Courtesy and great service is alive and well at Mid-South! I ran across Mid-South while helping my…read more86-yr old mom look for a new stove. After lots of research online and plenty of frustration with the big-box stores, I decided to call Mid-South in Shreveport to see if they could help. I spoke with Chris, who treated me with amazing respect and professionalism and took time to answer all my questions. I knew from that conversation that he could help my mom get her stove. So I sent her there. He did in fact help her, though she ended up keeping her existing stove for other reasons. But the experience was amazing. Even though it didn't result in a sale like we wanted, I had to hop online to leave this review so that others will know. Go see Mid-South, because professionalism, product knowledge, and great service is alive and well at this place! In the words of my 86-year-old mom, "Meeting Chris was worth two trips to Mid-South." Great job, y'all!!

Great selection of antiques. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly on most occasions. I…read moregave them a 4 because of my most recent experience with a clerk named "Jana" who was less than service friendly. Initially, I asked her if she happens to know where I could find a remote control. I wanted to see if one fit into a small item I was considering purchasing. Without even asking me why I was making such a request she said..."If their is no remote control with your item then it does not have one." This is not at all what I was asking and felt that any clerk should have replied..."well sir what do you need one for?" In which case I would have explained. Then, at check I asked about a customary discount I always get their she said flippantly, "Oh well, I can't possibly give you any discount after I processed a transaction." I found her attitude to be less than professional and certainly not customer caring. That said she stood out to me from a of the other wonderful staff I have encountered their regularly. I highly recommend this place and hopefully you won't run into this person.
