely tolerate one. Now the food... Lord, the brisket. I've never had brisket so dry in my life. It was dry-dry-dry. I was genuinely offended. When our server asked how everything was, I clenched my teeth and said it was fine, but truthfully I wanted to ask for a refund. I just didn't have the energy to argue. The sides didn't help either. The baked mac and cheese was bland, the Jalapeño Cheddar Grits had zero heat (or jalapeño flavor), and the Sweet Potato Crunch had more mush than crunch with an odd texture that didn't work. The Smoking Pig in Easley has some really great food. It's really good. But it's also very expensive. And that is not a problem really, it's the mandatory tips you have to pay. I always tip when we go out to eat inside a restaurant. Not while going through a drive thru! You shouldn't have to tip just for someone to hand you your food out of a window. And this mandatory tip in the drive thru is multiple choice so the amount isn't even up to you really. I ask for the total when I called it in. What if that amount I was told over the phone was all I had? Would I not have gotten my food because I couldn't pay the tip? It's ridiculous. It's like giving out participation trophies. I don't like it. You shouldn't have to tip going through a drive thru unless you want to. read more

Very good potato salad! Okra was soft but flavorful, brisket was kinda dry but delicious with their homemade sauces. You get free pork rinds when you eat inn. Service was good. Went to dinner with family and decided on Smokin Pig. My wife and I both got the brisket sandwich. It was very good! Some of the best we've had. We also got the banana pudding and it was really good. This was the first time eating here and we definitely recommend the Smokin Pig! The only thing I thought was odd they don't give an itemized receipt that shows food and cost together. After you pay at the register before eating they give you the receipt that only show the cost and recommend tip percentages. They tell you to take the receipt to the table and sign it there for the waitress. After I noticed it didn't show itemized I asked the waitress for an itemized receipt and she brought me the same copy of receipt the cashier originally gave me. They don't give itemized receipts. The receipt they give just shows final cost and recommended tips but no tax so it's hard to know how to correctly tip.... We always tip off the actual food cost and not the grand total with tax and service fees (just a habit when I was working with a company credit card that was their policy). read more

My girlfriend and I usually make a weekly 1.5 hour round-trip drive here every Saturday, and it's the best BBQ I've had in my life. The dry rub ribs are phenomenal and so tender that I've had the bones slide out just from the drive home, the sauces are great, and the sides are incredible. The only complaint I've had in the last 3 years is that they are only open 3 days a week, because I'd eat there on Mondays and Wednesdays as well! This place was ranked top 69th best BBQ in the ENTIRE country for a good reason. However, Every employee that's ever existed has had a bad day where they can't put on their customer service face, bow down, kiss the customers hand, and speak to them the way they feel like royalty, but you have no way of knowing what they've delt with previously throughout the day and they're human, just like everyone else that's ever had a job.. The glazed ribs are a bit tough, but that's because they get smoked dry and glazed when theyre almost done, as opposed to the dry rub being put on the rack before the smoking starts. No other BBQ in the upstate even comes close, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone regardless of the drive length, it's worth it. read more

They have a drive up window which was nice and convenient. I ordered the one meat platter with sliced brisket, coleslaw, and rebaked potatoes. The wait staff is kind and efficient, and with downtime were cleaning windows and straightening tables. Hub loved his brisket sandwich with baked beans. I chose the four sides plate with fried okra, sweet potato crunch, slaw, Brunswick stew, and cornbread. Their Brunswick stew is different, more like soup but was very tasty. It was ideal with the cornbread broken up into it. I love sweet potato crunch but was disappointed that theirs was burned on top. The fried okra and slaw were top notch delicious!
