I had to weave through 3 lanes of traffic to take an immediate left to get to him. It was worth the risk. I have done riskier things to get good bbq. Big Ed has a perfect set-up at Stanley & Webster. A deserted parking lot right on the corner with easy access from all directions. A walk up shack where you order from a menu that ranges from ribs to fried bologna. Not sure what you want to eat? Just walk over to his beautiful, seasoned direct heat cooker made from an old oil tank. Big Ed cooks with charcoal and cherry wood. You can literally stand in front of it and pick from a plethora of bbq'd meats. Chicken, ribs, sausages, fried bologna (yep) and probably others. The heat and smoke from the cooker keep your views short-lived I went for the rib sandwich and the day's special. The special was a pepper jack sausage, chips and drink for $5. I think the rib sandwich was $11. The sausage was store-bought and ho-hum. Not bad, but not very good either. The rib sandwich was the highlight here. The ribs looks so perfect on the cooker. The color was mahogany and they had crispy char in all the right spots. Big Ed cut the ribs for my sandwich right on the grate of the cooker. He slaps some sauce on them and places them in a styrofoam container with a perfectly cheap and soft white hamburger bun. Rib Sandwich! I sat on my tailgate and watched traffic roll by while making a fool of myself with sauce all over my hands and face. A lunch fit for a sunny Friday afternoon in April. Mac and cheese is creamy and warm and comforting while Rueben is bold, an explosion of flavor that catches your taste buds off guard. Onto the complaints about price. It's $6ish for a generous portion of croquettes and homemade (not "cheap") potato chips. The price is reasonable and comparable to other food trucks. The croquettes are always warm and gooey and flavor packed. Definitely not the same as traditional bar food. Oh yeah and they aren't very greasy but they are deep fried so you probably shouldn't expect it to be completely devoid of grease! Thanks for coming to Speedway!

The horchata and tacos were all delicious! The salsas were also very good, and they gave me two large slices of lime for my food. I will definitely go back. Reasonably priced in my opinion, I paid $16 for four tacos and a large horchata. The food was really well wrapped in heavy duty tin foil and placed in a plastic grocery bag. On my way home my food slid off the seat and crashed onto the floor, but everything stayed intact! This wasn't a problem for me, but just know it is cash only and there's no seating while you're waiting. I sat and waited on a concrete parking block since I didn't park close enough to see the window.

He was friendly and quick; we ordered two Philly cheesesteaks and asked about the chocolate chip cookies. He told us they were totally out of the cookies. He pointed out the two deserts on display at the order window and I told him we would try out the carrot cake. Our total was $25 and we added a tip. He advised us it would be about 10 minutes for our order to come out, which we appreciated the estimate. It was about 10-15 minutes when he called us to the pick up window to grab our food. He handed us the two boxes with cheesesteaks in them with some napkins. We asked about our carrot cake and it said they were all out he apologized and gave us two brownies...unfortunately they didn't even look very appetizing. I opened my box up and was immediately disappointed and skeptical--the meat looked overcooked and dry. When I picked it up oil dripped from the bottom of the sub buns and each bite caused oil to drip down my chin it was flavorless, and the overcooked meat was hard and dry. Definitely could improve with more seasoning, less oil and some more mayo. Very disappointing. Hubby agreed and after trying the brownies he said they weren't very good either. Unfortunately, this won't be a food truck we return to.

I tried the brie and pear sliders (see photo), Texas caviar, and Ringo's fries. I was under the impression that they would be actual hamburger sliders topped with brie and pear. Nope, just brie and pear on a baguette. None the less, delicious! I think I'll try the Wisconsin burger next time. I recommend the fries. They come with freshly flash-fried with a side of dipping sauce comparable to "bloomin' onion" sauce... But BETTER since it has some slight heat to it. I would have included a photo of the fries but I inhaled them too quickly. Oops. Friendly service and their daily location is posted on their Facebook page. Lastly, they accept both cash and credit.
