Maybe due to the break in over the long weekend, I saw broken window about 1:30 am and police there etc, it pisses me off that crime is happening more often in our neighborhood recently. I remember when this area was really bad twenty years ago and I hope it doesn't repeat. I wanted to support them as a customer this week but since hours not posted anywhere except on here I don't know when they close up these days Anyhow I really like some of the employees, miss the guy who ran it like a pro few years back, he was the best. Lately though some of them don't know what you are asking for, my theory is they are hanging out in the back door more than they are getting to know their products. I frequent places that know me as customer and that's disappearing it seems. Sucks they got robbed, no one deserves that.

The device wouldn't turn on at all, even when connected to a charger. I returned to the store almost immediately with the packaging expecting a simple replacement, but the owner was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Instead of resolving the issue, he tried to shift blame and gaslight the situation, even though the device clearly never worked. Any reputable shop knows that sometimes products arrive defective, and replacing it for a customer who just purchased it is basic customer service. Even just the right thing to do as a human being. Instead, I was refused help and the guy wouldn't even provide his name when asked. Such a disappointing experience. I paid for a product that never worked and was treated poorly when I tried to resolve it and there never was a solution. I'd never come back or spend my money here again.

This place is pretty cool and never noticed this place even existed!…read more My husband and I always said "We don't have any Whole Foods type of stores here... just a Trader Joe's around the corner." Well guess what? California Heights Market is like a mini version of Whole Foods. They serve a lot of quality and organic products + other amazing things you can find.. like aged meat, sushi, infused olive oils, a spice shop, bread, sandwiches, nursery and *drum rolls* beer on tap! Such a small market packed with so many great things AND they have upstairs and outside seating!! I can see parking getting a little tough here on busier days as it does seem to be in the busier part of Castro Valley with all the other eateries you can find outside of the California Heights Market.
