I was impressed when us 4 ladies stopped in here on Sunday August 11, 2024 while visiting My Cousins in Mountain Top for two birthday parties. This local and favorite winery is both beautiful on the outside upon entering with tasting at high top tables and chairs plus inside where the sipping and snack areas are if looking for coolness while enjoying the Wine Sipping Vibes. There's outdoor seating to keep a customer dry from rain or sunshine. The staff is very pleasant and helpful when looking for a favorite bottle or tasting a sample before making a purchase. I couldn't believe the organization which I always look for when walking in a place of business especially wine and other items from local vendors. There was a covered porch overlooking the green, rolling hills. Inside were two rooms and we were the only 2 visitors. The girl was friendly, and we really enjoyed hearing the history of the family. My daughter was with us and the girl gave her an activity with snacks. That was so thoughtful and a nice touch. My husband and I have different taste in wine and there were options for both of us. Ample parking, there is a short walk to the tasting room, where you can see the construction among the vineyard, as they expand their location. We learned the pourers are wine consultants from Mendoza, Argentina, brought over by the winery owner to help develop a variety of wines. It really is a gem. I'm so happy the consultants were ok giving up their summers at home to develop quality wine in the middle of nowhere PA. $5 for 6 wines, we selected from 7 whites, 3 sweets, 7 reds. We shared: Albarino: 'tart' needed to be chilled more Cab Franc: pepper on the finish, lighter on the in-take Chambourcin: sweeter than normal Merlot: bold for a merlot Petit Verdot: too light Flagship Red: pepper from the Cab Franc, bold from the Merlot, a twist probably from the Malbec, but light tannin finish from the Petit Verdot From talking through the wines, we learned the Chardonnay was the favorite of our pourer, so he let us add it on-glad we did, we went home with a bottle: smooth, buttery, with a slight oak twinge. Great place to sit out and have a quality glass of wine, though probably better to just take home the bottle due to the construction views, but definitely worth supporting the winery either way!
