The service is off the charts. First class wait staff! Very good BBQ. They started us off with the bacon wrapped Jalapenos. I could have made a meal out of this appetizer alone. I enjoyed my visit to smokehouse. I was able to visit on a Wednesday evening where there wasn't much of a crowd. When we arrived our IDs and bags were checked and then we were greeted by the host walking in. We had our choice at a table and ordered drinks to start. I ordered the Diddy which had a great flavor but I feel like the drinks are watered down and overpriced. We brought a hookah which was $40 (not too bad) and they had a variety of flavors. It wasn't too strong and our coal was changed mid meal. We ordered and the food was pretty good. Our waiter checked on us a couple times but there were times we had to flag her down. The waitresses here seem more like bottle girls and I think that's where the disconnect is. There are a lot of different skills used as a waitress and bottle girl but overall a solid material. Just tried this place and after reading previous reviews decided to give it a try but not during evening hours. I ordered thru UberEats pick up around 4:30 on a Saturday. Pick up was easy. Front staff were great. I got the Jive Turkey which came with macaroni and cheese, greens, and sweet potatoes. Across the board, all ingredients in the Jive Turkey was delicious and will be back. I also got a side of dirty rice just to try it. It was incredibly bland and mushy. Do not get it. I also got the banana pudding, again, I would not recommend. The banana pudding is the artificially banana flavored pudding with a few mini nilla wafers on top. Do not get it if you like real banana pudding. Overall, I stand by the Jive Turkey and will be back for it again. I'll update if I go during evening hours and let you know how it goes. read more

1. The online prices are incorrect on their own website. You arrive and everything is $5+ more on the in-store menu. 2. Everything on the menu isn't available. Items my party wanted to order were no longer being offered. 3. The band is fire but too loud. You can't have a decent conversation without telling. I do not prefer to see a lady in a mini cami strap dress walking back and forth into the kitchen where my food is prepared. I later find out this is the owner. 5. I really really wanted to give a great review. I planned on spending a decent amount of money with this business. I'll start from the beginning, we were seated promptly which was great, the waiter brung everyone water right away. The environment is really nice, it could be number one however there wasn't enough waiters. There was only three waiters, one bartender, one hookah host. All the waiters, host and hookah girls were all drinking and smoking hookah while working. Our waiter was decent, she got our drinks in a timely fashion but when it came to the food at first we had a 45 min wait on turkey legs then after a hour and 30 mins I asked how much longer on the turkey legs she said another hour. I said wth just cancel it and I ordered wings and fries which took another 45mins. The chicken wings came out fresh and hot however the fries were cold asf. Like who tf cook fries before the chicken!!!! Majority of the food we wanted to order was unavailable. We ordered hookah once we arrived and never received it. Total Disaster! First off we arrived at 5:50pm Google said they open at 6pm. There was no one inside people were sitting in their cars waiting to get inside. We stood in line until 7pm. I was excited to see there was a place that served Stuffed Turkey Legs in North Carolina so my boyfriend and I drove over 3 hours to visit this restaurant, based on a viewer's experience on Instagram. Talk about disappointment, the waitress/server we had was the WORST I experienced! Her name is Deja. Unsure of the spelling because they did not have name tags on. She was very inattentive because she completely forgot about us not once but TWICE! She was unfamiliar with the restaurant's menu and had no idea what "Deveined Shrimp" meant! As for the meal, I decided on the Surf & Turf which consisted of Shrimp, a 5 oz. Lobster tail, Smoked Turkey Leg with a Cream Sauce. The dish was ok but I felt it wasn't worth $50 as there were no vegetables or carbs or anything to complement this dish. I will admit the Turkey Leg itself was very Tender and I would have been better off just getting it plain Turkey Leg and ordered a side of vegetables. TikTok tricked me! The restaurant is on the side shopping center by NorthLake mall across from 5 guys where the old Shane's used to be. When arrived we were sat immediately after our IDs and bags were checked. Once we sat down we noticed they're weren't a lot of tables and chairs for guests, we were told the restaurant changes into a club at 10pm so they remove the table and chairs to have a dance floor. There is a DJ who was playing tunes from the 90s and 2000s. Almost every table had hookah-which was kind of a turn off bc well COVID. After sitting down at 9:15 we decided it might be better to order take out since we weren't trying to stay for the club. We ordered the jive turkey and a Tropical island punch. My friend said the drink tasted like kool-aid and she didn't taste any alcohol. Our order came up to 89.00 total, which is more than I was anticipated online it stated 25, I paid and was quoted a 30 min wait time. There is no official waiting area, so we stood in the entryway were they take to go orders. After about 20 mins the hookah smoke made me sick to my stomach so We waited the remaining time outside. Our food was ready at the quoted time and it was hot fresh out of the smoker. As far as the food The greens were ok, nothing really special. The Mac and Cheese had no cheese or roux. And the candied yams had zero sugar, cinnamon or brown sugar. I would recommend this place if you just want a smoked turkey leg but I would not recommend the stuffed jive turkey. read more
